"Timeless Tidings of Joy," Starring Candace Cameron Bure, Paul Greene, and Natasha Bure, Coming This Christmas to Great American Family

Exciting news today, everyone! Great American Media has officially announced one of Candace Cameron Bure's new Christmas movies, Timeless Tidings of Joy, which is set to premiere this upcoming 2025 Christmas season on Great American Family and Great American Pure Flix.

I am delighted that her co-star is Paul Greene, who also starred alongside Candace (as we devoted Christmas movie watchers know) in the 2015 holiday movie, A Christmas Detour! (Yes, it was 10 YEARS AGO!!!) It will be so fun to see the two of them together again. A Christmas Detour has always been one of my personal favorites of Candace's Christmas movies.

Check out all of the details for Timeless Tidings of Joy in this press release from Great American Media:

Timeless Tidings of Joy,

Paul Greene, and Natasha Bure,
premieres exclusively
on Great American Family
and Great American Pure Flix
as part of 5th Anniversary
of Great American Christmas 2025

NEW YORK, NY –April 24, 2025 – Great American Media announced today the premiere of its newest holiday original, Timeless Tidings of Joy, starring Candace Cameron Bure (A Christmas Less Traveled, My Christmas Hero), Paul Greene (Bringing Christmas Home), and Natasha Bure (A Christmas for the Ages). The film debuts on both Great American Family and Great American Pure Flix this holiday season and is another example of the company’s focus on producing quality movies that represent a fresh alternative to many movies created for the holiday season. Timeless Tiding of Joy’s emotional and heartwarming journey is reflective of Great American Christmas creating a high standard in the category with a focus on faith, family and purpose.

“‘Timeless Tidings of Joy’ transcends time with messages of love, sacrifice, and hope that are relevant to every era,” said Bill Abbott, President & CEO, Great American Media. “Candace Cameron Bure is a superb storyteller and star, and Timeless Tidings of Joy tells the story of how one special message can change lives – even decades later,” Abbott concluded.

In Timeless Tidings of Joy, Ally (Candace Cameron Bure), inherits Timeless Tidings, a shop her grandmother, Joy (Natasha Bure), opened in the 1940s to sell her handmade letter-press tidings. The shop was a labor of love, service, and sacrifice throughout the decades for Joy. Ally always saw Joy’s sacrifices for the shop as a burden on Joy’s life and happiness. When Ally returns to the shop to prepare it for sale, she meets Bennett (Paul Green), an old soul, who wants to preserve her Grandma Joy’s legacy. As Ally and Bennett navigate the next steps, divine intervention forces them both to take a new, or rather old look at the fate of the shop and themselves.

“In a world of technology, Timeless Tidings of Joy harkens back to a simpler time and the core values passed to us by our parents and grandparents. It reminds us that the best gifts we receive, are the ones we freely give away.” added Candace Cameron Bure, Chief Creative Officer, Great American Media.

  2. I love how Candace's real-life daughter becomes her grandmother in the movie as I'm sure they go back in time in some capacity.

  3. I am excited about this movie. A Christmas Detour is one of my favorite christmas movies. I figure out he was her costar. They both posted on instagram that they were filming movies and both finished filming the same day.

    1. I've included those pictures above. They are slightly cropped on the Parade website, but I've featured them above unedited. And you can click on the links to see each one bigger, if you like.

I noticed the Parade article mentions one detail incorrectly. It says, "In her latest GAF film, [Candace Cameron] Bure's 26-year-old daughter Natasha Bure is starring alongside her for the first time in a Christmas movie."

Actually, this is the second Christmas movie Candace and Natasha have filmed together. The first was the Hallmark Channel Christmas movie, "Switched for Christmas." They also worked together on the last "Aurora Teagarden" movie: "Haunted by Murder" and an episode of "Fuller House."

  6. This definitely sounds like it could be a winner! And actually, my movie choice for tomorrow is going to be A Christmas Detour, since I didn't get around to watching that one this past year.

  10. Net, I just wanted to make you aware that Peacock is dropping its live airing of the Hallmark networks plus other Hallmark content (all called The Hallmark Hub). This happens on 04/30/25. Now. the best deal in terms of cost plus having additional similar content is Frndly TV followed by.Philo. The speculation of the blogger I read was that having it on such platforms makes it harder to build its own platform, Hallmark+. I don’t think keeping the 3 live networks would have kept people from adding a Hallmark plus subscription because H plus doesn’t have live tv. I am unsure of whether it is possible, but I hope they don’t get rid of their TVE blue Hallmark app. Thank you!

    1. Yes, I have heard about that. It sounds like Hallmark is trying to get people to stream their movies through Hallmark+ instead. I do feel bad for those who view that way through Peacock.

My family and I really enjoy watching Frndly TV. I know a lot of people who come here love it as well!

I appreciate you commenting to be certain everyone knew about this.
