I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
I decided to wait a little longer before sharing this weekend's update, hoping that Hallmark would unveil a poster for the premiere of the new "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" movie. As I submit this, however, the network has not released any promotional videos, photos, or poster (key art) for this new premiere. The image above is from Good TV; I made a slight edit to include the movie title. Anyway, I still hope many of you POstables will enjoy this new movie in the series.
Once again, the new episode of "When Hope Calls" is fantastic! It was great to see Jesse Hutch join the series. Hopefully, many of you will enjoy seeing it Sunday night on Great American Family.
Please Note: I haven't pre-screened the new movies. If you'd like to share a review, please do so in comments below!
"Before I formed you in your mother's worb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart..."
"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them."
In When Hope Calls, Jesse Hutch guest-stars in season 2. His role is not explicitly detailed in the provided search results, but it's confirmed that he appears in at least one episode. He is also among the special guest stars of the season.
ReplyDeleteYes, Jesse Hutch does appear in When Hope Calls Season 2, which premiered on Great American Family on April 6, 2025. It's mentioned that he's a special guest
ReplyDeleteRhiannon Fish stars in the Hallmark series "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" as Charley. She has appeared in several movies in the series, including "Signed, Sealed, Delivered: A Tale of Three Letters" & "Signed, Sealed, Delivered: The Vows We Have Made". According to IMDb, she is also part of the cast for "Signed, Sealed, Delivered: To the Moon and Back," which premieres on April 26, 2025.
ReplyDeleteYes, Trevor Donovan does make a second appearance in When Hope Calls Season 2. He joins the cast as Constable Jim Reynolds, an experienced Mountie, and is slated to appear in two episodes. His first appearance is in episode three, when he is caring for a child who is being picked up by Michael and Nora. He then returns in a later episode, where he captures cattle rustlers
ReplyDeleteI’m so excited about the SSD! That’s what I’m watching!π
ReplyDeleteOops! Forgot to sign in my name. That was me. ;)
DeleteI saw “To the Moon and Back” on GOOD and all I gotta say is watch with a busload of tissues. Martha and the gang knock it out of the park once again. Can’t wait to watch it on Hallmark.
ReplyDeleteLONG post:
ReplyDeleteI think we all need to admit to the painful truth right now: Hallmark is done with SSD. With 0 promotion whatsoever, it's 100% clear that they want to get rid of the series as quietly as they can and pray no one outside of SM notices.
It's time we as a group and fanbase start contacting Great American Family in masse and ask them if they will consider picking the series up. They would never treat it like this or attempt to horribly hide from any kind of 'scandal'! I've already sent them a few messages to their website and have a Change dot Org petition up and running. (link is pinned to my Twitter).
We can't let this important series die like this. -Maria
Hi Maria~ I honestly don't see this series going to Great American Family. Given how both Kristin and Crystal Lowe are politically I don't see them wanting to do anything with GAF given their true Family values.
DeleteI would love to see this series go to GAF-but I just don't see those 2 actresses wanting to do it with GAF.
Sarah, I sadly agree. Kristin actually threatened to not do Vows when all the upset was happening about representation. I also fear that if SSD continues it could be tarnished because of that. With Hallmark totally ignoring its airing and they didn’t wish Eric a happy birthday last week, I’m pretty sure it’s done.
DeleteVery simple GAC can get the snow and recast it. Look at When Hope Calls they recast it and I believe it is better than the first year.
DeleteSarah, I agree. If Hallmark doesn’t continue SSD, the series is likely over for the reasons you mentioned.
DeleteI would, however, love to see Martha Williamson work with GAF on something entirely new and faith-based like SSD. That would be wonderful! :)
I disagree about recasting SSD. Eric, Kristin, Crystal and Geoff are the #POstables and no one can take their places. I would rather it end here. I would love it if Martha wrote another show for GAF. I’ve been a fan of her shows my whole life.
DeleteYes Net! I would love for Martha to come to GAF to do some sort of collaboration with them on movies or a new Series of some sort-especially a faith based one. There are so many stories that can be told that involve faith that Martha has been apart of!
DeleteI know not everyone will agree with me on this, but whatever:
ReplyDeleteI don't see the point in trying to mass contact Hallmark through SM or their viewer hotline. It hasn't convinced them to promote the movie, and when have they ever responded to mass feedback regarding SSD or anything?
They're foolishly attempting to hide from any kind of 'scandal' (while still airing movies with gays in them), and this series is clearly 'tainted' in their eyes and they don't want it anymore!
