GAC Family announced today (Tuesday, April 12, 2022) on social media - that their Christmas Movies will begin for the 2022 Holiday Season 200 days from now on Saturday, October 29, 2022! This is wonderful, exciting news!
If you're curious how this compares to Christmas 2021, last year GAC Family began their Christmas movie season on October 30th. (Their preview special aired even earlier on October 16th, hosted by Debbie Matenopoulos & Cameron Mathison ("Home & Family")!)
Since GAC Family is beginning their Christmas season around the same time, it makes one wonder if they are planning to create the same number of Christmas movies again this year. In 2021, GAC Family had 12 new Christmas films, plus the "When Hope Calls: Christmas" special.
Thus far, GAC Family has officially announced one new Christmas movie for the 2022 Christmas season titled: "Catering Christmas" starring Merritt Patterson ("Jingle Bell Princess") and Daniel Lissing ("A Christmas Star"). See details - here.

Where do the new GACF movies announced earlier for now stand. Thought there was at least 2 new ones announced earlier and then no further word.
ReplyDeleteJoCo, I inquired about those movies in early March and I was told they have both been moved to a later date, which has not been announced, yet.
DeleteUnfortunately, I haven't heard any further news, but I'll be sure to let you know if/when I do!

Yay! So excited. -Maria
ReplyDeleteWe didn't have access to GAC last holiday season but have now subscribed to Frndly TV and was able to watch an encore presentation of Jingle Bell Princess....we were impressed. Brought back memories of the heyday of Hallmark. Some of Hallmark movies of the last couple of years have almost become unwatchable. If we see anything lgbtq etc. we change the channel. It's hilarious how everyone is bowing to such a small group of the population. It's okay though, we'll just turn the channel or watch an older movie on the dvr or a DVD. More power to Bill Abbott and GAC. If he handles things correctly GAC will take a big chunk from hallmark. I think most people on here feel the same way. And thank you Net for all you do for us Anda Blessed Easter to all.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this heartfelt message! I'm so glad you were able to enjoy at least one of the GAC Family movies finally through Frndly TV! I'm hoping they will replay all of last years movies this Christmas again.
DeleteYou can also see these movies through streaming sources. If you're interested, I have details here:

Hallmark and Disney may be competing to see who can be the most Woke. Glad GACF is giving us a better alternative
DeleteJim, thank you for sharing this streaming info again for Lifetime. There was a movie that I had deleted and then, of course, I wanted to watch it again, but couldn't. So, I'm definitely going to look into this! Appreciate you re-sharing this info with us! :)
DeleteHoping they will have a lot of wonderful movies.

We've barely finished watching last Christmas season's output.
ReplyDeleteit's got to the stage where a surfeit of Christmas movies is starting to kill the excitment which the Christmas season always used to generate.
Do we really need all this as early (and earlier) than Easter?
I'm not blaming one channel in particular but Lifetime, Hallmark and GAC seem to be starting something of a one-upmanship situation with regard to this.
Surely September would be more than early enough - how dfo others feel about this? - Florence
Florence, I hear ya! The overwhelming number of movies makes me feel the same way. It used to be rare and special to have a new Christmas movie. Sometimes, I find the sheer volume to be exhausting, especially now with more and more networks and streaming sources copying Hallmark's rom-com formula.
DeleteHappy to see Matchmaker Mysteries DVD is available. I will definitely be ordering this. I don't see a picture of this on your site.
ReplyDeleteMay God bless GAC! Counting down the days to not only new Christmas movies but also new movies in general on GAC.
