Hello, friends!
I hope the sun shines on all of you this weekend! We've had light April showers this week in my area, but then very low temps, and even a little (*whispering*) snow. Yes, SNOW in April! That's not completely unusual for us. It wasn't enough to stick, but always pretty to see at least one more time in the spring!

ReplyDeleteThank you for this lovely comment! God bless you, as well!!!
DeleteWatched the second episode of WHC last night. It was great!! I think WHC has the capability of becoming just as big as WCTH! I love it!
ReplyDeleteJoyce, So good to hear how much you enjoyed WHC Episode 2! I agree - it is sooo wonderful, and I have a feeling I know what part you loved, too! I won't say because I don't want to spoil it for those watching Sunday night, but my, I agree... it was/is incredible!!! :)
DeleteWow, Easter is about 2 weeks away. That came fast! Hope everyone here has a lovely one. Praise God He has Risen!
ReplyDeleteAbigail, I know what you mean. It seems fast, even though Easter is actually later this year. I think, for me, since it's still so cold, it just doesn't feel like Easter, quite yet.
DeleteAnyway, I'm sure the warm weather will be coming soon!
Blessings and Happy Easter to you!!! ✝️
I also hope you have a blessed Holy Week as well. :-) I so love this time of year. Spring is here and the upcoming week will be a celebration of Jesus rising from the dead. I pray all is well with you my friend. And I pray all is well with all of my other friends here on my favorite site on the web. I am looking forward to the final chapter of the "Hearts on the Table" movie series. And, I am so looking forward to the next episode of "When Hope Calls". Not sure what happened, but I haven't seen my comment from last week's episode show up. I really enjoyed the first episode. :-) And, I really enjoyed the 3rd installment of the "Hearts on the Table" movie series.
ReplyDeleteJoan, Thank you so much for both of your wonderful reviews for "When Hope Calls"! So sorry about your first comment not being published. I found it sandwiched between spam comments. Unfortunately, I receive way too many of them. Some are just selling stuff and others are not too nice, if you know what I mean. Anyway, I was glad to see your When Hope Calls and Hearts Around the Table reviews, which can be seen under this post here:

Blessings to you and Happy Palm Sunday!!! :)
Hi Net,
DeleteYou are welcome. So glad to hear you found my reviews! :-)
Thank you so much for posting my reviews.
I am sorry to hear you receive some not so nice comments and that you deal with so many spam comments.
Blessings to you on this sacred Palm Sunday! :-) I really appreciate your blessings to me as well. We had an amazingly beautiful day today. So God is gracious and good.
My husband and I are really looking forward to watching the last "Hearts Around the Table" movie this evening. I can tell the cast had a lot of fun filming the movies. And, I am so looking forward to watching the second episode of "When Hope Calls" sometime this week.
The second episode of When Hope Calls is fantastic! I’m still teary eyed from that ending.
ReplyDeleteThe same for me! Lots of tears... sooo beautiful! It gave me chills!!! :)
DeleteI’m excited to watch When Hope Calls this Sunday night. It’s quickly become my new favorite show. The kids are incredibly cute, and everyone on the show is wonderful. Christie
ReplyDeleteChristie, I wholeheartedly agree! It's a fantastic, talented cast all around! :)
DeleteKiki's Fourth Ingredient is safe, and therefore makes the whole collection safe! Well done, Hallmark. -Maria
ReplyDeleteMaria, Thank you so much for this review and for ALL of your reviews for the Hearts movies! So glad this whole collection is family-friendly! :)
DeleteSo, last night I tried to watch and find out the #1 winner of the Jingle Bell Bracket at 9:00 CST, but instead GAF was showing "Twas the Text Before Christmas from 2023. This is also what their website is showing. Another last minute change from GAF?
ReplyDeleteMark, Yeah, that was the final four in the Jingle Bell Bracket...
DeleteChristmas Under the Northern Lights
Catering Christmas
A Christmas Less Traveled
'Twas the Text Before Christmas
The bracket featured Christmas movies from every year GAF has been doing them.
Another incredible episode! -Maria
ReplyDeleteMaria, I so agree! I've watched When Hope Calls 3x already, and I'm teary-eyed each time at the end!
DeleteI have to say, I really enjoyed the Hearts around the table movies. I just started Kiki's movie, so I do not have a verdict on that, but I am sure I will love it.
ReplyDeleteThese have been such heartwarming movies, how Angie opened her heart and home to all and so many more kids who didn't have loving homes, or didn't have parents that could take care of them. The 4 adult hearts, Josh, Shari, Jenna and Kiki are so wonderful and always there for each other, and for the new fosters Angie takes in. And Angie, just what a delight. So far, I have loved Josh and Ella's story the best.
