Christmas Jars - available on kindle / hardcover / paperback

Press Release via BYUtv:

PROVO, Utah, Feb. 26, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- BYUtv, a family entertainment network available nationwide over cable, satellite and streaming, today announced that production has begun on the highly anticipated film "Christmas Jars," which will air on the network during the 2019 holiday season.

Based on the bestselling novel by Jason F. Wright, it tells the story of reporter Hope Jensen, who uncovers the remarkable secret behind the "Christmas Jars" – glass jars filled with coins and bills anonymously left for people in need.

"'Christmas Jars' is a phenomenon with a reach far beyond that of a typical novel, as it created a new tradition that has changed many lives over the years," said Michael Dunn, managing director of BYUtv. "It is exactly the kind of uplifting story that we want to be part of at BYUtv, and we hope that this film will bring families together each holiday season and inspire them to start 'Christmas Jars' of their own."

  1. I have never heard of this book. Thanks for the heads up! Oh, and I watch BYUTV for this show called Relative Race! I really enjoy that show and hope they do another season.

    1. Glad to hear your excitement, Misty! I haven't read this book, either, but I have heard wonderful reviews of it! Someone even said it read like a Hallmark movie... so that's high praise & encouraging news!

By the way, I happened to catch Relative Race the other day, and I recalled you mentioned enjoying it. I thought it was very sweet, especially when they met up with family they had never met before. It was like The Amazing Race, with a heartwarming twist at the end.

      Thank you, Misty, for sharing!
      Blessings, Net

  2. The 25th snuck up on me this month. Just got done re-watching "The Santa Suit" a day late. Funny and warm as ever. I'll try to keep our date next month. Merry 25th everybody.

    1. Hello Mark! I'm so happy to have you join along! It's never too late to join this party and Mark the 25th!

Great movie choice! Kevin Sorbo is such an excellent actor... I would love to see him in a new Hallmark movie!

Thanks so much for sharing in the fun!

*If anyone reading this is curious about Mark the 25th, you can see the latest post - here!

    2. Oops! I forgot to identify myself as Mark2 (from Washington state). I'll try to remember from now on. Thank you for being so warm and welcoming. I really like being part of this group.

    3. Mark2, Thank you so much for adding that! We are all glad to have you here... as part of the "It's a Wonderful Movie" family!

  3. What an inspiring, beautiful film! My mom and I watched this together and it had both of us in tears. This is a beautiful story of giving of oneself and noticing who needs a helping hand. No wonder the giving of Christmas jars to neighbors and friends is sweeping the country! Next year, I think I will start my own Christmas Jar to give to someone in need. There is a love story that is sweet and natural but it is not the main focus. I love that the story comes full circle (I don't want to give anything away, but it's a definite "pay it forward" feel). I watched it on my Roku (AD FREE. Someone else mentioned that the tv channel is commercial free – I too noticed this (on another movie), which is completely unheard of but true!