I'm sorry if that hurts to hear, but I just have to say it since no one else seems to want to! Great American Family would never treat any show or movie like this, and this series with it's values and content would be perfect over there!
I and many others don't want this series to die like this, and if we want to keep it going, it clearly needs a new home, since it's current home clearly doesn't. -Maria
Hallmark probably has received a lot emails questioning them about Eric Mabius and why is he still with Hallmark. Remember they fired Lori Loughlin immediately of course Hallmark was run differently than. I have always thought Hallmark should not show this until next year.
DeleteI didn't think there would be any mention of SSD. They're just going to air it & leave it up to the Postables to share due to the current legal situation for EM. On a separate note, Alexa Vega's new film in Canada is Road to Deception-likely for Lifetime. It also stars the young actress from WCTH who plays Allie. -Megan
ReplyDeleteMegan, Thank you for sharing this tip on Alexa PenaVega's movie. I saw the IG stories of Alexa with Jaeda Miller (Allie, "When Calls the Heart"), but I had no idea it might be a Lifetime movie.
DeleteThat is really interesting for both actresses; I didn't expect Alexa to work with another network besides Great American Family and it's also surprising that Jaeda is doing a movie outside of Hallmark.
Oops! I meant Alexa PenaVega. Not sure why I just said Vega. From what I hear, work is scarce, & thrillers have ramped up over the last year as Lifetime airs two or three per week between their main channel & LMN-some made for the network/others acquired after production for less.
DeleteI wonder if the movie remake - Road to Deception
DeleteNet, I have not seen anything about the movie being for Lifetime. A quick google search on what is filming in Canada shows that Road to Deception is filming in British Columbia and the producer of the movie is Navid Soofi who has worked a lot for Lifetime and the director is Jason Bourque who has worked a lot for Hallmark. At this point it could be anyone . Also with Jaeda Miller while she has done some movies for hallmark she is mostly known for When Calls the Heart. She could be looking to show her ability as a actress.
DeleteNet, I know that someone says Alexa PeΓ±a Vega new movie is Road to Deception but I found another possible movie. The name of the movie is If I Run it is based on a book by Christian author Terry Blackstock. This is also the first book in a series of three books.
Deleteexciting weekend watching
ReplyDeleteThere are currently 14 "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" movies. The franchise began with a television series in 2013, then transitioned to a series of TV movies. Hallmark has also ordered additional movies, with one already completed & another on the way
ReplyDeleteTo the Moon And Back aired on Sunday and is the last one that Hallmark ordered. Hopefully there will be more, but as of now they've all been aired. All of them are on Hallmark+
DeleteTo the Moon and Back review: This is by far, 1 of the best movies in the series! And that ending? Definitely a TBC.
ReplyDeleteThis is why we need to fight for this series! Hallmark or Great American Family, this series needs a home that will respect it and let it continue on. -Maria
“To the Moon and Back” is now on Hallmark +!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I was wondering about that!
DeleteHow can I find other Signed, Sealed, Delivered movies?
ReplyDeleteMovie Girl, I have a list of all of the "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" movies in chronological here:
Deletehttp://itsawonderfulmovie.blogspot.com/2015/09/chronological-order-hallmark-signed-sealed-delivered.html
(By the way, if you click on the links to the DVDs, there may also be streaming options.)
My wife and I watched Signed, Sealed, Delivered last night and were impressed by how well the movie was written and acted. If you’re tired of the same repetitive Hallmark story, then you should watch this. It’s not just about falling in love, there’s an actual story here. Excellent job all around. Robert
ReplyDeleteThis may be the wrong blog to post this under, but I was finally able to finish the last hearts around the table movie. I wish that this could become a series. But I would also want to guarantee that they didn't sneak anything in it that would ruin it, if you know what I mean. These four movies were so good!
ReplyDeleteGrace, I so agree! I know many here… Maria, Sabrina, Joan, and others have also expressed how much they’ve enjoyed these. I’ve watched 3, so far, and loved them, too!
DeleteThank you for adding your review. I can’t wait to watch the last one sometime soon! :)
I just watched To the Moon and Back on Hallmark + and I think it’s one of my favorites!!! Also Maria, yes I agree the Dead Letter Office beloved POstables would do really great over at GAF! I want to see this last for years. It’s a gem and deserves to! Send me a link to where to contact and I’ll do the same. I’ll send many if I have to.