I also watched When Hope Calls, the 1st episode last week, and it is so GOOOOOD. I never wanted it to end. I love Nora, and how she came there. I wish Lillian wasn't leaving. I am sure cause the actress does Sullivan's Crossing, she is not as available for When Hope Calls. I just love that actress; she is so good. I just cannot wait to see how Nora's relationship develops with the new Mountie and I admit, I am learning the characters as I did not watch season 1 on Hallmark. But the hotel owner makes me laugh so hard, and I do love Maggie and her sweet possible beau. I hope her parents do not convince her he is not good enough.
I wondered how you guys thought of the Hearts stories. Very heartwarming for me.
Sabrina
Sabrina, I'm so glad to hear how much you are loving WHC! I feel the exact same way! I love the way you described all of the characters. The children are all so wonderful and it's good to see so many returning actors from S1. I, too, wish Lillian and Gabriel could both be in it, but they are working on other series. Christopher Russell has done a great job stepping into the shoes of the new Brookfield Mountie and I like Cindy's gentle portrayal of Nora. I can't believe we only 4 eps. left. That's not nearly enough.
DeleteAs for the Hearts Around the Table movies... I've only seen the 1st one, so far, and I LOVED it!!! :)
Hi,
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter week to everyone!
We watched the last "Hearts Around the Table" movie last night. I have to be honest. It was just okay. I was hoping for more. We did like the resolution to Jenna's father story. And, the wedding was lovely. The movie was clean, which was good, but I don't know. We liked the first and the third movie's more.
We also watched the second episode of "When Hope Calls". The ending was very moving. I was also glad the nurse and Sam finally shared their honest feelings. And, I am happy they found Sugar although I felt they spent too much time on that storyline. Felt like the plotline 'plodded' along. But, overall it was a lovely heartfelt episode. I really like Cindy in her role. She is excellent. In my opinion, this is her best role to date. She has a calmness and serenity about her.
Joan, Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the last "Hearts Around the Table" movie. I've only seen the 1st one, but I am planning to watch them all. Good to hear (from you & Maria) it was family-friendly and that you enjoyed the wedding in the final film.
DeleteSo delighted to hear how much you enjoyed When Hope Calls. The way you described Cindy in this role is perfection! I also feel this is an excellent part for her; it makes me think of her tranquil performance in the Godwink Christmas movie.
Hi Net,
DeleteThanks for the reminder of the "Godwink Christmas" movie. I really like that movie and yes, Cindy is excellent in that one. Her performance is tranquil and mesmerizing. Such a great movie.
I don't want to give away spoilers, so I won't say too much but I am soooo disappointed in "When Hope Calls" episode 2. I guess I didn't know that this was the path that they were taking to the future of the show. It's probably old news to most of you. I totally lost interest in the show in one short week. Bummer!
ReplyDeleteJim, Awww... I know... I didn't want Lillian to go, either, but Morgan Kohan is involved in another series, Sullivan's Crossing, and she is busy with that.
DeleteShe did an interview with Hello Magazine back in 2023 where she talked about the possibility of there ever being a When Hope Calls season 2... and she said this...
"I think it's (When Hope Calls) a really beautiful world and I'm so happy for my time in it. I think maybe, at a point, I would [return to the show] but I'm really excited with where my career is taking me now."
Morgan, 29, added: "It was really, really special but I feel like a different person now from when I was filming that show."
So... it sounds like Morgan wanted to return briefly, but wasn't dedicated to continuing the series for multiple seasons.
I did notice the title of the episode was, "So Long, Not Goodbye," so maybe, there is hope that she will return one day.
We Hopefuls have to remain hopeful!!! :)
Thanks for the info, Net. I didn't know that Lillian was leaving also. I know she was talking about visiting Grace in London in episode 1 but I just assumed that she would not go for some reason or if she did, she would come back in an episode or two. I didn't know that they were actually writing her off of the show. Thanks for filling me in. I wouldn't have started watching if I knew she was leaving the show. I was all bummed out when Grace was written off of the show, but I figured Nora was going to fill in the Grace part as the long-lost Aunt and I was so excited until I found this out in this episode 2. To me, Lillian is the heart of the show, and I just can't go on without her ha-ha, let alone Grace. I loved those sisters together and this is too much of a change for me. It really is a great show though and tons of people are ready to move on without the sisters and I understand that but I myself am moving to London to be with the sisters haha.
