Let's Countdown to Christmas! How will you *MARK the 25th* - of August?

Since August 25th lands on the weekend, I am doing this feature a little earlier this time around.

On each 25th day of the month - here at It's a Wonderful Movie" we Countdown to Christmas and "MARK" THE 25th - by watching a Christmas movie! All who follow here are welcome to join along. (see details below!)

On August 25th... it will only be 4 months until December 25th, Christmas Day... 121 days and so many hours and minutes, according to my Countdown Clock!!!

To commemorate this special time here at It's a Wonderful Movie... let's share which Christmas movies (or program, cartoon, etc...) we are watching on the 25th! (Or, perhaps over the weekend!) For those of you who would like to participate, please share your Christmas pick - in comments below!

For the 25th I have chosen to watch the movie...

Love at the Thanksgiving Day Parade

Hallmark Crown Media

Since Autumn Reeser's Summer Nights movie "Season for Love" premieres this Saturday night, which is the 25th, I thought this would be a fun time to look back at her first Hallmark movie!

"Love at the Thanksgiving Day Parade" is a delightfully witty and remarkably romantic - Hallmark movie treasure! I simply adore Autumn and Antonio Cupo in it - together!

In this movie we learn... everything old is new again and things of the past should not be discarded, but cherished!

By now, most of you have seen this movie, so you don't need me to tell you how fabulous it is, but in case your curious, you can read my full movie review - *here*!

And, for anyone interested, "Love at the Thanksgiving Day Parade" is available on DVD or streaming video!

Please share your picks for Mark the 25th in comments below!

Joyful Blessings! Net

  2. Watching something Autumn Reeser is a great idea, and maybe also watching Marc Blucas, so I think I will do Bramble House and Miss Christmas. I can't believe it is almost 2 months to Countdown to Christmas and 1 month to Fall Harvest, yippee. Dunkin Donuts is getting the pumpkin donut in on Saturday, yipppeeeee. Bring on the pumpkin.

    1. Brent, That movie is so great! I was pleasantly surprised by "Romance at Reindeer Lodge" last year and loved re-watching it in July! It is truly something special... entertaining, extremely funny, and the romance is sweet too!

Enjoy watching it again! Blessings, Net

  4. This month I want to laugh, laugh, laugh, so I have chosen "One Christmas Eve". Not only laugh, I was thoroughly exhausted at the end of this movie after all the crazy antics Nell and her brood encountered this Christmas eve. Loved "Love at the Thanksgiving Day Parade, watched it last month! Great pick, Net!

    1. That is a perfect Christmas movie choice, Linda, to make you laugh! I love "One Christmas Eve" and the Puppy!!!

I recall some were surprised that it was the Hallmark Hall of Fame movie, because of all the comedy in it, but it's definitely filled with lots of heartwarming moments too!

Enjoy watching and laughing along!!! :)

    1. Awesome! Thank you for sharing that news, H.R. One of the cast members shared a while back that they were expecting the premiere date to be Sunday, September 30, but I haven't seen Hallmark confirm that, yet. I'm hoping we will hear something soon! :)

      I appreciate you sharing!

    1. Perfect pick, Jim! I'm adding "Miss Christmas" to my weekend Christmas movie viewing too, along with "Love at the Thanksgiving Day Parade!" The more the merrier!!! :)

So glad you're hungry DVR hasn't eaten that one, yet!

    2. LOL Net....my current Streaming service only allows movies to stay for 30 days than they go buy buy. Will get something different for the upcoming Christmas season.

    3. Just noticed I mistakenly put "buy buy" instead of "Bye-bye" lol. Maybe my streaming service is telling me to go "buy buy" the DVR's through Net's Amazon links and then I don't have to worry about it...haha.

    4. That is so funny, Jim! Could be a subliminal message... Love it!!! :)

Great idea Net! I will be joining Sabrina and watch A Bramble House Christmas and either Miss Christmas or Operation Christmas. I don't have Love at the Thanksgiving Day Parade but it's on my wish list. Thanks for keeping us in line for "Mark the 25th"!

  9. Seeing that Lindy Booth is going to be in a new movie, Under the Autumn Moon, reminded me of an older Lifetime movie that she was in, The Twelve Trees of Christmas. Since I have it on dvd, that is going to be my pick for the 25th.

Can you believe we are only four months away from Christmas?!! Thank you so much Net for your wonderful site to help us keep the Christmas spirit alive the whole year 'round!
