It’s the weekend again, friends!
We are now nearing the end of Christmas in July - with only two weekends to go! This month always flies by nearly as fast as Santa on Christmas Eve!
The Hallmark Channel is halfway through the cable premiere of their four Unwrapping Christmas films; however, there are still plenty of festive holiday classics airing throughout this weekend and the rest of July on Hallmark and Great American Family! I've included the weekend Christmas Schedule below. I’ve also shared (at the end of this post) a few of the Christmas movies I’m especially excited to watch- be sure to let me know your favorites in the comments!
Also, Lifetime has its first suspenseful movie premiere this weekend that includes faith. This film appears to be a powerful and inspirational story set against intense and emotional circumstances. Please note: I have not previewed this film. It may include some adult content and mature dialogue, so viewer discretion is advised.
See details for these movies below...
Saturday, July 19, 2025:

Storyline: Amidst the chaos of the holiday season, Lily, a hardworking marketing whiz, meets a charming realtor. As their connection grows, she wonders if he could be the perfect holiday gift.
Movie Reviews:
π Unwrapping Christmas: Lily's Destiny is clean. –Maria
π Unwrapping Christmas: Lily’s Destiny is another delightful installment in this charming series. This story introduces an intriguing love triangle that keeps things interesting. Lily, portrayed by Ashley Newbrough, is radiant and attractive; she finds herself torn between the town’s wealthy, most eligible bachelor and a new acquaintance who shares a meaningful connection to her past and brings a comforting sense of home. It's a fun, feel-good, family-friendly movie. ~Net
Saturday, July 19, 2025:

Storyline: Nichole Jolly is a nurse at the town’s hospital, who begins her day as usual, only to face an unimaginable crisis when a wildfire rapidly engulfs the town. Torn between her duty to protect her patients and her desperate need to find her husband Nick, (Colin Moss) and children, Nichole discovers an unyielding strength within herself to save not only her family but countless residents from the encroaching flames. The film is a tribute to the indomitable human spirit and the unsung heroes who emerge in the face of tragedy.

I hope you all have a relaxing, enjoyable weekend! It's going to be another dangerously hot one for us. I hope those of you who are experiencing the same intense heat will be able to keep cool and perhaps, stay inside and enjoy a movie or two!
I've seen "Unwrapping Christmas: Lily's Destiny," and thought it was a fun watch! See Maria's and my review above.
In addition to that, I'm hoping to see A Biltmore Christmas, Once Upon a Christmas Wish, Christmas Waltz, and others! What movies are on your watch list?
"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."
I’m kinda curious about these new Lifetime movies. I think this is a good sign that they are delving into the inspirational realm.
ReplyDeleteAllie B, Yes! We definitely need more movies with inspiration & faith!!!
DeleteHey Net! Your videos are such a treat! I especially loved Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree with the Great American Family movies, but fun to see some older movies in your Hallmark video too.
ReplyDeleteMy weekend picks are A Dickens of a Holiday, A Little Women’s Christmas, A Biltmore Christmas, and Unwrapping Christmas: Lily's Destiny. Christie
Oh, thank you, for your kind words! So glad you enjoyed the videos I shared. They were such fun to do - and with so many Christmas songs... it was hard to choose, but I thought "Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree" was fun, too!
DeleteAlso, love your movie picks! I also ended up seeing some of "A Dickens of a Holiday"! What a great movie. Kristoffer portrays a wonderful Scrooge!
Faith in the Flames: The Nichole Jolly Story (2025)

