  1. I might be the odd one, but I’ve been spending my time indoors as much as possible. It’s been sooo hot, now if I had a pool you couldn’t get me to go inside!🤣🤣🤣 Watching Christmas movies helps me cool down. Haha ;)

    1. Abigail, yeah, it’s been pretty hot for us, too. I ended up being in & out today because of it, and l might have rewatched part of a Christmas movie too… A Christmas Prayer! Love that one! That little girl’s heart is so beautiful in the way she believes that Jesus is answering her prayers. Oh, how I wish all prayers could be answered so easily. I’m so looking forward to seeing how they continue the story! 🙏🏻🎄

    4. Same here Abigail, we are in CA & it’s been brutal! 109 this weekend 🥵 I will say though, we’ve been swimming at my moms’ throughout this summer and while it’s been refreshing we have gotten attached by mosquitos!
I haven’t been able to watch much movies because we have been so busy getting ready for back to school, but I have them all recorded! Hoping to watch many soon as our children go back to school next week. I’m like you Net, I’ll play a movie in the background while I cook or clean, this week it has been the Flower Shop Mysteries that they were replaying on Hallmark Mystery channel.
On another note, I love that scripture Net. I was just reading one similar in Psalm the other night about singing unto Him always.
“Sing unto Him, sing Psalms unto Him: talk ye of all His wondrous works.”
      Psalm 105:12
I love this reminder- in every season, we must sing praises unto God, with joy in our hearts, and keep thanking Him for all he has done for us- prayers he has answered, blessings he has given. When I reflect on those things, it always encourages me to keep fighting the good fight.

    5. Paula, Thank you for your sweet response... I'm always so touched by the way you share your thoughts on the scriptures, and I love your statement, "in every season, we must sing praises unto God, with joy in our hearts..." Amen to this!!!!

Also, so glad you all have been enjoying your last days of summer vacation, except for those awful mosquitoes. I totally get it - they have been awful for us, too, and I'm the "lucky one" they are always attracted to the most. :) :)

Absolutely Devoted to You is a fun and family friendly movie. It's a little slow at first, but hang on. It's gets better....and the song and dance routine in the end was AMAZING! The movie is worth watching just to see that!! Kimberly and Jesse had great chemistry and I was a little concerned about that pairing. They both did a great job!

  5. “Absolutely Devoted to You” was cute, but let’s be honest… it’s no “A Country Wedding!” That one is still hard to beat! 💕

  6. Hi Net,

I guess I am late to the party! Sorry, I have been so busy lately and the remainder of August is going to be busy as well.

We finally got around to watching "Absolutely Devoted to You" and I have to say it was worth the wait! I laughed out loud, at Merrie. She was so funny! Watching her fan girl over Derrick was hysterical. I can relate, because I too, have been in her shoes. I think every single girl had a crush on someone in the music industry at one time in their life
for certain. 🙂 Kimberley was her 'fabulous self' as always. She makes it look so easy and often find myself forgetting she is even acting. She is such a natural. And, it was so good to see Jesse back on my TV screen. He is a great actor and he had wonderful chemistry with Kimberley as well as the teenagers he mentored. His onscreen time with young Jordan was especially poignant. It was nice seeing Graham again in a movie. 🙂 We have watched him grow up, on Hallmark. He was very good in his role. Anyway, the final production scene was a lot of fun. I highly recommend this sweet movie.

I do have to agree with you all. "Country Wedding" remains my favorite Jesse Metcalfe movie. I have the DVD so I can watch it anytime I want to! ❤️ And, I do love Kimberley in "Nine Lives of Christmas". She is seriously enchanting!!!!!!

It is going to be really hot here in KY, this coming weekend. I am so ready for cooler weather.

    1. Joan, Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on "Absolutely Devoted to You." So good to hear you enjoyed it, too! I agree, it was so sweet to see Jesse Metcalfe again and Graham Verchere, too!

You are so right - Graham has grown up on Hallmark through the years - from Signed, Sealed, Delivered and Perfect Match to this!!! At first, when I saw his face, I was trying to remember what movie I knew him from - and then it clicked... the movie with Danica & Paul Greene from 2015!!! So awesome to see him again!!!

Have a nice weekend - and try to keep cool inside, if you can. It's been such a hot summer.

    3. Hi Net,

You are welcome! Glad to know you also enjoyed this sweet and light and fun movie. We all need to sit back and bask in the joy of watching a film that just hits all of the marks. And, I thought Graham was so good in that movie with Danica and Paul. We knew he was going to be around for a really long time because he had 'it' at a young age. Thanks for the nice weekend wishes. I had a wonderful weekend! I got to spend quality time with two of my favorite cousins. We spent 3 1/2 hours, catching up at a coffee shop. We lost track of time and it was just awesome. We have been close for our entire lives. Those two were like sisters to me. We are already planning on our next 'girls only' coffee time. :-)

Hi Joyce, Sarah L. and Allie B. Yeah to you all loving this movie and for also loving our favorite movies they both starred in.

  7. Absolutely Devoted to You is just one of those movies that is light, easygoing, and a whole lot of fun!!! It’s the kind of movie you can sit back and enjoy… and before you know it, you’re smiling!!!

I really enjoyed the connection between Jesse Metcalfe and Kimberley Sustad as Derrick and Kaitlin. I thought they worked really well together, and I especially liked the deal they make.

Kaitlin promises to sell out the tickets for the community center’s variety show, where Derrick volunteers. If she pulls it off, Derrick agrees to reunite with his old boy band, Absolutely Yeah, for a reunion performance on the TV show Kaitlin produces. Of course, the big question is whether Derrick really plans to keep his promise!

One of my favorite parts was the group of young boys at the community center. They’re putting together their own boy-band-style performance for the variety show, and they’re so much fun to watch. They really care about Derrick and even get involved in a little matchmaking along the way. Their friendship with him is genuine and sweet.

Overall, this is just a cute, feel-good movie that’s easy to enjoy. I liked the romance, the humor, the music, and of course, the whole boy-band reunion storyline. It definitely hits the right notes without taking itself too seriously. The song at the end is an absolute joy to watch!

So… did I enjoy this movie? Absolutely Yeah! ~Net