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful WHC episode. (and did you see the screen blurbs of the 2 recently announced Christmas movies?). -Maria
ReplyDeleteA Christmas Spark & Timeless Tidings of Joy while watching WHC: Season 2 Episode 4
DeleteI wondered what all the POstables thought of the new movie. I finally watched The Tale of 3 Letters. When I didnn';t know if they were ever going to play To the Moon and Back, I told myself I will wait til they play it and I have it safely recorded to watch Tale of 3 Letters. So I watched that this weekend, and I was crying like a baby. I just cannot wait to watch To the moon and Back. I sure hope it got really good ratings even without Hallmark promoting it.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was so realistic with Shane and Oliver finally living together after they got married, and showing how that can be tough when you have lived alone for most of adult life and for someone like Oliver who is set in his ways. I LOVED the ending.
Do you know if any of the other actors in the movie tweeted or acknowledged To the moon and back? Or do they ever tweet or acknowledge it? I know Eric did. I sure hope Hallmark did not tell the others not to promote or they will not work on hallmark again. I can see them doing that. I only seemed to see Eric tweeting and interacting, he even did last night on the re-airing. I recorded it a 2nd time cause I was worried my 1st recording if it had issues. Cause I now hallmark is not going to play any of these again. Like in months or years to come.
People are not perfect, and when alcohol is involved, you do stupid things. I am sure many have done things they regret when drinking. I think Eric is one of the best actors on Hallmark, far better than some of their pet actors and actresses. Its a shame to not see any more POstables. I mean what wonderful movies, and meanings, and love.
Sabrina
Martha Williamson tweeted with Eric on Sunday. Martha, Kristin, Crystal and Eric all shared videos about it on Instagram. Kristin chimed in on her husband’s twitter once on Sunday. She doesn’t have Twitter herself anymore. Geoff has SM accounts but doesn’t use them much.
DeleteKristin and Crystal posted about it on their IG's on Saturday, that I know of. Martha Williamson and Muse Entertainment also tweeted about it. -Maria
DeleteHi Sabrina, I know that on Instagram both Kristin and Crystal were promoting it!
DeleteWhile you say people are not perfect and we all have done stupid things. I for one have never physically assaulted anyone and I am sure a lot of poster here have not either. I also want to add there is no excuse for a man to assault a women. I have not ever been arrested and I am sure most here have not been either. To make excuses because you think he is a great actor is ridiculous.
DeleteLoved SSD "To the Moon and Back" it is honestly one of their best movies yet! I'll be sad if this is honestly the last we will see of this wonderful show. I loved how Rita was shown eating all the time! lol... I was crying by the end, but just bravo to Martha for writing such an amazing series.
ReplyDeleteAlso loved When Hope Calls-I have just really enjoyed it so far, and the acting in it is just incredible. I really hope they continue this series-and of course make the seasons Longer.
Movie Review-
ReplyDeleteSigned, Sealed, Delivered: To The Moon and Back – At first, the opening scene didn’t grab me with the unknown characters, but as soon as I saw our four POstables, I felt the warm feeling of being home again!
My favorite scenes were of Oliver and his father, Joe. Oh my, those were absolutely beautiful, touching, and heartfelt moments.
I felt many similar and comfortably familiar storylines from previous “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” movies…
As soon as I saw the letters from Oliver’s biological father, I thought of all of the letters Oliver was given from his father, Joe, in “Signed, Sealed, Delivered: Truth Be Told.”
The RV brought to mind, as I’m sure it did for other SSD faithful watchers, memories of their road trip in “Signed, Sealed, Delivered: The Road Less Traveled.”
An incredibly significant moment happening in the middle of a song performance brought to mind “Signed, Sealed, Delivered: The Impossible Dream.”
At the movie's conclusion, they all head back to the DLO to reflect on everything that transpired and simply be together. That scene reminded me of the end of “Signed, Sealed, Delivered: For Christmas.”
As I continue to think on it, I’m sure other familiar moments will come to mind. What a joy it was to see our POstables again and catch up on their lives. It was also sweet to have Rhiannon Fish reprise her role as Charley in a few scenes with her adorable baby, too.
The ending was truly meaningful. That last line, “I love all of us,” still echoes in my mind and leaves me feeling all warm and fuzzy inside.
