πŸŽ„ Hallmark's Countdown to Christmas & Miracles of Christmas 2020 πŸŽ„

images: Hallmark Crown Media

The Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries are getting ready to spread Christmas Cheer - beginning October 23rd. Through EW - Hallmark just announced nearly all of their 40 New Christmas movies coming in 2020.

I am personally excited about many of these NEW PAIRINGS

"If I Only Had Christmas" will star one of my favorites, Candace Cameron Bure ("Christmas Town"), along with Warren Christie, who I just love in the Hallmark classic, "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year." I can't wait to see these two together! Candace has shared that her new holiday film will have a 'Wizard of Oz' theme, so I'm looking forward to seeing how that story is mixed into this new Christmas movie! Will there be ruby slippers, a yellow brick road, and (please no!) scary flying monkeys??? All I can say is... "There's no place like home... there's no place like home..."

Another pairing I was excited to see, was Jill Wagner and Lucas Bryant, who I just love and will be starring together in "The Angel Tree!" Doesn't that sound so sweet? Plus, Brooke D’Orsay and Sam Page sound ideal together for "A Godwink Christmas: First Loves, Second Chances" and it's no secret that Jen Lilley and Trevor Donovan will be starring together in USS Christmas, but I still love hearing more and more about this Patriotic movie that honors our military!

I was also thrilled to officially see these actors who have previously worked together - are doing so again...

A Bright and Merry Christmas
Starring: Alison Sweeney and Marc Blucas
(Who previously starred together in "The Irresistible Blueberry Farm")

Christmas Waltz
Starring: Lacey Chabert, Will Kemp
(Who previously starred together in "Love, Romance, and Chocolate")

A Glenbrooke Christmas
Starring: Autumn Reeser and Antonio Cupo
(Who previously starred together in "Love at the Thanksgiving Day Parade" and "I Do, I Do, I Do")

Now, please know and beware... there are a couple movies I won't be promoting due to my own personal faith and beliefs, because these movies include same sex couples. Those movies are "The Christmas House" and "A Christmas Tree Grows in Brooklyn." There may be others, but I am currently only aware of these two. It saddens me to see the direction Hallmark is taking, leaving behind those of us of faith. They want to be diverse and include everyone, well, this does not include me and my family. I am very disappointed in Hallmark over this issue, and I know other viewers feel the same. We will have to be very careful on what we choose to watch this year.

Lacey Chabert ("Christmas in Rome") will not only be starring in the movie, "Christmas Waltz" on the Hallmark Channel, but she will also have a starring role in a new Christmas movie on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, in "Time for Us to Come Home for Christmas." Her co-star is Stephen Huszar of "A Home for the Holidays."

In the new Christmas movie, "A Nashville Christmas Carol," starring Jessy Schram and Wes Brown, we will find many great Country Music stars: Wynonna Judd, Sara Evans, RaeLynn, Kix Brooks and actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley ("The Christmas Train") also stars!

Now... there are a few movies left to fill, so we don't know quite, yet, every movie. I didn't see Kathie Lee Gifford's name with "A Godwink Christmas;" which leaves me wondering if she will be in this third installment? Other Hallmark regulars I don't see mentioned, yet, are: Kristoffer Polaha, Cindy Busby, Jodie Sweetin, Kevin McGarry, Jesse Metcalfe, Chad Michael Murray, Brittany Bristow, Ashley Newbrough, Kellie Martin, and many more! Stay tuned for future updates.

Candace Cameron Bure will host the 2020 Countdown to Christmas Preview Special on the Hallmark Channel, Saturday, October 17, 2020 and Jen Lilley & Trevor Donovan will host Hallmark Movies & Mysteries' 2020 Miracles of Christmas Preview Special on Sunday, October 18, 2020.

  1. I am so disappointed in the direction hallmark is going. Part of problem I will have is that we will be watching these other movies, but we will still see the promotions for the less than ideal others. Unfortunately we won't be able to escape from it totally. This is the new world we are living in!

