"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails..." (1 Corinthians 13:4-8 NIV)

Brendan King is a foster kid who grew up on the wrong side of the law, graduating from five-finger discounts and fights on the playground to membership in a multi-racial gang. Brendan, determined to keep things on track, starts high school where he falls for popular Natalie, the student council president with struggles of her own. All seems to be going well until the gang comes back looking for him and he is forced into a decision that could change his life once again.
