I'm personally most interested in Home Turf and maybe the new Jane Mystery.
Most of you likely know that Halloween and spooky ghost stories aren’t my thing, but I’d love to hear what you think. Be sure to share your thoughts on these new movies in the comments below.
And can you believe it? This is the very last movie release before the big Christmas movie announcements arrive! Stay tuned! π✨

Net-Thanks for post.
ReplyDeleteBring on the Christmas movies!
-Gabe’s Mom
Gabe's Mom, Yes... it's so exciting we're inching closer to Christmas!!! :)
DeleteCan't get tnto The Jane Mysteries at all.
ReplyDeleteNikki DeLoach and Warren Christie had great chemistry in Our Holiday Story (even if the movie was meh) and I think Home Turf looks good.
No thanks for another Haul Out - Lacey's worst movies.
What I just don't understand is why with cable fast waning and in freefall Hallmark is persisting in airing mysteries on Sunday's at 9.00 p.m which is something of a death slot.
Won't be long before the Christmas schedule is announced - we more or less know all of the 40 but there are a couple yet to be revealed.
Looking like there is no Dan Jeanotte nor Chandler Massey this year - Florence
Florence, I really enjoyed reading your thoughts!
DeleteIt is curious that the mysteries aren't performing well in ratings on Sunday nights, considering that When Calls the Heart did so well in that time slot. It could be the timing of one season to another, or that WCTH has such a loyal following that viewers would tune in at any time.
I’ve also come across many Christmas movie titles for both Hallmark and GAF that are still in various stages of production, along with some intriguing series news that hasn’t been officially announced yet.
Of course, we’ll have to wait and see how many of these movies turn out to be truly memorable, but like we both said, the big Christmas movie announcements should be rolling in soon! That’s always such a fun and festive time! :)
This has got to be the most disappointing Fall Harvest/movies yet. I am very disappointed in them all. And then of course them calling the Groomsman movies fall, as well as Jane Mysteries. Just terrible.
ReplyDeleteI am really seeing that they must be struggling there, and all the firings. I just wonder if it has to do with these things:
They alienated their fans, the long time fans that got them to be #1 by not only being woke, but just simply not even caring that they alienated them
They have just WAY TOO many Christmas movies. Its to the point I can barely even find 1 good movie for the season. So many that are so bad that it turns me off watching any more. They just make movies to say they make the most, and the ratings show
All the stuff they put on + then put it on HM. I kind of figured they would, and I guess I am somewhat glad for a few things cause I was never going to get +, but many are not happy cause they are putting movies on as new that they have seen before. Then, like 6 months later you get to see that stupid Sea series, which it is old. I feel that is like recording a football game and watching it later, when you watch a bunch of bad acting regular people on a christmas themed reality tv cruise. And then the Mr Christmas thing, are they really playing that when they already filmed and showed the terrible movie last year?
It now seems they must not be getting the subscriptions cause now the stuff is going to HM and not +. The only good thing I have seen from + was The Chicken Sisters. I know they push the envelope a lot on it, but there are a lot of stories going on and I LOVE the cast.
Could we be in store for way less christmas movies this year? I hope so. I really haven't seen a large # of movies being filmed, and hallmark basically told us all of them that we already knew during those sneak peaks, except for the LC/AW movie. Every single other one we knew about.
I hope for less, and good quality, but we will likely get less, bad quality. I am wondering if Hallmark has learned its lesson, they turned into Target or Kohls and are losing all the people that got them where they were for the supposed new folks that were not at all as dedicated as many of us were.
Sabrina
Sabrina, you said there's not more than you know of that Hallmark has officially released news on but there are way more than the 10 Hallmark has officially released. There are at least 30 Hallmark Christmas movies already filmed right now that I know of. There has been plenty of filming. There was an article released earlier this year where Hallmark commented that there will be at least 40 Christmas movies. They also have said in the past they will never have less movies than the year before.
DeleteOh boy. I mean I knew there were more filmed, it just seemed like I saw less, and that GAF, Lifetime and UP will all need movies. I guess I can keep wishing for less.
DeleteSabrina
Hallmark has actually just started filming at least 4 new Christmas movies! - Florence
DeleteSabrina, I so love hearing from you and getting your refreshing honest take on everything. It seems every year, the volume of Christmas movies pushes the limit... I agree there. And yes, the quality does seem to suffer, at times, when there is so much focus on quantity. It's the same old story, right?
DeleteHopefully, even if there are many choices, there will still be a few good stand-outs this Christmas.
And yeah, I too wish there were more actual Fall movies; they had a lot more last year.
Sometimes I feel like they are trying to do an unnecessary Cracker Barrel upgrade on us - when all viewers want is the standard family-friendly rom-com, drama, or mystery we've always loved. There's no need to change the formula and reinvent the wheel so to speak.
Thank you for sharing in the conversation, my friend! I'm sooo looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the Christmas movies over the holiday season.
its not listed here but the second Haunted Harmony Mystery is October 12
ReplyDeleteHill Ashley, "Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Buried At C" is listed above near the end of the post. You may have overlooked it, since there aren't any images listed with it, yet.
