Saturday, January 1, 2022:

Jodie Carpenter is the owner of ‘The Loft’, her family’s sail-making company located near quaint Redmond’s Bay Marina. When luxury developer Charles Prescott purchases the port looking to carry out a lavish expansion, Jodie fears that her business and heritage will be torn down and replaced. Joining forces with her friends and some of the town locals, Jodie fights to save the marina, all while vowing to launch a boat she and her father were refurbishing together before his untimely death. Meeting Will Calvin - the architect who developed the plans for the new marina – Jodie spends her time teaching him about the community and hopes he can harmonize his plans with local culture and traditions to ensure the sustainability of already established businesses. While clashing at first, it is not long before Jodie and Will discover their time together has steered into a friendship that ultimately sets sail for romance.

We are expecting some light snow (finally!) this weekend, so it should be fun to watch the last of the Christmas movies 24/7 with the snow falling down. Oh, how I will miss the Christmas movies night and day next week. Guess this will give me a good chance to catch up on all the movies I recorded.

In addition to the Christmas Schedule, you can also check out the New TV Movie Schedule, which is filled with movies premiering in January and February!

My focus here in 2022 will continue to be sharing news on family friendly TV entertainment. I'm so grateful for every one of you who visits here and shares reviews. Thank you for being a special part of this It's a Wonderful Movie family.

As we transition into the new year - may we all have joy, know His peace, and experience the fullness of God's love!

πŸŽ‰ *HAPPY NEW YEAR!* πŸŽ‰

God's blessings to you all! Net

  4. I'm looking forward to Where Your Heart Belongs..to Jesus Christ!(I just had to add.) As some of you may already know, I just adore Jen Lilley. I love that she always plays a sweet and thoughtful character and has some spunk as well.

I just found this website, saying that a new Mystery 101, movie 8# is scheduled for February 22, 2022. Don't know if it is correct, but here is the link if you want to check it out. I hope it is! Happy New Year my special friends!πŸŽ‰ Enjoy the snow Net!!❤

    1. Abigail, I adore Jen Lilley, too! I think it's because we know her spirit deep down and we're drawn to that.

Also, thank you for the Mystery 101 link. It sounds really interesting. The writer, unfortunately, doesn't have any official news, yet, from Hallmark, but I sure hope he's right, and we'll see another new one sometime in the Fall. They can't possibly leave us with that scene in the rain and THAT CLIFFHANGER!!!

Blessings & a very HAPPY New Year to You!!! :)

  5. Are any Hallmark Channel's New Year New Movies for 2022 takes place in the winter?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Chris, Great question! The only new movie that looks wintery to me on the Hallmark Channel is "The Perfect Pairing".

"North to Home" (Hallmark Movies & Mysteries) also has snow and they are wearing coats.

However, if you want a movie with a real wintery feel, you should probably watch "The Winter Palace" on January 8th on GAC Family!

  6. Happy New Year to all and thanks Net for bringing us all together here. I didn't review much over Christmas but I'll try to share some soon.

  7. The blurb for Where The Heart Belongs doesn't give much indication of what it might be about nor the dynamics between the characters.

I like both Jen and Christopher so here's hoping that this can start off 2022 with a bang.

2021 was a very mixed year for Hallmark - Florence

Happy New Year everyone! Praying for a better year in 2022, but Net, you made 2021 much better for us. Thank you and blessings abundantly to you and your family. I am excited to see what is ahead.

    1. Yes, it was very sad to hear of Betty White's passing. She was great in the two Hallmark movies you mentioned and so close to reaching her 100th birthday. My heart goes out to her family and friends.

    2. Yep, Betty White’s Hallmark Hall of Fame movie: The Lost Valentine was aired on January 2, 2022 instead of Taking a Shot at Love will gonna air on January 17, 2022.

Betty White’s 100th Birthday will be airing on TV on her Birthday on January 17, 2022. Her Hallmark Hall of Fame movies were aired on CBS about years ago. She seemed so exciting when she will celebrate 100th Birthday milestone will be on TV. Her Acency & friend said He thought Betty White gonna live forever but she passed away at age 99 of nature cause.

I watched her movies: The Proposal, TV Series: The Golden Girls, & Hallmark Hall of Fame movies: Annie’s Point & The Lost Valentine, she was on Game Shows like Hollywood Square, Password, Match Game, etc....

  13. Hey Net, I hope there will be a article up where we can leave reviews of the new January movies, but if not. I'll just leave my review of Hallmark's 'Where Your Heart Belongs' down below:

'I figured that since this was 1 of Jen's movies, that I'd just record and watch before reading any spoilers, plus it was the 1st new movie of the year, figured it'd be safe.

The movie starts off great, but then a couple of minutes in, right next to the sign above the place where Mac and her friend are eating, I saw what looked to be the rainbow flag. Yes, the flag that promotes the community that doesn't support Christian Values! It was just for a few seconds, but I swear I saw it!

After that, I got so distracted, and a bit disgusted, that I just turned off the movie 10 or 13 minutes in. So, as for if that was the only woke thing in the movie, I don't know. Though, I think another 1 of Mac's friends was sounding a bit gay like. Or it was just my paranoia.

Sigh. Just goes to show that even if the movie has a familiar star and looks cute from the previews, depending on what network it airs on, it doesn't 100% mean that it'll be completely woke free. Something that was proven a bit too many times over the holiday season with Hallmark, unfortunately.

Here's hoping The Wedding Veil trilogy avoids this garbage.' -Maria

    1. Maria, I totally understand how you feel when watching these new movies these days. I feel like there are hidden details in a lot of them. I'm also on edge when watching, always wondering what might be shown next. And it's not just the movie, itself. Lately, these online dating commercials are very woke.

Thank you for sharing with us. I posted your review on the *New Year New Movies* page here:

  14. When I see movies in January I will expect to see snow and ice. I hope that North to Home has snow and ice in the movie.

  15. Thanks for the info, Maria! I see that HM has this tendency--to draw you into what seems like a family friendly movie, then, very subtly, they shove something wokw right in our faces. I'm glad I did not watch this, and hopefully my cable company will soon pick up GAC family!

    1. JoCo, Others had the same issue with the movie cutting off before the end. I would've missed it, too, but I was watching it live. Now I always record their movies for 2 full hours, just in case.

  18. Oh me, oh my.

You should go to IMDB and read the reviews for Where Your Heart Belongs.

The movie is panned - possibly the worst ever reviews for hallmark - Florence

    Replies
    1. Florence, Oh dear. Those are terrible reviews.

I clicked on some of the reviewers names and their thoughts on other movies don't gel with mine; so hopefully, they just aren't into the same types of movies. I sure hope that's it.

There are lots of negative reviews, though. Goodness, did anyone there like it???

    2. Thanks for the IMBD tip. I have written a few reviews myself, and read the reviews for this movie and the reviewers vehemently disliked this movie. There was not one good review. I did not watch it (I am not a huge Jen Lilley fan), so I can't review it, but based on what I have read, I will skip this one. I have high hopes for the Wedding Veil trilogy, but I will watch with great trepidation, which makes me very sad. Danica's movie looks wonderful, though!

    3. Net, do you think these people are mad at Jen Lilley for going with GAC? There are some people who are so negative I am surprised they can enjoy anything. A friend I've had for many, many years, who was so much fun to be with, has become such a downer! She dissects every movie using a magnifying glass(so to speak) and points out every mistake she can find. My viewing is to escape and relax. Surprised to see negative reviews on this movie.
