Happy Veterans Day!
A very special "Thank You" today to those who have served America and protected our freedom! We know that freedom isn't free; it was bought for an incredible price.
Also, a special thank you to all of you who have had a loved one who has or is currently serving. Please share in comments below if you have (past or present) loved ones who have been in any branch of the military. Many in my own family have served, including my daddy, grandpa, several uncles, and cousins, and I'm so proud of their service.
What a blessing it is to live in America, a country where we are free! I pray we shall always remain that way.

I love these kind of movies. Both my grandfathers on both my parents sides served, so this kind of runs in my blood.
ReplyDeleteHopefully GAF and Hallmark continue to make these kind of movies next year (and does them well). -Maria
First let me say that I am a very proud American! I was very lucky to be born into a military family! My father is/was a Marine and served in both Korea and Vietnam. My brother served in the Air Force. Also one of my grandfathers served in the Army and my brother in law was a Marine. My wonderful husband is a retired Marine after serving over 22 years in the Marine Corps. He served in Vietnam at the very beginning of the war. My mother and I were both Civil Service employees for the Marine Corps. I retired after 37 1/2 years "in" the Marine Corps. I am so happy to have been brought up as a Marine Corps "brat" although it did have it's ups and downs (many moves, father missed my HS graduation, etc) but I wouldn't have traded it for anything! It made all of us kids (six) stronger!