DeleteHome Turf looks great, definitely planning to watch it! I might check out Haul Out the Halloween too, as long as it's more fun than spooky. Christie
ReplyDeleteChristie, Totally agree. I'm also curious about Haul Out the Halloween since I've seen the two previous movies, but don't want to see the dark evil side of the holiday, if that's included.
DeleteOf course I’ll be tuning into the Nikki one ; I believe I saw the Jane Mystery one when I tried Hallmark Plus earlier this year….speaking of mysteries, do we know when Mistletoe Murders will be dropping season 2? Hopefully they still plan to continue it.
ReplyDeleteAnd this is so exciting Net, that the Christmas movies are next!

Paula, So far, all we know is that the Hallmark Channel is airing both seasons 1 and 2 of "Mistletoe Murders" this Christmas season.
DeleteSince they are airing both, I do wonder if they might air two episodes at once so it equals movie time, but that's just a guess.
I’m also thrilled this announcement is finally here… and I can't wait until the next one! πππ
I Like the looks of Home Turf. That's the only one. I don't watch anything with Jodie Sweetin and could never get into Haul Out the Holley movies so will pass on Haul Out the Halloween.
ReplyDeleteJoyce, Yeah, I'm really liking the Fall-feel of "Home Turf," too. Hoping it's a good one! :)
DeleteI don’t care to see anything Halloween, but I will try Lacey’s since it’s part of a series.
ReplyDeleteAbigail, I'm right there with ya! Hope they keep it light and fun and don't include dark Halloween stuff. :)
DeleteBoy, I must be asleep at the wheel. Those of you who said we know most of upcoming 40 Hallmark Christmas movies...I can't even come close to figuring out that many! Oh well...I'll blame it on my recent overseas vacation along with 2-3 weeks of a respiratory infection (which I am still not over). Ugh!
ReplyDeleteOh, and Net...time to change the heading to 36 million! Way to go, my friend!!
Mark 25, It’s such a joy to hear from you, my friend! I’m glad you had a wonderful vacation, though I’m sorry to hear about the respiratory infection. I hope you’re truly on the mend now and feeling much better each day.
DeleteAnd thank you for *marking* the clicks...wow, 36 million! I’ll get that updated soon. My heart is just so grateful for you and everyone who stops by here- it truly means so much!
Mark, I am with you. It feels like I havent seen as many movies filmed, and of all the movies with christmas titles, there is Lifetime, GAF and UPtv. I am sure there is nobody that knows all the Hallmark movies. Mnay years people claim something is for Hallmark, but it ends up somewhere else. Some actors even call everything hallmark, meaning a tv movie. I don't know. To the anon person who told me there are way more, I do know that, i was just stating it seems there have been less movies filmed. Or maybe I am just not seeing them, but many times I see titles that never got filmed, or never get a network.
DeleteThe anon told me hallmark said they will never do less, but Hallmark is hurting now and maybe they do. If they played 2 movies a weekend, what is that like 8 weekends, thats 16 movies. And this is if they started Oct 24th, which anything earlier than that is too early. And then TG week they play extra, maybe 5 more, thats 21 on HM. Then 8 to 10 for HMM. Not only are there movies, but all these shows, and more christmas at sea, and mistletoe murders and that stupid Mr Chrsitmas. One thing I do want to watch, baking show.
All of this is making me think, for sure, the older, only real good movies they have, movies are going away.
Sabrina
Sabrina, I’m really curious to see if Hallmark Mystery will even have any new Christmas movies this holiday season.
DeleteIn the past, I would’ve thought for sure a series like "Mistletoe Murders" would without question air there, but since they’ve already announced it for the main Hallmark Channel, it makes me wonder if Hallmark Mystery will have anything new at all this year. I really hope so, because that channel has given us so many gems over the years, but from what we’ve seen so far, I’m just not sure.
And if that's the case, maybe Hallmark Mystery can air more of the older Christmas movies we love!!!
These look fun!
ReplyDeletedstoutholcomb, Hope you'll enjoy many this October! :)
DeleteJust a heads up that on the Hallmark app, they are listing the Groomsmen movies as "new" fall lineup, even though they premiered last year on Hallmark plus. One of the three films in the series features - as the main storyline - a same sex marriage in which the male best man has fallen in love with one of the grooms. You probably mentioned it last year, but some people may not be aware of this. It's weird that the Hallmark app is pushing these films to the consumers as "new" and fall themed. (I don't see fall in them anywhere!)
ReplyDeletemnewlfe, Thank you so much for making sure everyone here was aware of this content in these movies. I mentioned the "Groomsmen" movies in my September post here:
Deletehttps://itsawonderfulmovie.blogspot.com/2025/08/hallmark-channels-september-2025-movie-premieres.html
The "Jane Mystery," premiering on the Hallmark Channel in October, has also previously premiered on Hallmark+, so it is also technically not "new".
It should be interesting to see if Hallmark+ premieres anything FIRST over the Christmas season or if they'll simply continue the pattern of premiering first on the Hallmark Channel and then the next day on Hallmark+. For those who pay for the streamer, it doesn't seem as though they are receiving any bonus content in return.
