Happy First Weekend of Spring, Everyone!
As the temperatures rise, I can sense everyone's excitement to get outside and enjoy a variety of fun outdoor activities! The arrival of Spring is always a special time for fresh adventures and new beginnings! And I'm sooo ready for ALL of it!
Speaking of new, we have the first Spring movie premiere this weekend on the Hallmark Channel! I'm loving the name and look of the new Spring into Love movie collection, which are separate love stories but collectively titled: "Hearts Around the Table"! I'm hoping this will be a lovely series that includes four films with stars well known on Hallmark. (more details below!)

In addition to the new movie this Saturday, we also have lots of wonderful classic Christmas movies on TV Friday night, including "Operation Nutcracker" and "Small Town Christmas" airing on the Hallmark Channel and "A Hot Cocoa Christmas," "Christmas Under the Northern Lights," and "Royally Wrapped for Christmas" airing on Great American Family! You can always check out the Christmas Movie Schedule to see which holiday movies are being aired all throughout the year.
Out of curiousity, have any of you filled out your Great American Family Jingle Bell Bracket? I did mine last weekend. Some match-ups were easy to choose between, while others took me a minute or two to decide. I was rather surprised that not all of the 2024 Christmas movies were on there, but I guess they wanted to cover more movies over various years. It should be interesting to see which Christmas movie ultimately wins.
Speaking of brackets, I'm sure many of you will also enjoy the March Madness basketball games this weekend. Did you fill out a bracket? I did, but I'm not super knowledgeable about all the teams, so mine is already off a little, but I'm still hanging in there on some picks. We'll see. It's just fun to choose a team and play along with the bracket challenge. My family and I will probably watch a few games here and there over the weekend.
However, the TV is mine when it comes time for "When Calls the Heart" on Sunday night! (Just kidding!) The finale for season 12 is an absolute must-see in our home. Everyone loves it! Will there be a cliffhanger or an engagement? Will any of the characters discuss the possibility of leaving Hope Valley? And the biggest question of all... will there be a season 13? There's an after-show online for "When Calls the Heart" after the finale episode that will hopefully reveal the answer Hearties most want to hear! (more details on when & where to watch below!)
The newest episode of "County Rescue" on Great American Family promises to be an exciting one, packed with genuine emotion once again. (Only 2 episodes left for this season!)

Great to see Steve Lund back again.
ReplyDeleteWe don't see him often enough - Florence
Hearts around the Table and County Rescue for me this weekend. -Maria
ReplyDeleteThis is going to be fun weekend! Can't wait to watch the new Hallmark movie. I also can't wait to watch the Season finale of WCTH but I am also a bit sad knowing this fantastic season is almost over! I feel really good about a Season 13. :-)
ReplyDeleteSure hate for season 12 to be over.
ReplyDeletewhy does the after show have to be so late? 1 a .m. for me.
looking forward to this weekend's movies/shows
ReplyDeleteI am going to give Hearts Around the Table - Jenna's First Love a watch, since I like both of the actors. However, I am going to pass on doing the Jingle Bell Bracket - I was disappointed in GAF last year for never showing the complete bracket results. From what I recall, all they did was tell us - waaaaay after March Madness - what the top four movies were.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, time for the real March Madness. Go Illinois (my alma mater)!!
Mark 25, Yeah, I remember the JB Bracket results were really delayed last year and to be honest, some of the movies that move on are usually questionable, but I still gave it a shot (no pun intended), but my bracket will probably end up as bad as my March Madness bracket today.
DeleteI agree with you Florence, excited to see Steve Lund this weekend!

Florence and Paula, 100% agree! It is wonderful to see Steve Lund again. He's such a great actor. Love him especially in Unlocking Christmas! :)
DeleteNet, that is one that I have saved on my DVR that I have not ever watched! Saving it for a rainy day….I first watched him in Christmas Incorporated and then Secret Millionaire on UpTv.