    1. I never watch the movies live so I don't evere have to deal with the promos.

      Delete
    2. Sarah, That is so true. Promos will be unavoidable while we are viewing something else live. If we want to watch something new or even a classic, we know we can trust, those commercials will be unpredictable.

I guess if we want to watch, I'm with Anon, recording and fast-forwarding commercials is the best option.

      Delete
    3. That is all very true. I am usually too busy to watch the movie live, so I always rely on my DVR!

  2. I was excited, but now I am not. Plus, nothing for Danica? Why TWO movies for one actress? I don't think that is fair. Well, I planned to just buy the movies. Thanks for always keeping us updated.

    1. I noticed that Danica does have a movie. I will be making a list. Waiting for more information here and possibly buy the movie, if available. Thanks, Net!

    2. Misty, Yeah, I'm hoping they'll have some early 2020 DVD Christmas releases. I do know Walmart will be doing exclusives again this year. Eventually!

I thought Danica's movie, "Christmas She Wrote," sounded a bit like a play on "Murder She Wrote," and might be a mystery, but from the story-line they provided, it sounds more like a typical rom-com about a former journalist.

Glad you enjoyed the list! :)

  3. Will A NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION be only 2019 shelved movie not to get seen in 2020?

Starring Aimee Teegarden & Michael Rady

    1. I know, I can't figure this out! Aimee was in one of the most popular Hallmark Christmas movies in 2018, so you would think they would want to show this one. I was so bummed when they canceled it last year, and I am bummed that it does not look like they are going to show it this year!

      Delete
    2. Anon & Mark25, I'm still hoping they'll play this movie around New Year's or even during Winterfest. You never know with Hallmark... it could even pop up around V-day! haha!

  4. I am absolutely stunned and unhappy that Hallmark is showing at lesast 2 movies with same sex couples - never thought it would come to this.

On a brighter note some great pairings there the highlight of which for me is Jill Wagner and Lucas Bryant - on paper anyway that's my #1 Christmas movie this year! I am already excited about this.

Don' really know what to make of Alison Sweeney and Marc Blucas pairing up again - The Irresistable Blueberry Farm was just perfect, I don't know that I can see them as anyone else.

    1. I'm right there with ya. Hallmark is pretty much no different than Lifetime at this point. We've lost something very special this year and I don't think there's a perfectly safe option to replace them.

I do think there will still be some good movies, but it feels different to watch their channel now. It sounds like we are both curious about & looking forward to the same pairings, but I agree... I will still be thinking of Alison Sweeney and Marc Blucas in "The Irresistable Blueberry Farm!" :)

  5. I'm with you Net! So disappointed in Hallmark for the course they are taking. Christians today are becoming the minority. They don't want to offend anyone, but they don't mind offending Christians. And the news article I was reading sounds like they are bragging about having a movie about Hanukkah but they never show Double Holiday which as we know is about Hanukkah. I am excited about some of the movies listed but all the other issues are taking away form the joy of seeing the new movies this year. I also noticed some big names missing...I hope they will be cast in the remaining movies to air. Especially Kris Polaha, Cindy Busby and Jesse Metcalfe. I am very excited about Alison Sweeney and Marc Blucas reuniting! Awesome! Thanks for all of your hard work Net!

    1. Jesse Metcalf is doing Dancing with the Stars. I'm sure he won't have time to do a Christmas movie. However, he recently finished filming another Martha's Vineyard Mystery.

    2. Joyce, I know our hearts feel the same way on all of this. It is hard - I'm so glad I have so many wonderful friends and followers here who share the same morals and standards.

Let's not let Hallmark steal or take away from our Christmas joy, because we know the true JOY of Christmas - Jesus!

We will be here for one another through all of this and let's hope they give our Kristoffer Polaha a movie, right? I mean, we already got Marc Blucas, Brennan Elliott and Andrew Walker... we've gotta have Kris, too! :)

      Bless you, my dear friend!

