New images have been released via swooon.com for Hallmark's March movie premiere, A Royal Setting, starring Jen Lilley and Dan Jeannotte.
If you're a loyal follower here at *It's a Wonderful Movie,* then you've been in-the-know about this movie, from my *Hallmark March Movie Post*, since February 3rd, but now I just had to share the images posted exclusively today to Swooon for this upcoming rom-com premiere.
Plus, Hallmark is also joining in the excitement - with Jen Lilley's return to their network - with this special post today on their socials:
Jen Lilley & Hallmark Channel stated:
"We’re so excited to officially announce A Royal Setting, starring Jen Lilley and Dan Jeannotte, premiering March 28 on Hallmark! Get ready for romance fit for royalty ๐๐"
Hallmark made this comment on this post:
"A royal return for the ages! ๐"
And Jen Lilley responded:
"@hallmarkchannel ❤️ ๐ ❤️ ๐ ❤️ ๐ ❤️ ๐"
So... it appears this may be the start of potentially more movies with Jen Lilley on Hallmark!
Storyline: Ruby, a world-renowned gemologist is hired by Prince Luca to restore the crown jewels and design his crown challenging tradition and complicating his relationship with his mother, the queen.

ReplyDeleteNice to see Hallmark giving Jen such a warm welcome back. Christie
ReplyDeleteSo exciting!
ReplyDeleteI do not mean to sound mean but she never has any chemistry with any of her actors. It almost seems like she is just going though the motions for the movie.
ReplyDeleteTotally disagree. Have you even seen Winter Love Story with Kevin McGarry?
DeleteYes! Like I said no chemistry.
DeleteOooh!! That was a great one, and so was U. S. S. Christmas and Mingle All the Way. She’s definitely one of my favorites!!
DeleteYay! Love her! ❤️
ReplyDeleteDid Jen ever give a reason why she left GAF? Was it just a financial reason or something else?
ReplyDeleteThis movie looks soooo good. Can’t wait. Jen is one of the best!!
ReplyDeleteNot related to this post - but just wanted to mention I was very sorry to hear today of the passing of actor James Van Der Beek, star of the television series, Dawson's Creek, and the heartwarming Christmas movie, Mrs. Miracle.
ReplyDeleteHe was born March 8, 1977 - only 48 years old. So sad.
He leaves behind such a beautiful family - his wife, Kimberly, six children, his father, James Sr., and two siblings - his brother Jared and sister Juliana. (His mother, Melinda, passed away in 2020)
My heart and prayers go out to all of his dear family and friends.
James Van Der Beek as Seth Webster on Debbie Macomber's Mrs. Miracle
DeleteJames Van Der Beek starred in the 2009 Hallmark Channel Christmas movie Debbie Macomber's Mrs. Miracle as Seth Webster, a widowed father, alongside Doris Roberts
James Van Der Beek is only 48 years old who passed away today from illness. He's too young to death
I’m not really familiar with him, but my heart goes out to his young family. Praying for them.
DeleteHi Net,
DeleteI was so saddened by the news of his passing. Oh my gosh, James was loved by so many people. He made such a difference in so many lives throughout his brief life. I have read so many heartfelt posts, on social media, about the way James made them feel and how much they respected him. He was truly someone special. I have not seen or heard anything disparaging about him which is a true testament of who he was as a person. He most certainly is sitting beside our Lord in heaven as he was blessed and he was a true believer. We can all learn something from him. Let's all be a steward of faith and goodness so that when we leave this earth we will be remembered as someone who brought joy to others. Prayers for this family and friends who are hurting so deeply right now.
Jen Lilley of Great American Family Tells Fans: 'You Are Never ...
ReplyDeleteJen Lilley did not renew her exclusive contract with Great American Family (GAF) after it expired, embracing 2024 as a year of "non-exclusivity" to pursue other projects. She has not retired from acting but is now free to work with various networks, including a return to Hallmark.
Contract Status: Her exclusive deal, signed in 2022, ended, & she did not renew it
Future Plans: She is open to returning to Hallmark & recently announced a new movie with them, A Royal Setting, for 2026.
Reasoning: Lilley sought more flexibility and, in 2024, has been focusing on other career ventures.
Background: She previously left Hallmark for GAF in 2021/2022, a move she initially defended as supporting faith-based content.
Her departure from exclusivity was a professional choice, not a hostile one, as she has maintained good relationships with peers at both networks
Not surprised. GAF provided her with terrible scripts IMO. The best movie she did for them was the Paris movie and that wasn't their production.
ReplyDeleteCrystal Lowe is having her surgery on Feb 19. Let’s all remember to pray for the doctors to have wisdom, for it to be successful and for peace for her as it must be scary for her. And most importantly for salvation, that the Lord will use this hard time for her whole family’s good in coming to know Him.
