Actor Kevin Sorbo Stars in New Movie Released on DVD!!!
The new Biblical film 'Joseph & Mary' starring actor Kevin Sorbo ('God's Not Dead', 'Shadow on the Mesa', 'The Santa Suit', etc...), Lara Jean Chorostecki, Steven McCarthy, and Lucius Hoyos - is now available on DVD!
Here's a description of the complete story, via Amazon: "JOSEPH AND MARY is a biblical drama that follows Elijah, a devout Rabbi, during a time of unrest when King Herod the Greats slaughter of innocents claims the lives of two boys Elijah had sworn to protect. Elijah makes it his life s mission to avenge their deaths, but when he meets a Joseph, Mary and their young son Jesus, the beliefs fueling his revenge are put into question. When the time comes to face his life-long enemy, Elijah finds himself warring within whether or not to kill or choose forgiveness."
DVD Release Date: July 5, 2016
Run Time: 83 minutes
Rating: Unknown/Not Rated
Since Kevin Sorbo has starred in many of the made-for-TV movies we love, I thought many of you would enjoy hearing about this new DVD release! I appreciate the stories Kevin brings to the theater, or our homes, that show the faith and love of God, and stories filled with hope and inspiration, such Christmas Angel, Abel's Field, What If?, etc...!
In further Sorbo news, as I reported on the Upcoming Christmas Movies page, actor Kevin Sorbo (along with his wife Sam) is working on a Christmas Movie, set for next year (2017) titled 'Let There Be Light'. According to IMDB, it is currently in pre-production!

Original Air Date: March 22, 2015
CAST:
David Threlfall ... Noah
Joanne Whalley ... Emmie
Nico Mirallegro ...
Ashley Walters ...
Emily Bevan ...
Hannah John-Kamen ...
Georgina Campbell ...
Ian Smith ...
Michael Fox ...
Andrew Hawley ...
PLOT:
The UP Premiere Movie "Noah's Ark," written by Tony Jordan (Hustle, The Nativity), is a retelling of the biblical story of Noah and The Ark. Noah, a farmer and family man, is instructed by an angel to build an ark in the middle of a desert in order to save both his family and the faithful from a devastating flood. A seemingly impossible task, especially when his sons refuse to believe him and help, Noah risks ridicule and humiliation from the degenerate townsfolk as well as his loving but exasperated family, in his quest to carry out his God-given task. Co-produced with the BBC, "Noah's Ark" is a timeless tale; a story of family and faith; about one man's belief and fixation with building the ark which will ultimately save his family and mankind. It is an obsession which leads to the fragmentation of his family, a test of their faith in their father and their father’s faith in God and everything he believes in.

PLOT:
via NBC: From executive producers Roma Downey ("The Bible") and Mark Burnett ("The Bible," "The Voice") comes an uplifting spiritual journey through the later chapters of biblical history. "A.D. The Bible Continues" picks up where the smash hit miniseries "The Bible" left off, continuing the greatest story ever told and exploring the exciting and inspiring events that followed the Crucifixion of Christ.
The immediate aftermath of Christ's death had a massive impact on his disciples, his mother, Mary, and key political and religious leaders of the era, completely altering the entire world in an instant. Beginning at that fateful moment of the Crucifixion and the Resurrection, "A.D. The Bible Continues" will focus on the disciples who had to go forward and spread the teachings of Christ to a world dominated by political unrest, and the start of a whole new religion that would dramatically reshape the history of the world.
Jesus (Juan Pablo Di Pace) dies on the cross at the hands of the Romans, deserted by even his most loyal followers. Peter (Adam Levy) and the disciples are hunted by Temple authorities led by High Priest Caiaphas (Richard Coyle) and Roman soldiers under orders from Governor Pontius Pilate (Vincent Regan). For the tiny band of followers, every day is a fight for survival, and their mission to spread the word to the world seems impossible.
Yet, they have hope and soon they have power: the amazing miracle of the Resurrection and the shocking arrival of the Holy Spirit upon them all at Pentecost enables them to inspire more and more people to join. The growing church brings challenges for Peter, John (Babou Alieu Ceesay) and Mary Magdalene (Chipo Chung), who are pushed to the limit; they face trials and imprisonments, persecutions and punishments while trying to understand the God-given power granted to them as they transition from the sorrow of Christ's ultimate sacrifice to the awe-inspiring wonder of the Resurrection and beyond.