      Delete
    3. Wendie, Yeah... I figured Jesse Metcalfe was probably pretty busy with that, week after week, but I just had to mention his name. I'm really going to miss seeing him in a Christmas movie this year. His movies are always so good.

      Delete
    4. Yes Net! We must have Kris too! I've been reading articles about him writing romance novels and producing a movie as well. So I wonder if he might not be available for a Christmas movie. Would be the first year since 2016 w/o a Christmas movie from him.

  6. Its getting close now, almost there. I am excited about some of the pairings as well. SO HAPPY to see Autumn Reeser back with Antonio Cupo. Saw Mark Deklin and Catherine Bell, I know there is an age gap there, but maybe it will be good. Happy to have the movie with katrina Law too. Excited for BJL and Victor Webster. Happy to have Brendan Penny too.

I guess its good there are already 2 movies I can check off the NOT WATCHING list already. Its unfortunate Hallmark feels they have to be like Lifetime, hopefully their ratings are lower than Lifetime this year. I guess we will see.

And lets see how many times this schedule changes. Do we know if any of these are HHOF movies?

    1. Sabrina, I thought we would learn which movie was given the Hallmark Hall of Fame honor, too... but no, to my knowledge, it has yet to be revealed.

My original guess was "Christmas in Vienna," but now I'm wondering if it might be "Christmas Waltz."

Based on timing, the Hallmark Hall of Fame movies traditionally air, either the Saturday of Thanksgiving week or the Saturday right after. Based on that theory, it would have to be "Christmas Waltz" or "Christmas in Evergreen: Bells are Ringing." Since it's the 4th movie in that series, I don't think it would make sense to choose "Evergreen," but who knows?

      Delete
    2. I just hope The Christmas House is NOT the Hall of Fame movie.

      Delete
    3. I hope it’s Candace Cameron Bure’s Christmas movie “If I Only Had Christmas”, is HHoF - that inspired to the tribute of “The Wizard of Oz“

It’s living in fairytales like Disney Characters or literary characters like Cinderella, Jack & the Beanstalk, Snow White, Snow Queen, Prince Charming, etc...

Disney & literary Characters are part of Hallmark since the movies are HHoF & Hallmark Entertainment

    4. Sabrina, Me, too.... I hadn't even thought of that. I wouldn't be surprised, though.

    5. Catherine Bell & Mark Delkin are same age of 1 year apart

      Mark is older than Catherine
      Catherine s younger than Mark

      Catherine (1968)
      Mark (1967)

      Delete
  7. Thanks for this list, Net - I thought it was too much to hope for this morning!

I really hope there's not as much date changing as there has been the past couple of years.

These are the movies which have caught my eye and am really looking forward to.

Of course as in previous years some will probably be slightly disappointing while I will love some of those which don't look so appealing!

A Bright & Merry Christmas - Alison Sweeney & Marc Blucas
A Nashville Christmas Carol - the music might be good here
Time For Us To Come Home For Christmas - Lacey Chabert & Stephen Huszar
USS Cristmas - Jen Lilley & Trevor Donovan
The Angel Tree - Jill Wagner & Lucas Bryant
and very interesting as it's not often they would pair a couple three times if it wasn't a series
Christmas By Starlight - Kimberley Sustad & Paul Campbell

And it's fun trying to guess who will be starring in those few movies which have yet to be revealed.

One thing it doesn't look as if I will be watching Hallmark around the 21-24 November.

    1. I will only watch Hallmark 24/7 if they have movies on Hallmark Drama. That is what saved me last year and kept me watching hallmark. I have adjusted well to currently not watching hallmark 24/7 to almost not at all. Our Tampa Bay Rays won our division last night in baseball, and HGTV has had some good shows to watch. Love the Baumlers and I have watched a lot of the Smithsonian channel.