As I’ve said from the very beginning of this series, “’Signed, Sealed, Delivered’ will leave a forever stamp on your heart!” ~Net
Hey Net, when you mentioned them all going to DLO, it reminded me of when Shane and Oliver got married, they all went to DLO. They were like "do we have time" "yeah we have time". I love them all so much. Just such an amazing many movies of great, heartwarming stories. I remember, I think it was when Shane finally writes Oliver a letter with the pen, those 2 went to DLO and she read it to him. It was so sweet. And the movie ended with her reading him the letter she wrote. Its so crazy to feel so strongly for tv characters, but it just feels like we have been part of their lives for like 15 years. Thats such great writing when you can feel like you are a POstable too, you are Normans friend, or wishing every moment for Shane and Oliver to kiss, or the proposal, to finally the vows. Just so amazing. We are all forever POstables and nobody can ever take that away.
DeleteSabrina
Beautifully said Net! That final line of "I Love All of Us" took me back to "To The Altar" and I forget who said it first "I Love Us" This show just has so many beautiful moments, and call backs, and I just love how everything gets intertwined in one form or another.
DeleteSarah, it was Shane that said “I love us” both times. The first time was when Oliver responded “and I love you.”
DeleteThanks Anonymous! I couldn't remember if it was Shane or Oliver who said it first, so thank you for clarifying!
DeleteSabrina, Yeeessss!!! That's another great scene you mentioned at the end. I think there are lots of little Easter eggs in this movie that resemble those in the past!
DeleteI know just how you feel about the POstables. We know all of their little quirks and interests, such as Shakespeare, stamps, owls, technology, etc...
I sure don't want it to end here.
Sarah, Thank you for your sweet comment above regarding my "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" review!
DeleteI also enjoyed your reviews for SSD & When Hope Calls. Since you also love both shows, I just know we are kindred spirits!
It seems both shows make me teary-eyed, as well... since they are filled with so much emotion! :)
I loved the new SSD movie. It was special to see both Shane and Rita expecting. The first scene where they are telling each other was silly, but cute. We need to see more movies with both couples and their babies! Christie
ReplyDeleteChristie, I so agree! We absolutely need more of them! We have to meet their sweet babies. I'm just imagining all of the unusual names Rita would name her baby. :)
DeleteMy guess is if Rita and Norman have a boy, his middle name will be Oliver. Or maybe Billy for her father.
DeleteLast Sunday’s episode of “When Hope Calls” was stellar. It was funny, dramatic and heartfelt. The young actress who plays Jenny/Delores is such a great addition to the cast. She reminds me of a young Helen Hunt. Of course, I am showing my age by saying that, but she really does. Anyway, I wish there were more episodes.
ReplyDeleteWe also really enjoyed the SSD movie. It was simply amazing. Net, like you, my favorite scenes were of Oliver and his father, Joe. Oh my, those were beautiful, touching, and heartfelt moments. I have been such a huge fan of Gregory Harrison for years. He is such a natural actor. He can break your heart with just a look and melt your heart with his smile. I love the dynamic between Oliver and Joe with every part of my being. And I agree with you on how so many moments, in last weekend’s movie, made me think about past scenes in their other movies. I also thought the main story was engaging. It was sad that the mother and her girls had to go into hiding because of what her husband and their father did. As a mother myself, I understand why she did what she did to protect them. It was sad how her story ended but it was realistic. And, as always, I reveled in the loveliness of the relationships of Norman and Rita and Shane and Oliver. As time as passed, they have become family to me, and I am invested in their characters and their history. All of the SSD movies hold such a special place in my heart.
Joan, Love both of your reviews for When Hope Calls & SSD! I agree... the actress who plays Jenny/Delores is phenomenal, all the children are!!! They are very cute in the 5th episode airing tomorrow night.
DeleteI love knowing that the Oliver and Joe scenes in SSD touched your heart deeply, too. They do seem like family after all of these years. I certainly hope we will be able to see more one day!!! :)
When Hope Calls: Season 2 Episode 4
ReplyDeleteOver on the other side of town, Nurse Maggie (Hanneke Talbot) tries her hand at baking & her Bakewell tarts elicit the most hilarious of reactions .
"It's not baked well," says Mountie Fletcher (Christopher Russell).
"That's a crime against food," says Joe Moody (Jefferson Brown).
"They're soooo...unique," says Sam, not wanting to disappoint Maggie
Debbie, Mountie Michael, Joe, Sam, & Ronnie tastes Maggie’s Bakewell Tarts from England when her Mom made Bakewell Tarts
Ronnie told Maggie that pastries are hidden
They’re eaten Bakewell Tarts from England are hilarious when they tasted them
Hallmark has added more to the SSD To the Moon And Back page. Including photos!
ReplyDeleteI saw that! I think it's definitely a step in the right direction. I put together a post with the pictures here:
