Happy Weekend, Friends!
It's officially the last weekend of Winter, and Spring begins next week! We've been getting delightful signs of Spring all this week with bright sunshine and blue skies, cheerful birds busy building their nests, and a rise in temperatures. Oh, I really hope this beautiful weather lasts for a little while! It's been so enjoyable doing fun activities and tasks outdoors.
My weekend post is out a little sooner this week, because we have an all-new Thursday night mystery premiere, that will simulcast on both the Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Mystery! Mystery Island: Winner Takes All stars Elizabeth Henstridge (Christmas at the Plaza), Charlie Weber (Christmas Bedtime Stories), and Kristin Booth (Signed, Sealed, Delivered).
The Hallmark Channel wraps up their Royal movie presentations this Saturday with a brand new premiere that looks as sweet as a box of candy! Royal-ish is giving me vibes of Disney's A Princess Diaries, since it's about a young woman stepping into the royal world for the first time. Furthermore, the storyline also brings to mind Crown for Christmas, which also features a new governess who initially feels out of place but soon discovers her own unique approach to fitting in.
Also, see details below for the new episodes of County Rescue, When Calls the Heart, and Heartland. These new episodes, based on the promos, are filled with heartfelt moments and deep emotion.
Plus, Great American Family has a special festive movie-marathon on Sunday!
Thursday, March 13, 2025:

Storyline: Mystery Island hosts contest winners vying to solve a fake murder for a grand prize, but the event goes awry when an employee is murdered, and secrets are uncovered.
*NOTE: This mystery will have a simulcast premiere on both the Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Mystery. Encore airings will only air on Hallmark Mystery.
Reminder POstables: Look for Kristin Booth (Signed, Sealed, Delivered) in this all-new mystery!

Storyline: Lacey is an amusement park princess who befriends 8-year-old Rose, a real-life princess, and is recruited by her handsome father to travel to their kingdom and be the new governess.

Episode 1710 “Just the Beginning”
An accident puts Shane’s wedding in jeopardy; Nathan tries to make amends with Amy while helping his traumatized horse; Heartland Beef faces an uncertain future; Katie finds a new side of herself.

When Little Jack falls ill, Elizabeth and Nathan care for him together as Hickam and Mei race to secure medicine; the kids broadcast a baseball game over the radio to lift spirits.

I also included the Season 17 finale info above for all you Heartland fans. I haven't been watching for a few seasons now, but I would love to know your thoughts on how the series is going.
Please Note: I haven't pre-screened the new films premiering this weekend. If you wish to provide a review, please share your thoughts in the comments section below.
Have a fabulous weekend, everyone!

I liked the first Mystery Island movie so looking forward to this.
ReplyDeleteRoyal-ish - another single father - no thanks - florence
First always WCTH! This has been a terrific year. The stories have been so great. Wonderful job to the writers!!
ReplyDeleteI’ll give the Royal a go. Honestly, I am still in the middle of the 2nd one. It’s not holding my attention unlike the first Royal We.
And I’ll give the Mystery Island a chance. Especially now since it has Shane in it!!!
I choose County Rescue and Royal-ish. -Maria
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to watching Royal-ish. It was a fantastic book, first published by Hallmark, and now by Harpeth Road. Teri has had several books-to-film for Hallmark.
ReplyDeletedstoutholcomb, It's great to hear that you liked Teri Wilson's book! I've noticed her sharing a lot about the movie on social media lately. It seems like such a charming, sweet film.
DeleteThank you for sharing! :)
WCTH: S12 E11 is gonna be tearjerker
ReplyDeleteGrab your tissues
Oh, I have a feeling it’s gonna be a great one! I’ll have my tissues ready!
DeleteGet ready to grab your tissues tomorrow night WCTH: S12 E11
DeleteIt’s an emotional episode to make the viewers cry🤧😢😭🥲
That was the best WCTH ep. I have ever seen!!
DeleteMystery Island: Winner Takes All Review….
ReplyDeleteI thought it had a good plot, although I knew who the killer was gonna be in the very beginning, but I think the cast is VERY weak. The two main characters are kind to each other and friends and I always appreciate seeing that instead of them not sharing information, but being a team. It was also family friendly.
Abigail, Thank you for sharing this review for "Mystery Island: Winner Takes All." It's always nice to hear when a movie is family-friendly!
DeleteAlso, great job on picking whodunit early on. You are an excellent Sleuther! 🔎🔎
Christmas movies and County Rescue on GAF for me.
ReplyDeleteRoyal-ish is safe and an adorable end to another wonderful trilogy! -Maria
ReplyDeleteGet ready tonight WCTH: S12 E11 - Having Faith is gonna be tearjerker. It’s an emotional episode. If you cry, I cry…
ReplyDeleteDon’t forget to bring out your tissue box to grab your tissues!!! 🤧😭🥲😢
County Rescue: S2 E 4
ReplyDeleteDo not anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer & petition, with Thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts & your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7
WCTH: S12 E11 - Having Faith is a such beautiful episode to make the viewers cry…. It’s tearjerker - it’s an emotional episode. This episode is deserves awards. Jake feels better for now!!!
ReplyDeleteI mean JJ feels better for now
DeleteThis was the most wonderful episode of WCTH that I have ever seen!! Erin and Kevin did such a good job with the acting. You could really feel the characters emotions. Same with Rosemary, Faith and Bill. I also just love seeing the townspeople support each other. And the ball game on the radio was one of the sweetest scenes. Lee was so into it!😊 The Allie/Oliver scene was precious too!! I would love to live in a town where they all care for one another.
ReplyDeleteOkay I was finally able to watch Mystery Island. I will say the first one of this series was kind of confusing for me, and this one was the same. I think it is the whole “mystery within a mystery” concept of the film. I loved seeing Kristin Booth play a different character than her SSD one. I think this is the only thing I have seen her in besides SSD…. Anyway, I enjoyed it as a one time watch.