I am sure they will play the previews of their same sex movies so many times, I had to stop watching hallmark before wedding every weekend cause of all the commercials on all 3 hallmark channels.

Oh, I wanted to comment on my above comment about the what I said age gap with Mark Deklin and Catherine Bell, it turns out they are the same age. I thought Mark Deklin was younger, my mistake. I was quite surprised when I saw his age, as he doesn't strike me as that age at all :)

  8. Net, I can barely contain myself! Lucas Bryant and Jill Wagoner! The Angel Tree sounds wonderful to me. When I read this, I wanted to dance. So many good pairings! I think the Taylor Cole and Steve Lund movie will be a fun one too. If only Hallmark could see how happy good movies make viewers! Thrilled with most of these!

  10. I’m currently at work trying to compose myself, but oh my gosh this is soooo exciting! I always look forward to Candace’s movie every year and the fact that Warren Christie is costarring in it is just the cherry on top. I loved him in The Most Wonderful Time of the Year and wondered if we’d ever see him in another Hallmark Christmas movie. The one I’m most excited for though is A Glenbrooke Christmas. Love at the Thanksgiving Day Parade might be my all time favorite Hallmark Christmas movie so Autumn and Antonio back together again is just amazing news! I may have actually gasped out loud when I read this startling a few of my coworkers. Oops! Anyway, thanks Net for this exciting Christmas movie news. - Melissa

    1. Melissa! I love your bubbly enthusiasm! It sounds like we are both loving much of the same stuff!

When I first learned it was a possibility that Warren Christie was Candace's co-star I was overjoyed, too! But then, when I saw it was official - I was so excited I wanted to shout out loud! Candace said on Home & Family this movie, of all her Christmas movies, is her favorite - so we'll see! Since Warren is her co-star, I think it might be an even greater possibility!!!

And, like you, I love, love, love "Love at the Thanksgiving Day Parade!" I may still think of them as Emily and Henry, but just to see them together will be absolutely wonderful!!! :)

    1. Mark 25,

Yes! Katrina Law is back... AKA: Snow Bride!

I had to look it up just to see... we haven't seen her in a new Hallmark movie since actually November, 2015! 5 years! Wow! "12 Gifts of Christmas" is such a good movie, but is it just me or does she act so different in it, then "Snow Bride," which came out in 2013!

I guess she's just being a different character. As Anna, she seems a bit hesitant, indecisive, and uncertain, but as Greta Kaine-nable-sni-ski (however you spell it???) - Katrina appears to be more self-confident and determined.

Wonder what her character will be like in this new Christmas movie? Would you prefer more Anna or Greta???

      Delete
    2. Oh Net, that is a tough choice, since I like Katrina in both of these films. But I think I have to go with the self-assured Greta...and Snow Bride is one of my favorites!

    1. kitkat, Unfortunately, Hallmark has announced there will be no "When Calls the Heart" Christmas movie this year; however, they are promising a special surprise on Christmas Day and 2 extra new episodes for Season 8.

I have been a faithful follower of WCTH for many seasons and I've enjoyed it a lot (except the end of season 5!). Anyway, it's all been mostly good and of course, it's decent and family friendly and I can't help from feeling they are trying to get away from that even more so this Christmas.

Anyway, I hope we can still hold onto some of the good stuff.

By the way, I love "A Song For Christmas," too! Very sweet movie.

    2. Hi kitkat. I listened to a 12/2019 interview with Kevin McGarry. He was called the "King of Christmas" by the interviewer. I am hopeful to see Chris McNally in another Hallmark Christmas movie.

    3. I am very disappointed in the WCTH News of no Christmas special, the Hearties are a loyal fan base, and I am sure they have their reasons for not playing it this Christmas, but I just cant help but feel it is the new direction the channel is going in. That was the one thing I always felt made Hallmark so great and the family values and Christian values, playing WCTH on Christmas day. It feels like a stab in the back to Hearties and people who love Hallmark for what they used to be.

