Happy 4th of July Weekend, Friends!
Happy Birthday, America!

Wishing you all a joyful and meaningful holiday weekend! Whether you're gathering with loved ones, enjoying a cookout or fireworks, or simply taking a quiet moment to relax, I hope this Independence Day brings a sense of honor and gratitude.

We owe immense thanks to our Founding Fathers and to our military, who have continued to defend those ideals throughout history.

Every time I hear our National Anthem, I’m reminded of their bravery and sacrifice. It fills me with deep appreciation for the freedom and security we have in our country.

Speaking of our anthem, this week, on July 1st, several Hallmark stars gathered at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts, for a special fan event, including Ginna Claire Mason, Nikki DeLoach, Taylor Cole, Wes Brown, Andrew Walker, and Benjamin Ayres. Wes and Ginna Claire announced their upcoming Christmas movie, A Newport Christmas, Wes threw out the first pitch, and Ginna Claire beautifully sang our cherished National Anthem. See highlights of this below!

Also, to celebrate and honor America, I’ve gathered some of the special TV events, festivities, movies, and more that will be airing this 4th of July weekend. See them all below...

Movie Reviews:

🎄 Unwrapping Christmas Tina’s Miracle is family friendly. I did like this movie. I felt it was a little slow at first but glad I finished it. It Inspires you to self reflect and to not let the past dictate your future. -Elizbeth

🎄 Unwrapping Christmas: Tina's Miracle is a sweet movie, highly recommend. Hopefully the next 3 movies are also good. –Maria

🎄 Unwrapping Christmas: Tina’s Miracle is a sweet and lighthearted film centered around four close friends, Tina, Lily, Mia, and Olivia, who own and run their own charming gift-wrap shop, All Wrapped Up. Tina (Natalie Hall) finds herself drawn to a kind single father whose daughter has special educational needs. All of the friends become deeply involved in organizing the Christmas gala. A small note of caution: there is a mention of horoscopes by one character, Lily, but it's brief. Overall, it’s a heartwarming and cheerful Christmas movie. ~Net

Hallmark Channel's Christmas in July 2025 Schedule🎄✨ Plus, Hallmark Mystery's July Movie Premiere 🔎

The wait is over! Hallmark Channel has released the first promo and official preview for Christmas in July, 2025!

During Hallmark Channel's annual Christmas in July 2025 event the network will debut the four "Unwrapping Christmas" films starring Natalie Hall, Cindy Busby, Ashley Newbrough, and Kathryn Davis!

These four films each made their debut on Hallmark+ in November 2024, premiering back-to-back. This July will be the first time each film airs on the Hallmark Channel. I personally have seen all four movies, and they are all absolutely charming! These holiday films are perfect for family viewing, and I loved seeing the strong friendship among the four women as they each found romance.

Unwrapping Christmas: Tina’s Miracle

Hallmark+ Premiere Date: Thursday, November 7, 2024

Hallmark Channel Premiere Date: Saturday, July 5, 2025

Starring: Natalie Hall and Alec Santos

Storyline: Tina, a talented gift-wrapper, takes on the challenge of organizing the annual Christmas gala. However, a grumpy estate owner threatens to derail the festive event.

Tina (played by Natalie Hall) finds herself drawn to a kind-hearted single father whose daughter has special educational needs, adding a touching romantic subplot. All of the friends become deeply involved in organizing the Christmas gala. A small note of caution: there is a brief mention of horoscopes by one character, Lily, but it's minor. Overall, it’s a heartwarming and cheerful Christmas movie. ~Net

Unwrapping Christmas: Mia’s Prince

Hallmark+ Premiere Date: Thursday, November 14, 2024

Hallmark Channel Premiere Date: Saturday, July 12, 2025

Starring: Kathryn Davis and Nathan Witte

Storyline: Mia’s life takes a fairytale turn when she meets Beau, a man straight out of her favorite romance novel. As they navigate the ups and downs of love, a meddling mother attempts to thwart their happily ever after.

Movie Reviews:

🎄 Unwrapping Christmas: Mia's Prince is clean and so heartfelt and romantic! –Maria

🎄 Unwrapping Christmas: Mia’s Prince - The second movie in the series is just as sweet and charming as the first. This time, the spotlight is on Mia, played by Kathryn Davis, who is an avid reader and hopeless romantic. Watching her fairytale dreams begin to unfold is both delightful and heartwarming. As the group of friends work together to plan the town’s upcoming Christmas gala, their friendship grows stronger, and the event turns into a joyful success. ~Net

🎄 We enjoyed the second movie in the Unwrapping Christmas series. I’m really enjoying the friendships between the four ladies. Mia was very sweet. Christie

🎄 Oh my gosh, we enjoyed "Unwrapping Christmas: Mia's Prince" so much! Mia and Beaux had off the charts chemistry! I have always liked the actress who played Mia. Just all around lovely and sweet movie. We did enjoy it so much more than the 1st one. We thought the first one was just okay. ~Joan

🎄 So far the Unwrapping Christmas movies have been family friendly. I’ve seen the first three so far. Be prepared for cheesiness! They have been cute. (And I love Mia’s Christmasy outfits) But for the friendship, as sweet as it is, doesn’t compare with the Wedding Veil Girls. ~Abigail

Unwrapping Christmas: Lily’s Destiny

Hallmark+ Premiere Date: Thursday, November 21, 2024

Hallmark Channel Premiere Date: Saturday, July 19, 2025

Starring: Ashley Newbrough and Torrance Coombs

Storyline: Amidst the chaos of the holiday season, Lily, a hardworking marketing whiz, meets a charming realtor. As their connection grows, she wonders if he could be the perfect holiday gift.

Movie Reviews:

🎄 Unwrapping Christmas: Lily's Destiny is clean. –Maria

🎄 Unwrapping Christmas: Lily’s Destiny is another delightful installment in this charming series. This story introduces an intriguing love triangle that keeps things interesting. Lily, portrayed by Ashley Newbrough, is radiant and attractive; she finds herself torn between the town’s wealthy, most eligible bachelor and a new acquaintance who shares a meaningful connection to her past and brings a comforting sense of home. It's a fun, feel-good, family-friendly movie. ~Net

🎄 I wouldn’t recommend Lily’s movie if you have younger children watching. Fate is often mentioned and she’s always taking about horoscopes. ~Abigail

🎄 "Unwrapped for Christmas" was just okay. Yes, it was clean. And, the leads had decent chemistry, but I was a bit bored. Plus, all of the signs and horoscope readings should not have been included. ~Joan

Unwrapping Christmas: Olivia’s Reunion

Hallmark+ Premiere Date: Thursday, November 28, 2024

Hallmark Channel Premiere Date: Saturday, July 26, 2025

Starring: Cindy Busby and Jake Epstein

Storyline: Olivia finds herself trapped in a cabin with her ex-boyfriend Ben. The time together allows them to explore the idea of a second chance at romance.

Movie Reviews:

🎄 Unwrapping Christmas: Olivia's Reunion is clean. All in all, a cute ensamble series on Hallmark +. -Maria

🎄 Unwrapping Christmas: Olivia’s Reunion - Watching this movie was such a delight! This final film in the series does a wonderful job of bringing the journeys of Olivia and her three best friends full circle. Cindy Busby portrays the expressive and vibrant Olivia and truly shines in this role.

And then there’s Jake Epstein, who plays the perfect counter to Cindy’s character. He always brings such a fun and engaging energy to his roles, making every scene enjoyable to watch. Their chemistry together is fantastic; it was such a joy to see these two exes stuck together during a snowstorm.

Overall, this movie is lighthearted and family-friendly, making it a great pick for viewing any time of the year. Olivia's Christmas love story wraps up the entire series perfectly! ~Net

🎄 I’ve been watching the Unwrapping Christmas Hallmark movies and honestly, they’re the perfect kind of holiday movie with just the right mix of cheesy and sweet. I’ve loved them all. I wish Hallmark would play all four of them in a row. ~Christmas Movie Fan🎄

🎄 We picked the right movie for us. Had some friends over and watched the last Unwrapping Christmas movie together, which is a good choice for all ages. Not that the kids paid attention fully, but it felt safe with them in the room and all. Cindy Busby was great (as always). Perfect ending to all four movies. Christie

🎄 Anyway, we did watch the final "Unwrapped for Christmas" movie. I do agree with Abigail. It was so cheesy! And, I did not like the silliness of the scenes where to dog was acting up. But, I also agree with Abigail that it was the best of the four movies. I thought Cindy and Jake were very good. There was a serenity about them that just worked. They were believable as a couple. ~Joan

🎄 I rewatched "Unwrapping Christmas: Olivia’s Reunion" yesterday and I had forgotten what Ben's father says near the end as they sit down for Christmas dinner... "What an adventure to get here today, huh? This is a Christmas we will not soon forget. But we are all together, we're warm, we're safe, we're well-fed."

