Reminder: Facebook Live Event
Something else exciting to look for on Tuesday, February 18th, is Great American Family's Facebook Live Event hosted by Cameron Mathison. The main discussion for this event will be about Season 2 of "County Rescue" and GAF's newest movie, "Someone Like You." Guests will include writer Karen Kingsbury (the movie "Someone Like You" is based on the popular Kingsbury novel of the same title), Sarah Fisher ("Someone Like You" and "When Hope Calls"), and Julia Reilly, Brett Varvel, Riley Hough, Kristin Wollett, and Shari Rigby (all from the cast of "County Rescue").
New Promos:
I also want to share the new promos from Great American Family for "County Rescue" and "When Hope Calls."

Can’t wait to see the new season begin Sunday, April 6th!
If you prefer to stream, you can watch it a few days earlier, April 3rd, on @PureFlix!

"County Rescue" Season 2 premieres Sunday, February 23rd. (Feb. 20th on Pure Flix)
"When Hope Calls" Season 2 premieres Sunday, April 6th. (April 3rd on Pure Flix)
I'm really looking forward to season 2 for both series. I'm especially glad that "County Rescue" will now be a full hour for this season. The episodes were around 30 minutes last year, which seemed to be too short (in my opinion) for a drama-type series. Hopefully, with the extended time, we can learn even more in-depth details about each character.
And as far as "When Hope Calls" goes... well, you all already know how excited I am over this series. It was really lovely to hear a little dialogue in this latest promo.
I am thrilled to see the new schedule. Love late movies.
ReplyDeleteMe, too! I know it's bad, but I'm one who loves to fall asleep with the TV, and this will be perfect! :)
DeleteI’m the same way, so don’t feel bad about it. It’s what works for you. This is way better than Perry Mason. Melissa
DeleteI am glad that movies will be airing from 6pm to 6am. Since no one else is airing movies from 12am to 6am this is a good thing for them.
ReplyDeleteBebe, I totally agree! I hope this will pull in those late-night viewers. There's not a lot of good competition at that time. (also, thank you for your previous comment, too!)
DeleteDoes Great American Family ever put their shows on dvd??
ReplyDeleteAbigail, Some of the early GAF movies are on DVD, like Royally Wrapped For Christmas, Jingle Bell Princess, A Christmas Miracle for Daisy, and others, but none lately, unless they are Pure Flix movies, like Someone Like You.
DeleteI asked my contact at GAF about this and they said they don't have any recent movies on DVD right now, but they hope to release movies on DVD in the future.
So... hopefully we'll see some releases eventually!
Thanks Net, if possible I would like to watch When Hope Calls S2 on dvd, and add it to my WCTH cd case. I love to watch in order through out the year before premieres.
Deletewonderful news
ReplyDeleteIt was nice to see these promotions for County Rescue. I wish they would replay the first season before airing this new season. It’s hard to recommend to friends to watch who didn’t see season one.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, we really liked Brett in Disciples in the Moonlight, so good to see him back. Robert
Robert, I've heard this a lot. Unfortunately, those County Rescue episodes can only be streamed, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did some sort of season 1 recap before the first episode of season 2 plays.
DeleteI’m excited to watch County Rescue and happy to know the episodes are longer. I also wanted to ask a non related question. Is uptv playing the new 4 part movie series The love club Moms?
ReplyDeleteI’m forgot to put my name on the one that is related to The Love Club Mom 4 part movie series. Elizbeth
ReplyDeleteElizbeth, I haven't heard any details, yet, on these movies airing on UPtv, but three are currently airing on their streaming service - UP Faith & Family.
DeleteThe 4th movie (Nila) is coming later this month; I believe I read the 28th.
Amazon has all three of the movies currently listed on their website - to stream through UP Faith & Family.
Reviews for "The Love Club Moms: Tory" are rather mixed. See here:

(be sure to click *details* to read the reviews)
There is only one review up for the second movie, "The Love Club Moms: Jo." Unfortunately, it's rather negative. See here:

Maybe you'll like the movies better than some of the reviewers, though. Not everyone likes the same things. That's what makes us all unique.
If I hear anything about them airing on UPtv, I'll be sure to share. And please let me know if you hear anything, as well.
I was watching Hudson & Rex: Season 7 Episode 6 on YT
ReplyDeleteOne of Diesel’s Nephews as Rex
In Loving Memory of Diesel at the end of the show
Awe... that is such a nice tribute. What an incredible dog Diesel was. I'm sure all of the cast and crew misses him dearly.
DeleteIs Rex Hudson's dog in real life?
ReplyDeleteYes, the dog that played Rex in the TV show Hudson & Rex was a real German Shepherd named Diesel vom Burgimwald. Diesel died in February 2025 after battling cancer.
Explanation
*Diesel was a highly trained working dog who appeared in over 100 episodes of the show. He was trained by Sherri Davis, a professional animal trainer who has worked on many film & television projects. Diesel's training added authenticity to the show and helped him showcase many of the traits of a real-life K9 unit dog.
Diesel was a beloved member of the cast & crew, and he touched the lives of many people. He visited children in hospitals and FaceTimed elderly fans.
Diesel's nephews took over the role of Rex in the show
