🎄 Do You Decorate Your Christmas Tree Before or After Thanksgiving? 🎄

Every year there is a debate between those who decorate before and those who decorate after Thanksgiving.

I've experienced doing it both ways with my family, and personally, I love to have all of the decorations up as long as possible, so yes, we start early now! And studies show that decorating can definitely lift your mood and make you feel happier. So, that's a good reason, too. Right?

However, I also realize some people like to wait until Thanksgiving Day is over and perhaps, they decorate with their family that holiday weekend when most have a little extra time off from work.

There's never a wrong time to decorate. Actually, the debate is over... it should just be whatever time is best for you!

No matter when we decorate our Christmas tree in our home, it seems each year there's always a new ornament I see and must add to our collection.

So... I wanted to share some of the ornaments I've seen and liked this year. Help me to narrow it down to just two! Please!!

Each year, when we get out our cherished Christmas ornaments, I think of the Hallmark movie The Christmas Ornament and how Cameron Mathison's character refers to the ornaments as "memories on branches." That statement is profoundly beautiful, and just thinking about it warms my heart. It is simple but true. So many of our ornaments have special meaning behind them, and I'm sure many of the ornaments on your Christmas tree hold special memories for you, too!

Marie’s once-lost Christmas sprit gets another boost when she meets her handsome neighbor, Nate, and feels a spark with him while celebrating the season. When Marie’s boss assigns her to edit the book of the man who broke her heart, however, it resurfaces her past holiday heartache, and even causes her to push Nate away. Feeling lost both at work and in love, Marie looks for a Christmas miracle to give her the confidence to pursue her work goals and to try to win Nate back. As Christmas approaches, Marie must follow her heart’s passion—both at work and in love—and hope her Christmas ornaments work their magic one more time.

Do you have a favorite Christmas ornament, old or new? We have an old-fashioned nativity glass ball ornament that holds a meaningful memory of my grandparents and a Santa Claus that has been on our tree many years, and even though his red coat is a little faded, I still love him and look forward to seeing him each year on our Christmas tree! Oh how I enjoy to oooh and aaah over the new Hallmark ornaments each year. I love the fun characters and all the ones that light up and play Christmas music!

What a wonderful time this is to see all the new ornaments emerge!