I could be wrong, maybe they haven't had enough time to film for a Christmas episode, although I don't see how that could be possible.

    4. So sorry Net that you are not getting a Christmas of WCTH. Though I am not a fan, I am so happy for those who love this series when they get the shows they enjoy and feel bad when they don't. I love reading comments on this site about the likes and dislikes in the movies. This seems to be a group of loving, kind people who care about our Lord and others. May God bless each and everyone of you. Thanks Net for letting me voice my opinions here!

    5. Sabrina, I've read the explanation that was given regarding no WCTH Christmas movie, and I still don't get it either. Hallmark is still filming OTHER Christmas movies right now and WCTH has been filming for weeks already, but somehow they couldn't do a Christmas movie on Christmas day which is a little less than 3 months away, but they were able to add 2 episodes to the WCTH season??? It just doesn't make sense. Like you, I can't help but feel more and more like they are easing away from it during Christmastime and Christian values.

    7. I was also wondering why they weren't having a Christmas episode of When Calls the Heart, but I bet it's because of time. I'm sure it takes a lot of work to set up the whole town for Christmas and then take it all down for the rest of the season. And with everything being so unpredictable in the world right now, they probably would rather get in as much of a "normal" season as they can. That way in case they have to stop, they'd be able to air a lot of episodes and could then pick right up where they left off. Honestly, I'm happy to see more episodes, since they have such short seasons to begin with. I feel like they're just getting started and then it's over already haha! Just a theory:)

  22. This is both disappointing and disgusting!!! Especially with actors and co stars that we’ve seen time and again on movies we like. It has made me want to get rid of those movies too. I don’t even want to watch the movies I’m interested in for fear it may pop up in them. I honestly wonder if we all boycott Hallmark will they finally get the message we are disappointed in their new direction. Is there no other way we can express our disgust?

Hallmark will never be the same.

    2. I have watched WCTH since it first aired. Where has the faith gone? There was a brightness and warmth in the first several seasons. The characters held on to that faith in all of their trials. That same feeling of brightness and warmth returned for me when Baby Jack was dedicated to the Lord. Like you, Net, I will continue to watch WCTH until they air something that goes against my Christian conscience.

      Delete
    3. Namegirl, I do believe WCTH will always remain family friendly - because they are trying to appeal to that particular audience.

I have also watched earlier episodes, and I also miss those touching elements of faith that were more prominently shown in the beginning. I sure would love to see more moments like that and maybe, a regular Pastor, in the next season. That would be very nice; I've missed that.

The dedication to the Lord ceremony was precious... hope we see more moments like this!

    2. Hi Anonymous. I did a double-take at her photo, too. She much slimmer than last I saw her in a film (Paris, Wine, and Romance.) After all she is a new mommy. I'm used to seeing her with reddish hair or frosted brown hair. She is a blonde in this photo. Sh'e still a little beauty.

    3. Namegirl, Jen was pregnant in Paris, Wine, and Romance. She has returned to normal after having the baby. Jen is a beautiful woman.

  24. Thank you Net for posting about the same-sex couple movies. I’m grateful for the heads up so I don’t have to be surprised in the middle of a movie. It makes me so sad because I have watched every Hallmark and HM&M Christmas movie for years, until this year.

    1. Kellie, I understand completely how you feel. There may be other movies, too, besides these, so we'll have to be aware as we are watching throughout the Christmas season. If I learn something, though, I'll be sure to post it.

So glad to know you share our values here. Thank you for commenting!

