Great American Media released some special Christmas movie news today!
Jill Wagner and Paul Greene recently wrapped their Christmas movie together at the end of June, and now you can get all the details of their new holiday movie coming to Great American Family THIS Christmas in the press release below!
PRESS RELEASE:
NEW YORK, NY – July 6, 2023 – Great American Family announced today Jill Wagner (A Merry Christmas Wish, Christmas Miracle For Daisy) and Paul Greene (I’m Glad It’s Christmas, “When Calls the Heart”) are set to star in the new holiday original movie, Bringing Christmas Home, which will premiere as part of the network’s annual Great American Christmas franchise. Great American Christmas returns October 20 with original movie premieres Saturdays and Sundays, and 24/7 holiday movies through the end of the year. Holiday films fans need not wait until October as Great American Christmas in July returns (returned) to air on Great American Family beginning Friday, June 30 (6 p.m. ET).
In Bringing Christmas Home, retired military officer, now Military History professor, Caroline Upton (Wagner) is enlisted to assist antiques store owner, Russell Carlisle (Greene) in finding the family of WWII Army officer Orin Newton before Christmas with the hope of returning precious personal artifacts – Orin’s dress uniform, medals, and a stack of love letters from his beloved Alice who waits for him back home. Epaulettes and insignia provide initial clues, though the search seems to dead end when Caroline discovers Orin was captured and listed as MIA. Caroline and Russell then search the love letters for clues as to what happened to Orin and whether he ever made it home to Alice.
Executive producers of Bringing Christmas Home are Brad Krevoy, Amy Krell, Lorenzo Nardini, Jill Wagner, Paul Greene, Mike Rohl, Jameson Parker, and Susie Belzberg Krevoy. Arielle Boisvert produces. Anthony Epp, Doran S. Chandler, and Bradley Goodman are Supervising Producers. Mike Rohl directs Bringing Christmas Home from an original screenplay written by Casie Tabanou and Alison Spuck.

From the moment I learned that Jill Wagner and Paul Greene were paired for this movie, I've been longing to share this news with all of you! I'm so glad Great American Family finally released this news today.
Based on their warm, friendly, outgoing personalities, I have a feeling Jill and Paul will make a wonderful pairing on screen. Plus, the military aspect of this film sounds ideal for Jill Wagner, who is such a strong supporter of our troops. In fact, as some of you know, Jill named her first daughter, Army.
From the storyline we are given in the press release above, this movie sounds like a heartwarming drama with a touch of history and an intriguing mystery. I'm certainly looking forward to seeing this new Christmas movie, Bringing Christmas Home, on Great American Family this holiday season!

ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! This news makes me insanely happy!! I like everything about this movie. Interesting storyline..military theme...and excellent leads. Plus, we all know this will be a clean movie since it will be airing on GAF. :-) :-) I absolutely can't wait to watch this one.

ReplyDeleteTruly excited for this movie as it has a WWII mystery added to it. Watching these types of movies often has me wondering about the lives of the men back then. My own great uncle was killed in WWII and is laid to rest in France at the Lorraine American Cemetery, he was only 22. I don't think he had a sweetheart at the time, but I've done my own research on his time in the Army and have his picture and story on my desk at work (heirloom frame and photo from the state of Illinois). LOVE the fact that Jill is the lead actress in this Christmas movie. She'll be great in it! ~Debbie
ReplyDeleteDebbie, Thank you for sharing your great uncle's story with us. It breaks my heart to think of all the young men who gave their lives and the ones they left behind, like your family. That is nice that you have those special mementos to honor him by. I'm sure this movie will be a beautiful tribute to all of their memory.

ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful news! Jill Wagner is one of my favorite. She brings so much to every character she portrays. This may be one of the best Christmas movies of season- great story and great actors. It appears GAF is developing movies that will be remembered and watched every holiday season.
