Storyline: Lillian is a careerist businesswoman who has a knack for turning start-ups into successful companies. Her newest endeavor is a company called “Love Subscription”, a gift box subscription service that allows its customers to never have to worry about forgetting that special occasion again. Will Lillian’s past heartbreak conflict with her new assignment, or will her growing feelings for “Love Subscription” founder, Grant, change her heart?

Storyline: Anna (PenaVega) is an account manager for a New York City advertising agency who has the opportunity to land the biggest client of her career -- Durand Diamonds. Much to her chagrin, her boss dispatches her and her colleague Sebastian (Bishop) to the City of Lights to make the pitch and seal the deal. Anna’s by-the-books work style clashes with Sebastian's looser approach and over-the-top ideas that dazzle the client but exceed budget realities that, land them in hot water. When they arrive in Paris to meet with the client, a misunderstanding leads the Durands to believe Anna and Sebastian are married, making them excited about the prospect of having a real-life couple in charge of the creative vision for their brand and forcing them to try to keep up appearances.

Looks like there are plenty of great movie choices this weekend. Hopefully, you'll find some that you will love! All the new rom-coms look sweet to me, so I'm looking forward to watching all three!
I also hope those of you who like football enjoy the big game on Sunday night. During the pre-game festivities, I heard actress and singer Sheryl Lee Ralph (who has starred in several Hallmark movies over the years, including "Christmas at Holly Lodge," "Christmas Comes Twice," etc...) will be singing 'Lift Every Voice and Sing.' (UPDATE: I was reminded that the song Sheryl Lee Ralph will be singing during the pre-game festivities at the Super Bowl, 'Lift Every Voice and Sing,' is also known as the black national anthem. This saddens me because I think we should all be unified, no matter our color, as Americans, under The National Anthem, “The Star-Spangled Banner!”)

ReplyDeleteI was considering recording A Paris Proposal, but after what happened last weekend, I changed my mind. It may be a long time this time around before I try to blindly trust Hallmark like that again with any new movie.
On a brighter note, GAF and UP TV's new movies are definitely on my DVR schedule! -Maria

ReplyDeleteThankfully any concerns PenaVega had about her co-star quickly evaporated once she met Nicholas Bishop (pictured above with PenaVega), who plays her co-worker/love interest Sebastian. "I have to give him serious props," she beamed. "He's such a gem of a human, and so unbelievably professional. He's British yet had to put on a French accent throughout the film. He speaks French, which was so helpful as I had to learn a good chunk of French for some scenes. We got to play and improv and bounce back and forth. So many things in this movie weren't scripted and they kept them in! That's so rare and special."