  25. I was also thrilled to officially see these actors who have previously worked together - are doing so again...

    A Bright and Merry Christmas
Starring: Alison Sweeney and Marc Blucas
(Who previously starred together in "The Irresistible Blueberry Farm")

    Christmas Waltz
    Starring: Lacey Chabert, Will Kemp
(Who previously starred together in "Love, Romance, and Chocolate")

    A Glenbrooke Christmas
Starring: Autumn Reeser and Antonio Cupo
(Who previously starred together in "Love at the Thanksgiving Day Parade" and "I Do, I Do, I Do")

I notice you didn’t labelled Christmas Homecoming (if the title will change)
Starring Taylor Cole & Steve Lund
(Who previously starred together in "The Art of Us")

  26. I won't be watching any same sex couple movies. I see Lifetime has one as well in their previews.

    2. Anonymous, Oh yes... Taylor Cole & Steve Lund are back together, too! This is definitely the year of the re-pairing! With all the uncertainty of the virus, I know I've discussed with a friend of mine that they are probably more comfortable working with someone they've worked with in the past.

  27. So excited to see Katrina Law back in a Hallmark Movie. Hope to see Aaron O'Connell also. Still hoping that Hallmark will put 12 gifts of Christmas on dvd. Love that movie. Also, still hoping for Window Wonderland, Return to Christmas Creek(possibly my favorite from 2018), Thanksgiving House, Finding Christmas, Farewell Mr. Kringle, Twelfth day of Christmas(on dvd for Australia), Christmas Land, Love Always Santa, Love in Paradise and Chasing Leprechauns. Some more early Christmas presents would be nice Hallmark. Thanks Net for keeping us updated on movies and content. We don't watch Hallmark like we used to either. Like others have said you just can't turn it on and feel safe anymore. I don't want to see their ratings go down. I want to see the family friendly movies that they used to make. There are enough other channels showing those non friendly family shows. Hallmark needs to stand out as a beacon for quality programing. Hoping they turn around. RG

    1. RG, Thank you for sharing your hopes for Hallmark. You know I feel the same way, but now that the door has been opened to that content, I'm not sure it can be closed. I don't think it will ever be like it was before.

I, too, hope we'll see more of the DVDs you are seeking... hopefully soon! :)

      Blessings to you!

  28. As everyone else is saying, I am extremely disappointed.
They used to hold their movies to a higher standard, that included morals, and that was what drew people to them. But now they are the same as everyone else.
I would love to ask "Why should anyone turn to your channel, when it's the same as all the others? What sets you apart now?"
    This makes me so upset

    1. I think that is a great point! Hallmark was special because of its quality program and now it's on the same level as Lifetime. We should ask Hallmark why you over stations? I don't think they could come up with a good answer.

  29. Any other time I have been excited about seeing Paul Campbell & Kimberley Sustad, but not anymore. The disgusting behavior of Paul on social media a few months ago ended it all for be. I have always enjoyed both of them but now the joy is gone. Thank you Net for always guiding us in the right direction!

  31. I agree. It is a shame that Hallmark is pandering to political correctness. I think this will lose a lot of fans. I've read the synopses of the new movies, and in all honesty, there is not one original one out there. I think I'll be skipping quite a few, sadly.

    1. Savvy Girl, I feel the same way. I used to record and eventually watch every movie, but I'm not doing that this year. It seems every thing is different in 2020, and not always for the better.

40 movies is a lot and I imagine even the most faithful viewers will only see a portion of that.

  32. I too feel the same way as many of you do with Hallmark's change of direction! And it's a shame, because a few years ago I complained - on this site actually - about how Hallmark needed to include more religious scenes in their Christmas movies, and then it seemed that for the last couple of years there have been more nativity scenes in the background, more Christmas pageants, more religious songs, etc. I just hate seeing this direction being reversed!

    1. Yes, Mark 25 - we definitely need more nativity scenes and recognition of the birth of Jesus in these Christmas movies! It is CHRISTMAS, after all. You're 100% right - that message seems to get lost these days. It would be so nice to have that again.

  34. Having looked at these new Christmas movies in some depth now I'm feeling a bit excited as on paper at least they do really look a good bunch.

It's great to see several stars whom we haven't seen for a while returning.