Hey Net, I had the same thought on the Jingle Bell Bracket. No Christmas Wreaths and Ribbons, Get Him Back for Christmas, Home Sweet Christmas & others. The missing Candace movie surprised me the most.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I’m watching WCTH Sunday night. It’s hard to believe we’re at the finale point. I feel kind of sad about it, but hopefully the after show will give us good news, if I can stay awake to see it.
Allie B, Yeah, that really surprised me, too, that Home Sweet Christmas was missing, especially since they are planning a sequel. Even though it wasn't my favorite, I was surprised it wasn't included.
DeleteEnjoy the WCTH finale - hope we hear good news in the after show!!! :)
Friends, please be in prayer...
ReplyDeleteBrennan Elliott (All of My Heart, The Gift of Peace) has shared some heartbreaking news on his Instagram page. His wife, Camilla (Cami) Row, lost her battle with cancer early this morning. The couple share two children.
This is Brennan's statement:
"There is no easy way to say this but I know my wife @camilla_row would have wanted me to thank every person from all over the world who prayed for her overthe last 8 years she suffered immeasurably trying to survive and live with #stage4gastriccancer.It is with a soul crushing devastated heart that my beloved wife #cami passed away at 5:28 this morning. Our babies and I lost our rock, a person who not only was the love of my life,my soulmate,my best friend and lover but the toughest strongest fearless person I have ever met in my life and the greatest mother to her babies. The pain she endured only I might know but assure all who loved her she is in peace with no more pain. You are with the lord now my queen!🙏🙏. You are free! Heaven is a far better place with you in it my love. THANKYOU for being the best wife, mother and friend I’ve ever known. What you did for the #gastriccancer community was immeasurable, but what you did for me as a man will last forever. For any of you who met or knew her your life was blessed because of her presence. I love and am in love and will always be in love with you my baby! I know u r dancing and are on vacation in heaven and free from the grips of cancer. When the lord calls me and it’s my time I will c u in heaven and we will start dancing again.!!🙏🙏 I will always be your hot mess!😂 missing you on this plane forever but will c u soon! THANKYOU Cami for being YOU!"
It was truly touching to hear Brennan speak of the Lord amidst such heartbreaking news, expressing hope for a future reunion with his wife in heaven.

Please keep Brennan and his young children in your prayers.
Oh no. :((( -Maria
DeleteYou can tell he is a man of deep, deep faith and who truly loved his wife to no ends! Heartfelt prayers going out to Brennan and his children!
ReplyDeleteJenna's First Love is so wonderful! (and it's co produced by Brain Power Studio, UP TV has aired many of their movies!). -Maria
ReplyDeleteOh no! Every time I see one of his movies I pray for her. I am so very sorry for him and his children. My heart breaks for him and I’m praying for him now. What sweet words he wrote, I appreciate that he mentioned the Lord. I pray he and his children will draw closer to Him during this trial. Some of my best days have been in those pitfall agonizing trials, when Christ is all you have to lean on. And He will lift you. It’s His promise.
ReplyDeleteOh Net this made me tear up, I can’t even imagine what Brennan is going through. I feel this is a fear we all have, losing our spouse far too soon and especially having young children. I know he can find comfort in knowing she is free of pain in heaven with our Heavenly Father but his heart is missing her and I can’t even imagine. Praying he finds strength and is able to be strong for his children.

Oh this one hurts to the core. I cried reading his post to my husband and he did as well. I have lost many family members, to cancer, including my dear sweet mama. It is a pain that is unbearable. I am comforted to hear how he mentioned God in his post. We all want our loved ones to return home to God. I think it is so sweet he talked of meeting her again in heaven and dancing. What a blessing it is to know God and to surrender to him when they are crushed by this loss. I will pray for them as they navigate life without her. :-(

“Can’t wait to watch. The series is great and I hope it gets renewed over & over again.”
I am so sorry for Brennan and his family. This just breaks my heart.
ReplyDeleteI did watch Hearts Around the Table--Jenna's First love--It was pretty good. I like Mishael Morgan so I wanted to give this series of movies a try. I can't wait to see her movie next week. I love how the family always gets together for Sunday dinners and how close they all seem to be. I am looking forward to learning more about the others. You only get a glimpse of them all in Jenna's story. I think you see Shari more, so will be interested in Kiki and Josh too. Love seeing Mondy Cohn too.

So sad to hear that Brennan's wife passed. She fought a long hard battle! It was so good to read his comments about the Lord and knowing she's in heaven and one day he will join her.
ReplyDeleteOn another note, Net, I was looking ahead on Hallmark's schedule and saw they are airing Love on the Air in April. I forget the exact date, but they haven't shown that movie in years! It's my all time favorite Rom Com. It was actually how I found your wonderful blog. I was reading reviews on the movie and your review popped up. Been following you ever since!
