Wishing you all a joyful and meaningful holiday weekend! Whether you're gathering with loved ones, enjoying a cookout or fireworks, or simply taking a quiet moment to relax, I hope this Independence Day brings a sense of honor and gratitude.
We owe immense thanks to our Founding Fathers and to our military, who have continued to defend those ideals throughout history.
Every time I hear our National Anthem, I’m reminded of their bravery and sacrifice. It fills me with deep appreciation for the freedom and security we have in our country.
Speaking of our anthem, this week, on July 1st, several Hallmark stars gathered at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts, for a special fan event, including Ginna Claire Mason, Nikki DeLoach, Taylor Cole, Wes Brown, Andrew Walker, and Benjamin Ayres. Wes and Ginna Claire announced their upcoming Christmas movie, A Newport Christmas, Wes threw out the first pitch, and Ginna Claire beautifully sang our cherished National Anthem. See highlights of this below!
Also, to celebrate and honor America, I’ve gathered some of the special TV events, festivities, movies, and more that will be airing this 4th of July weekend. See them all below...

Storyline: Tina, a talented gift-wrapper, takes on the challenge of organizing the annual Christmas gala. However, a grumpy estate owner threatens to derail the festive event.
Movie Reviews:
π Unwrapping Christmas Tina’s Miracle is family friendly. I did like this movie. I felt it was a little slow at first but glad I finished it. It Inspires you to self reflect and to not let the past dictate your future. -Elizbeth
π Unwrapping Christmas: Tina's Miracle is a sweet movie, highly recommend. Hopefully the next 3 movies are also good. –Maria
π Unwrapping Christmas: Tina’s Miracle is a sweet and lighthearted film centered around four close friends, Tina, Lily, Mia, and Olivia, who own and run their own charming gift-wrap shop, All Wrapped Up. Tina (Natalie Hall) finds herself drawn to a kind single father whose daughter has special educational needs. All of the friends become deeply involved in organizing the Christmas gala. A small note of caution: there is a mention of horoscopes by one character, Lily, but it's brief. Overall, it’s a heartwarming and cheerful Christmas movie. ~Net

DeleteI know this 4th of July weekend is a busy time for many, and I’ve been soaking up some sweet moments with my family too... but my heart has also been heavy, following the heartbreaking news out of Texas. I’ve been lifting everyone affected up in prayer, and I know many of you are following the news and praying, too.
ReplyDeleteThe devastation from the flash floods, especially at the Christian summer camp, Camp Mystic, is truly overwhelming. My heart goes out to everyone affected.
I’m praying for the safety of the rescue teams and holding on to hope that survivors are still out there, waiting to be found.
May God bring comfort, strength, and peace to everyone impacted.❤️
Amen, Net! I feel especially sad when it's young lives that are lost!
DeleteI couldn’t believe this news when I woke up to it on Saturday. I’m praying with you Net for those poor families and the girls who survived. Their memories must be haunting. Christie
DeleteMy heart breaks every time there’s an update about this very sad news. Those poor parents and their siblings. I pray they would be comforted and lean on the Lord during this time and that He would use this time to strengthen their faith in Him.
Delete“I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my Hope.” - Psalm 13:5 (NIV)
ReplyDelete“ Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his love endures forever" - Psalm 136 (NIV)
ReplyDeleteI didn’t know about this. So sad, praying for them.
ReplyDeleteI hope everyone here had a nice day celebrating the birth of our country and honoring the men and women who fight to preserve our freedom! Our city loves to celebrate!! We can hear fireworks all over and was able to watch a professional show on the side of a road. No crowds, perfect view, and no traffic!!
ReplyDeletePlus we found out we are expecting another nephew or niece!! Baby #3!! I’m so excited!
Abigail, congrats on Baby #3! Keep us posted during these upcoming months!
DeleteThank you Mark 25! I am so excited! I love my 2 nephews and very happy to have one more! I’m rooting for a girl, though if the Lord blesses us with another boy, we’ll be thankful and shower him with love! We find out in October the gender. Now I really can’t wait till fall!
DeleteAbigail, Congratulations, once again, Auntie!!! Oh, I'm so happy for you and your sweet family!!! What joy!!! :)
DeleteHi Abigail! Oh congratulations! Sorry I am late in sending you happy thoughts and congrats! Such wonderful news! I know you are the best Auntie in the world!!!π₯°
DeleteThanks Joan! I’m thrilled! Glory be to God!
DeleteSo sad. π so many young lives lost at the camp and little girls still missing.
ReplyDeletenice post
ReplyDeleteWe were really sorry to hear about the flooding. We have a river near us, so we know all about flood watches and evacuations. Been through that many times. Awful situation.
ReplyDeleteOn a different subject, we caught the 4th of July program on PBS. I wasn’t sure The Beach Boys were going to show up, but minutes before the fireworks, there they were! It was nice to see a couple originals as I’ve been a fan since their early days. Robert
Robert, Sorry to hear about the flooding you've had to go through.
DeleteI also watched the Capitol 4th program. I recorded it to watch on Sunday, and was also wondering if the Beach Boys were going to show up, especially after they started the countdown to fireworks. I thought they were running out of time, but thankfully not. Their medley of hits was so fun, as always!!! Glad you enjoyed the show. :)
As a mother, I can't even fathom what those parents are going through. As a parent, you know how exciting summer camp can be for kids. I remember how much fun I had as a kid at summer camp. You don't expect a tragedy like this to happen. My heart goes out to them as well as everyone who lost their homes, possessions and loved ones. I also want to send out prayers to those in NC who were impacted by severe flooding.
ReplyDeleteJoan, Thank you for your sweet message. I'm also praying for NC, as well. The state is obviously still recovering from Hurricane Helene last September. My heart goes out to them and all they've been through this past year.
DeleteAnd, of course, Texas, as you said... is unfathomable. Many prayers going up for them all.
You are welcome!