Nichole Jolly is a nurse who clocks in her shift at a local hospital in Paradise, CA. When a raging wildfire engulfs the town & forces an evacuation, she risks her own life to bring her Husband, children & other residents to safety
Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteI saw Faith in the Flames: Nichole Jolly Story movie trailer & then short trailer while watching The Rookie yesterday that took a place in Paradise, CA; LA County
ReplyDeleteI notice a light bulb with wire & poles that wildfire by the strong winds
Before Your Father Finds Us (2025)
ReplyDeleteI saw trailer of Your Father Finds Us
Tahmoh Penikett as Mason
Alexa PenaVega as Sophia
Jaeda Lily Miller as Emily
Lochlyn Munro as FBI Agent
So far the Unwrapping Christmas movies have been family friendly. I’ve seen the first three so far. Be prepared for cheesiness! They have been cute. (And I love Mia’s Christmasy outfits) But for the friendship, as sweet as it is, doesn’t compare with the Wedding Veil Girls.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn’t recommend Lily’s movie if you have younger children watching. Fate is often mentioned and she’s always taking about horoscopes.
DeleteAbigail, Yeah, agree... I wasn't fond of that part of the story, either. Each time she spoke of signs, I tried to think of them as Godwinks, instead. :)
DeleteI do sometime similar Net, when I watch Curious Cateror and the ex husband shows up, I think of him as her brother. Helps me enjoy it more. ;)
DeleteYou know I have to see A Biltmore Christmas!!!
ReplyDeleteJoyce, Fabulous choice! I watched Sunday afternoon, too, and felt completely swept away into the world of old Hollywood charm. "A Biltmore Christmas" is such a delightful whirlwind, and I think it will forever be one of Hallmark's finest and best productions ever!!! :)
DeleteOooh!!! That’s a great one!! Now, I have to see it again. π
DeleteI saw movie trailer of Before Your Father Finds Us while I was watching Faith in Flames: The Nichole Jolly Story
ReplyDeleteI notice Lochlyn Munro’s role as FBI Agent with Alexa PenaVega as Sophia & Jeada Lily Miller as Emily
This isn't related to any movies, but I thought it might help anyone looking for a fan. The Dreo tower fan shown here is a fantastic purchase. I bought this fan this summer, and I believe it is the best all-around fan I have ever had. It is quiet, stylish, and moves a great deal of air.
ReplyDeleteThat's wonderful to hear... thank you for sharing! I thought the fan looked really nice, too. I have a couple from the Dreo brand myself, a white standing model and a tabletop version, and they've both worked really well. I'm so glad to hear you're enjoying yours. Stay cool out there! :)
DeleteI’m not seeing the fan. Could you give a link?
DeleteI sure can! (If you're on a mobile device, you might not see the right section)
DeleteAmazon link for fan: https://amzn.to/45gKuGF
It comes in 4 different color options. :)
Hello everyone!
ReplyDeleteSince it is "Christmas in July" my husband and I have been watching a lot of Christmas movies. Over the last couple of days, we watched the latest "Unwrapped for Christmas" movie, along with "A Biltmore Christmas" and and oldie but goodie "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year". "Unwrapped for Christmas" was just okay. Yes, it was clean. And, the leads had decent chemistry, but I was a bit bored. Plus, all of the signs and horoscope readings should not have been included. Everyone here knows how much I LOVE "A Biltmore Christmas"! In fact, we bought the Blu-Ray version of the movie. It is pure magic! Just beautiful in every single possible way!! Finally, we also own "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year" on Blu-Ray. I bought it years ago, when it was affordable. Now it has gotten expensive. Anyway, that sweet gem of a movie holds a special place in my heart. Henry is so great in it. Warren and Brooke have amazing and believable chemistry. Good storyline and performances. And, Brooke's sweet little boy reminds me so much of my son when he was that age. It is uncanny how much my son looked like him. Seriously, they had the same build, smile, freckles and curly blonde hair. Makes me tear up every time I watch the movie. In a good way of course! There is nothing like experiencing Christmas through the eyes of a child. :-)
Joan, I so enjoyed hearing your recent Christmas movie watch list!
DeleteFirst, I wasn't crazy about the horoscope stuff in Lily's Destiny, either, but like I told Abigail, every time she mentioned signs, I simply thought of them as Godwinks, and after that I didn't mind it as much. But, trust me, I get how you feel.
On a brighter note, so glad you enjoyed "A Biltmore Christmas" again! I bet it's stunning and beautiful on Blu-Ray!
And "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year" (one of my favorites, too!)... is truly another one of Hallmark's finest. Did you know that movie was 1 of 4 Christmas movies made in 2008! The other movies were "Moonlight and Mistletoe," "The Christmas Choir," and "Our First Christmas." I would love if GAF could acquire those three - since Hallmark never airs them any more.
Anyway, I love that you love "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year," too - and how sweet that Brooke's son reminds you of yours when he was little. He's such a cutie-pie! The pace of the movie is always moving and entertaining, never a dull moment. Uncle Ralph & Morgan teaming up to stop the robbery and making Brian believe in Santa is truly the best!!! It's ALL good! Why can't they make them like that any more??? πππ
Joan, that is so wild that your son looked like the little boy! The Most Wonderful Time of the Year is one of my all-time favorites! In fact, it is definitely among my top 3! I think I now know what I am going to watch for my "Mark the 25th" movie tonight!
