What I'm planning to catch on TV this weekend...

I'm hoping to watch some of the "Leave it to Beaver" marathon on FETV on Sunday evening, 7pm-10pm. They are calling it "A Very Ward Father's Day Marathon." I've always enjoyed watching the reruns of this series. It's refreshing to see a show with honest and decent children, who still get in trouble and make mistakes, but ultimately, respect their father and mother.

I'm also looking forward to seeing the new "Duck Family Adventure!" My family and I always loved watching "Duck Dynasty" together; we would laugh so hard at all of their hilarious antics. Plus, it was always beautiful to see the Robertson family come together at the end of every episode for a family meal around the long dinner table and pray before eating. And while I know this won't be exactly the same... with Uncle Si, it still has to be a whole lot of fun! Plus, I'm hoping there will be elements of faith along the way, as well.

As for the new movies... I'm looking forward to seeing the premiere of A Romance Wedding on UPtv! First, I like the actress who plays the lead, Morgan Kohan. She's wonderful as Lillian in the When Hope Calls series. Plus, Morgan and her opposite in this, Drew Nelson, are a real-life couple! And to top it all off... we have a wonderful review from Maria, who is a loyal follower and reviewer here at It's a Wonderful Movie! Here is Maria's review:

💐 "I found a way to watch 'A Romance Wedding' early, and I really enjoyed it! And I'm proud to say that it's also clean. :) I'm sure you'll all enjoy it when it airs." –Maria (Thank you so much, Maria, for sharing this with us!)

The other new movie airing this weekend is Moriah's Lighthouse on the Hallmark Channel. I haven't pre-screened this movie, but here is an extra detail you may want to know: actor Paul Campbell (Surprised by Love, A Godwink Christmas, etc...) and Terrence Cunningham (director of Love Finds You in Sugarcreek, Enchanted Christmas, etc...) created the script for this movie, based on the book by Serena B. Miller. You may be familiar with Miller's other books-to-movies: An Uncommon Grace and Love Finds You in Sugarcreek.

Now, like I said... I don't know if the movie Moriah's Lighthouse will be a good one, yet, but I do like the theme of lighthouses for Father's Day weekend. When I think of lighthouses, I think of strength and security; they are steady and dependable, a guide lighting the way home. That's the most important role of fathers - guiding and loving their children, showing them the way and leading them through the journey of life.

I pray all of you fathers and grandfathers out there have a very Happy Father's Day! I'll be enjoying this special time with my family, showering my precious, hardworking Daddy and all of the fathers in our family with lots of love, and remembering my dear Pa-Pa and Grandpa in heaven.

How blessed we all are to have a heavenly Father - who loves us and calls us His children. He is always there when we call on His Name.

I hope you all have a nice, relaxing, peaceful weekend.

Blessings to You All! Net

SHINING HIS LIGHT:

"Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother” —which is the first commandment with a promise— “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.” Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord."
~Ephesians 6:1-4

"As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;"

🎵Graceland Movie Garage Sale! 🎵

image: Hallmark Crown Media

According to commercialappeal.com, there will be a special sale of items from the three Hallmark Channel Graceland movies: "The cash-only "Set Decoration, Props, and Wardrobe Sale" will take place from 2-7 p.m. Aug. 22 and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 23 at 1910 Nonconnah Blvd,, Suite 106 (the "Wedding at Graceland" and "Home for the Holidays" production office)."

Please don't get "All Shook Up" thinking this is the end. The article is clear to point out that this doesn't mean the end of the Graceland movies, in fact it specifically mentions, "more Elvis-connected feature-film romances are planned." This sale is simply a way for the production to let go of unnecessary items not needed for future films.

The three Graceland movies, with various products included are: Christmas at Graceland and Wedding at Graceland starring Kellie Pickler and Wes Brown and the upcoming, recently filmed, Christmas at Graceland: Home for the Holidays starring Adrian Grenier and Kaitlin Doubleday.

PLOT:

Storyline via Hallmark: A young woman’s hope for an engagement is upended unexpectedly when her fiancé tells her he is looking for someone more adventurous. On her train ride home, she finds herself trading glances with a handsome stranger who, as he exits the train, leaves his phone behind. As she endeavors to return the phone, she finds herself on a journey of self-discovery.

More plot details via Hallmark: After journalist Mary Landers (Amy Smart) is assigned to write a Valentine's Day story about "The Meaning of Love," her long-time boyfriend breaks up with her, leaving Mary feeling that her life is boring and predictable. Riding the crowded train home, she locks eyes with photo journalist James Fielding (Adrian Grenier) but before they can speak, he exits and accidentally leaves his phone behind. Finding that phone changes her life and Mary discovers through James that life is an adventure, never knowing where it is going to lead.

Mary Landers (Smart) is a young woman whose hope for an engagement is unexpectedly upended when her fiancé tells her he is looking for someone more adventurous.