Considering he was so prolific last year it's odd Kevin McGarry doesn't seem to be making an appearance this year particularly as there's no WCTH Christmas special.

It will be interesting to see how they end the Ryan Paevey/ Erin Cahill movie A Timeless Christmas since one of the characters is from a different era.

I notice they haven't listed anything for the post Christmas/ New Year's Day period so I think it's possible we might get Aimee Teegarden's A Brand New Resolution then.

    1. A friend told me Kevin McGarry might be busy filming Heartland. He could not be there when that show started filming the new season because they were still filming WCTH. Either way, I am still hoping for another movie with Kevin soon.

    2. That makes perfect sense. Kevin McGarry's schedule of filming both WCTH and Heartland must be quite demanding, though I've been wondering if he might play a smaller role in the future on Heartland, or leave the show entirely, if the writers create a story-line where his character, Mitch, breaks up with Lou. (SPOILER) Their characters didn't seem to be getting along well in the last episode, so we'll see.

    3. I hope Kevin McGarry has 2 or 3 Christmas movies

    4. But Kevin McGarry still might be filming WCTH until November 17, 2020

  37. Thank you so much for letting us know the movies that have same sex couples in them so i can avoid them. If you could keep is informed on any other movies with these themes in them as you find out that would be awesome! Don’t want any unpleasant surprises while I’m watching. Definitely disappointed in hallmark but have been signs it was coming with the promotion of this lifestyle in store products and posts on social media. Unless a company is owned by people with strong moral beliefs it will always cave to public pressure.

  39. We are very saddened and disappointed that Hallmark is now supporting the LGBTQ. This was our go to for clean, family TV. As a Christian, it was so nice knowing we could still enjoy watching movies without compromising our faith and Hallmark was one of the few choices. Sadly, we've given Hallmark up altogether and hopefully the stars we love & have enjoyed will do the same and join Up or Pureflix.

    1. I complete understand your feelings regarding Hallmark this year. There are definitely some movies I would not watch or endorse based on my faith values.

Unfortunately, there are also some older UP movies that I would not say are family friendly. Also, I recently watched a Christmas movie through Pureflix titled "A Kiss on Candy Cane Lane," and I was very disappointed with the content. In fact, it was so bad we turned it off. I didn't think I would have to do research into a movie that was offered at Pureflix, a streaming service I'm paying for where I expect decent, family programming. Very sad.

So... unfortunately, it just goes to show you - we can't truly trust any channel or streaming service. We have to do our own homework.

Even though there were some movies I wouldn't watch on Hallmark, there were others that were still wonderful. If you're interested, you can see reviews from the followers here - which gives us all a scoop on which movies are family friendly.

  40. These were the most watched Christmas Movies on Hallmark this year.

    Hallmark Channel

01 3.95M Christmas Waltz Lacey Chabert & Will Kemp
02 3.93m If I Only Had Christmas Candace Cameron Bure & Warren Christie
03 3.38m A Timeless Christmas Erin Cahill & Ryan Paevey
04 3.37m Five Star Christmas Bethany Joy Lenz & Victor Webster
05 3.16m A Nashville Christmas Carol Jessy Schram & Wes Brown

    Hallmark Movies and Mysteries

01 1.90 Time For Us To Come Home For Christmas Lacey Chabert & Stephen Huszar
02 1.79m A Glenbrooke Christmas Autumn Reeser & Antonio Cupo
03 1.70m USS Christmas Jen Lilley & Trevor Donovan
04 1.43m A Godwink Christmas: Second Chances First Love Brooke D'Orsay & Sam Page
05 1.42m The Angel Tree Jill Wagner & Lucas Bryant

So it's double congratulations to Lacey Chabert

Somewhat surprisingly the least watched Movie of all with only 0.91m viewers was The Christmas Bow with Lucia Micarelli and Michael Rady.

I personally thought it was one of the better movies this year and Micael Rady has always seemed like a popular actor here.