Oops! I forgot to sign in my name. That was me. Sorry it’s not a clickable link. I’m not sure how to do that. But here’s hoping for a season 13. That sounds soooo great!!
DeleteAbigail, thank you so much for sharing! Will you be staying up to watch? I am! Hope we hear good news! :)
DeleteIt does seem somewhat different, though, that whatever the news is... is coming from the producers, Brian Bird and Michael Landon, Jr.
Erin Krakow has always been the one to share the season renewal news in the past. I'm feeling cautiously optimistic and uncertain at the same time.
By the way, I linked the after show in my weekend post:
https://itsawonderfulmovie.blogspot.com/2025/03/spring-is-here-open-your-heart-to-new-beginnings-hallmark-channel-great-american-family.html
Thanks for always fixing my unclickable links! I’m not sure how to do those. ;) And I probably will, I’m anxious for S13 news, but I am on Central Time. So I guess it would start at midnight for me. We’ll see, Sundays are always long with the am and pm service and we are hosting a family this Lord’s day. I’ll try to stay up. 😀
DeleteRoyal-ish review….
ReplyDeleteSweet and adorable is the way to describe this one. Family friendly and full of smiles. It was a little bit too cutesy for me, but I thought she played her part well for children.
My Royal-ish review....
ReplyDeleteI agree with Abigail - I know no surprise here :-) The movie was sweet and adorable but also too cutesy for me as well. The lead actress was enchanting and did a good job. But, it was definitely a one-time watch for me.
I still haven't watched "Mystery Island" yet.
I did watch WCTH and it was so good! My husband cried more than I did but he always cries more than me! That is one reason I love him because he is not afraid to show emotion. :-) Last week's episode was sublime and emotional and just all around fabulous. I can't imagine living in a time when diabetes was a death sentence. I do like how WCTH remains authentic to the time period.
Joan, we are so alike in our movie tastes!! One day we’ll have to watch one together and laugh and cry and talk to the tv. ;)
DeleteAbigail,
DeleteYes, we are for sure! :-) I would love to watch a movie together and laugh and cry and of course talk to the tv! :-)
I watched Royal-ish last night (after the Illinois basketball game - yay, Illinois! Onto round 2!) because I was intrigued by the plot. I agree with Abigail and Joan - it was a cute movie - nothing spectacular - okay for a one-time watch. But I am not sure that Nichole Sakura was the ideal choice for the female lead. While she is very good when playing the park princess, she seems to lack the...what, finesse? class? aura?...of being a real-life match for the prince. During the movie I kept thinking that someone like Merritt Patterson or Aimee Teegarden would have been better suited for the role.
ReplyDeleteMark 25, Hey, I watched some of that game... it was a good one. Congrats to your team!
DeleteAnd, almost close... I watched Andrew Walker's "The Reluctant Royal" afterwards. :)
I have to say her sweetness of character is what the Disney Snow White 2025 is extremely lacking.
