First, I'd like to wish a very Happy Mother’s Day to my kind, caring, thoughtful, amazing, beautiful Momma! Her love, strength, and grace inspire me every day. I'm so blessed to call her mine. I’m deeply grateful for the love and dedication she—and my daddy—poured into raising us. Their guidance shaped our values and, most importantly, led us to a strong faith in Jesus. Today and always, I cherish their constant support. Their love is a true reflection of God’s love!
Also, Happy Mother’s Day to all you amazing mamas who stop by here! You have the toughest—and most rewarding—job in the world!
I’m deeply thankful to the Lord for the beautiful gift of mothers. Through their unwavering, unconditional love, they reflect the depth of God's amazing love for all His children. Scripture encourages us to honor our mothers, and it also offers them wisdom and spiritual guidance as they nurture and lead their families.
One of the most meaningful gifts we can give to a mother—whether our own, a grandmother, aunt, sister, or daughter—is to pray for her. Lifting her up in prayer is a powerful way to show love and support.
To those who are missing a beloved mother or grandmother, my heart is with you. I’ll be holding the memory of my late grandmothers close, and I pray you find comfort in remembering the love and legacy they left behind.

Movies & More... 🎬
I am sooooo excited to watch the When Hope Calls Season 2 Finale!!! I'm hoping I'll get the chance tonight via Pure Flix. And while I can't wait to see it, I truly don't want this season to end. This season 2 has been spectacular and every similar word the Webster dictionary has for incredible!!! I can't even imagine there won't be a season 3, but hoping Great American Family/Media will make an announcement (either way, but hpefully, positive) soon!
Okay... so Love In The Clouds looks like it might be a nice movie; however, I can't help from feeling the timing for this premiere seems off - due to the cast wearing heavy coats, scarves, hats, and gloves. Based on the press pics and some of the video promos, it just doesn't look like a movie that should premiere in May on Mother's Day weekend. It looks more like a Fall or Winter January movie in my opinion. It is really great, though, to see both Paul Greene and Gail O'Grady on Hallmark again! (Kinda makes me want to pull out "All I Want for Christmas" and watch it! Love that Christmas classic! And... by the way, speaking of classics, "A Christmas Detour," starring Paul Greene and Candace Cameron Bure, airs on the Hallmark Channel Friday night!!!)
As I mentioned above, The Jane Mysteries: Murder At Moseby has aired on Hallmark+ previously, and I have seen this movie. In my opinion, this murder-mystery is best suited for pre-teen age and up.
UPtv is airing the third movie in the Love Club Moms series, The Love Club Moms: Harper. While I haven't seen this movie, it does sound like a woman who is not divorced and still married in the eyes of the law (and most importantly, God), may be entertaining the idea of dating. If this is truly the case, I cannot recommend this movie.

ReplyDeleteI am beyond grateful that God blessed me with such an amazing mama. I lost her many years ago to cancer and since she went home to God, I honestly haven’t been the same. When she left, she took a piece of my heart with her. I miss being able to hug her and talk to her because she was my biggest supporter, and she gave the best advice. I am so thankful I was with her when she passed. She guided me on the right path and faith was so important to her. She knew she would touch the face of God when she died. Even at her darkest hours she never lost that faith. Such an inspiration to everyone who knew her. 😊
I raised my son with the same values my mama instilled in me, and he turned out to be successful, caring and very smart. He told me recently that we have an awesome relationship which made me realize I did my job right. 😊

I am looking forward to this weekend. My husband and I are going to a family wedding on Saturday. It will be good to celebrate instead of mourning. This year, we lost two members from the same core family we are celebrating with. So, our last two get togethers were funerals. And, of course Sunday is Mother’s Day, and my son is coming over for dinner. I don’t mind cooking. I would rather stay home and celebrate with just my son and husband. Since I have lost both my mama and mother-in-law, Mother’s Day is a mixed bag of emotions for me.
Anyway, we will watch the season finale of “When Hope Calls” for sure. I know it will be fantastic just like the rest of the season has been. I am not sure if I will watch the Hallmark movie, but I am definitely skipping the UPTV movie.
And, to reiterate what you said Net, Happy Mother’s Day to all mother’s who frequent this blog! 😊
Joan, those were sweet words you said. Your mother sounds like an inspiration! I’ll be praying for you. Take comfort in knowing that your mom is alive with Christ! More alive than any of us, but I know you must miss her terribly. I would mine. I love you dear friend and hope your day is sweet. Oh I feel sad that we're all ready at the When Hope Calls finale. It has been SO good. I admit that I got really weary with WCTH the last few seasons so I wasn't expecting much with WHC, but OH--it has been my favorite series this season. I am loving Cindy Busby even more than I imagined, the stories have been incredible. It has a depth almost more like th Waltons, which I loved. I'm so thankful it's been produced so well. Just sad that it's over. ~LR

ReplyDeleteNet, first I loved your post about mothers and how the best thing we can do is pray for them. I couldn’t agree more. I pray for my mother everyday because I need her more than ever now that I am a mother (to young children) and I am constantly seeking her advice- asking how I should explain something my 7 year old asks from school, to if the meat I cooked 3 days ago is still good 😂 Our mother was so strict growing up, but I now understand she had a lot on her plate (she was a single mother with no help) and I do not know how she raised us 4, sent us to college all on her own….I struggle some days and I only have 2 kids and my husband helps me as best he can with his demanding work schedule, it is still a balancing act. I am so thankful for all she sacrificed to give us the best life she could. And I am so thankful that I have the blessing of being a mother. I am a stay at home mom and yes my kids drive me absolutely crazy sometimes but the blessing is that I feel I really grew closer to God after becoming a mom. Through motherhood I feel I really learned the unconditional love God has for us, because that is how I love my children, unconditionally expecting nothing in return and there is nothing they could ever do to not make me love them. Happy Mother’s Day to all my friends on here! And if you are missing your mothers today or don’t have the best relationship with them, I am thinking of you and pray God brings you peace or forgiveness if that’s what is needed. After our Sunday service I told my husband I just want to order in and relax inside and watch a good movie with our kids. I want to avoid the business of restaurants on Sunday plus it will be 99 here in central CA this weekend! 🥵

DeleteDoes anyone know when The Reluctant Royal will be out on dvd? Or back on tv? I love that movie. One of my all time favorites and I accidently deleted from my dvr and it cannot be restored(I called Directv). I am devastated that I made such a horrible error. I had two different ending versions. The one of them skipping across the lawn and another after that of Johnny, Prudence and the Duke in the barn talking about Johnny's cousins. Please help Hallmark.

DeleteWhat a cliffhanger for When Hope Calls!! Just such a way for the season to end! It gave me hope that it said it was the "season" finale and not a series finale! I know after each episode I have let GAF know how much we want this series to continue! This episode had a little bit of everything and I just loved it :)