And then he finishes his speech by saying, "You know, God works in mysterious ways, and I'd like to think, that the path that has led us all here today is for reasons that are bigger than we all know."

Unfortunately, there wasn't a prayer over the meal, but I was still surprised and glad to hear this acknowledgement of God guiding their paths all together.

By the way, Olivia's story is my favorite, as well. I loved the way they tied in their friendships in each story and how they were always there for one another, even if they were miles apart! :) ~Net

🎄 I loved Cindy’s unwrapping Christmas movie the best, she is just such a good actress! ~Susan Ann

🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄

What a fun weekend ahead for Christmas movies! I'm looking forward to Great American Family's premiere, Destined at Christmas, and two of Hallmark's look potentially good to me... Noel Next Door and A Kismet Christmas!

Destined at Christmas looks intriguing since it centers around Black Friday shopping and falling in love! I'm curious to see how these two people will search for one another after their chance meeting.

Noel Next Door is giving me and I'm sure many of you, too, vibes of Christmas Next Door, but the male lead seems even Grinchier. That's a word, right? Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing Natalie Hall and Corey Sevier paired together again. They had such great chemistry in Road Trip Romance, even if the story faltered in a few places.

Then, the last movie I'm excited about is... A Kismet Christmas! I was instantly drawn to the images where they dress up in Victorian-style costumes. I also love that the lead role is a children's book author. It looks like a sweet one, and it's nice to see the young actress from last year's GAC Family premiere, A Christmas Miracle for Daisy.

*Be sure to note... the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries NEW Christmas movie, We Need a Little Christmas, premieres on SATURDAY night at 10pm/9c. I know we are used to most premieres on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries on Sunday evening. This movie looks good to me, too, but I know it may also be a little sad, as well.

Last, but not least, for the Christmas movies... Kristoffer Polaha's all new Christmas movie, We Wish You a Married Christmas, premieres this weekend! Don't get me wrong, I really him, but I'm not too sure about this story with the quarreling spouses. Plus, some of the other characters seem to be a bit over-the-top with their silliness in the commercial promo, but we'll see.

In non-holiday movie news... I pre-screened the new UPtv movie, Star-Crossed Romance...

Movie Review:

Star-Crossed Romance is mostly family-friendly, with a few cautions... God's name is used in vain, at least twice, and the drama teacher, who is one of the side characters, acts VERY, VERY Strange. He has a fairly large stomach and he often rubs it and rolls around to get on the stage. My eyebrows were raised more than a few times. The chemistry between the leads was lacking, in my opinion, and some of the acting was sub-par. I never quite understood why the parents were punished to work on the school play's set after their children, who are portraying a modern (very odd) re-telling of Romeo and Juliet, got in a fight. Near the end, there was a nice moment when the two single parents and their children enjoyed a family dinner, but even that was spoiled when Piper, the mother, asks if they say grace, and the father and daughter, say “yeah,” and they simply say “grace” loudly in unison. They all laugh and begin to eat. So… praying is essentially laughed at. I could go on, but I'll just say it has a happy ending where family is put first before work, but the movie is definitely not a keeper for me. ~Net

If you'd like to share your thoughts on the new movies or anything else... please leave a response in comments below.

Disclaimer: Please know when I share a movie, this is NOT an endorsement of any of the actors involved, personally or professionally, with their other TV/film projects.

Please note: I haven't pre-screened the new Christmas movies airing this weekend. If you'd like to post a review on whether a film is family-friendly, please share in comments. I also want to include a caution here. At this point, we don't know which movies will be family-friendly. I'm hoping there will still be many, but at this time, we just don't know. Throughout the Christmas Season I will do my best to inform you on various storylines, and if any of you who follow here catch something, please be sure to share in comments. I definitely want to include a BIG *Thank You* to all of the awesome reviewers who visit here and contribute so much at Christmastime and all throughout the year.

Joyous Christmas Blessings to You All!
