πŸŽ„ Christmas Is Around The Corner - Happy Three Months 'til Christmas, Everyone! πŸŽ„

Happy *Mark the 25th*:

Oh, what a fun time of year it is! The anticipation of the Christmas season is upon us!

Don't you just love to see the wonder on children's faces and all of their excitement? Actually, I believe we're all children at heart at Christmastime!!!

Christmas day is three months from today, September 25th, and the Christmas movies are coming in less than a month on Great American Family, the Hallmark Channel, and Hallmark Mystery around the clock! Are YOU ready for it?

Here at It's a Wonderful Movie we watch a Christmas movie EVERY month of the year on the 25th day. I call the event *Mark the 25th,* as we Countdown to December 25th, Christmas Day! And YOU are welcome to join in with us! If you plan to watch something Christmassy today or this week, simply share your movie choice in comments below. By the way, I shared my Christmas movie pick at the end of this post.

Christmas on TV:

If you don't get a chance to watch a Christmas movie today, there are excellent options airing on TV this Thursday and Friday...

Thursday, September 26th, on Hallmark Mystery:

The Christmas Secret - 7pm/6c
To All a Good Night - 9pm/8c

Friday, September 27th, on the Hallmark Channel:

The Nine Lives of Christmas - 7pm/6c

Friday, September 27th, on Great American Family:

Bringing Christmas Home - 8pm/7c

My *Mark the 25th* Pick:

With the recent announcement that "When Hope Calls" Season 2 will come to Great American Family in January 2025, I have chosen to watch the beautiful, heartwarming film, "When Hope Calls Christmas." This is one of those movies that brings tears to my eyes and makes me feel good inside every time I watch it. I wholeheartedly recommend this wholesome, family-friendly movie for all ages. Oops, I always want to call it a movie, but technically, it is considered to be two separate episodes in the "When Hope Calls" series. So, whether you think of it as a movie or episodes, it is still a wonderful story!

If any of you would like to watch "When Hope Calls Christmas," it is currently available to watch FREE through Freevee - click here. (Please note: This show is free with ads; which is great that it is free; however, I am not aware of what these ads will be, so viewer discretion is advised on the commercial breaks. The ads may be perfectly decent, but I just don't know.)

What is your Christmas movie pick to *Mark the 25th*? I always look forward to hearing which Christmas movie/show you all chose on this day. Please share in comments below...

May Your Day Be Merry & Bright!

  1. The children are so cute in these pictures, Net. You’re right, lots of good Christmas movies this week, I’ll probably end up watching 9 lives again, for the millionth time on Friday!!

I chose the second Mrs. Miracle Christmas movie to watch tonight. Doris Roberts will always be the best Mrs. Miracle to me.

But you’re really tempting me with WHC Christmas! I probably better give it a watch while it’s still available to watch it free.

    1. Allie B, Awww... I love Nine Lives, too! It's one of those movies I can never watch enough!!! That Ambrose is simply the cutest! :)

100% agree with you on Doris Roberts! She'll always be my favorite Mrs. Miracle, too! :)

Thank you for the link to When Hope Calls Christmas. I told my wife about it, and we’ll try to watch it tonight or tomorrow. Robert

    2. I don't know why. I wish I knew. Maybe they will announce something later on?

  4. Yep, I'm definitely getting into the Christmas spirit, now that Christmas is only three months away and the new movies start next month. Also, I was in our local Walmart yesterday and they have begun setting up for Christmas!

I am in the mood for something funny - actually silly - so I am going with Five Star Christmas for my pick today.

    2. I totally agree, Net! I don't think any actress is better than Bethany when it comes to playing comedy in these Christmas movies!

  5. Happy 25th everyone! I actually just watched “On Strike for Christmas” the other night for the first time, it was cute! So today I will be watching “Welcome to Christmas” with Eric Mabius. I know this storyline has been done over and over but I love it when the girl (normally) gets stranded in a town for the holidays and gets swept up by the Christmas magic. If anyone has any good recommendations like this please let me know 😊

    1. Paula, Oh, I love that storyline, too!!! It makes me think of "Matchmaker Santa" with Lacey Chabert or "Christmas List" with Alicia Witt. Although, in "Christmas List" Alicia's character isn't stranded, but the town is very Christmassy!

    2. Hi Net, I have been trying to watch “Matchmaker Santa” for some time now but can’t find it playing anywhere! I may have to purchase it…..

    1. Denise, Oh, my... I'm so very sorry for your incredible loss this year. I will certainly be thinking of you and your family and keeping you all close in my prayers.

May your happy memories bring you comfort. I'm glad the Christmas movies will soon be here to help to brighten your spirit.

Hugs to you, my sweet friend, Net

  7. Lori Loughlin said back in April that she had some other good projects that are coming up, but none of them have been announced. Anybody find this very strange?

    1. That is VERY interesting. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

    2. Following her release, Lori Loughlin returned to acting with her Great American Family series When Hope Calls in late 2021. She recently emerged before a wider audience, playing a heightened version of herself in HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm's farewell season, which recently concluded.

  8. I didn't get to watch a Christmas movie on the 25th but I did watch The Christmas Secret on the 26th. I can't help myself...every time it's on I have to watch although I have it on DVD and it's on Hallmark+. Love that movie!

    1. Joyce, Me, too! I just love "The Christmas Secret"! I missed it last night, but I'm going to go back and watch it on Frndly tonight. I think it's the most perfect casting ever! Glad you enjoyed your re-watch! :)

    2. One of my all-time favorites too! And I know I have said this before, but the ending of this movie - those last 10 minutes or so, beginning when the gifts arrive at her house - is my favorite ending of any Hallmark movie! So moving!
