❄❄❄❄❄❄❄❄❄❄❄❄

Hope you all have a lovely weekend ahead. I'm looking forward to spending time with family and watching the movies with a winter theme. We are currently living in a snow globe here in the Midwest; we didn't get quite the amount of snow our local meteorologists predicted, but we still received a decent snowfall, nearly 5 inches. The roads were plowed rather quickly, and our winds have been relatively calm until today. Thankfully, it has been nothing like the blizzard we had just before Christmas, but we are hearing more is on the way! Everything is brightly covered now in white; the world looks pure and fresh. It's been the perfect packing snow for snowball throwing, sledding, and snowman building.

On Saturday night, I'm looking forward to seeing Lori Loughlin's big return to TV with Fall Into Winter. This is, of course, her second time on Great American Family, but her first time in a lead movie role on the network. (Her first appearance was in When Hope Calls Christmas) I'm wishing her much success with this new movie; we all deserve a second chance. The Lord certainly gives that opportunity to all of us. Both forgiveness and redemption are healing experiences. The Bible tells us, “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” (Ephesians 4:32)

Please be sure to share which movie (or movies) you are looking forward to watching this weekend in the comments below.

Karen, a follower here, shared a review for the new UPtv movie...
πŸ’• "Finding Love in San Antonio - Family friendly movie. I noticed a comment saying it was about a single mom. I just wanted to let people know that she is a single mom because her husband has died." ~Karen (Thank you, Karen, for sharing this review with us!)

Disclaimer: Please know when I share a movie, this is NOT an endorsement of any of the actors involved, personally or professionally, with their other TV/film projects.

Please note: I have not pre-screened the movies listed above. If you'd like to post a review on whether a film is family-friendly, please share in comments.

Happy movie-watching!
Blessings to you all,
Net

🌟 SHINING HIS LIGHT in the NEW YEAR: πŸŒŸ

"The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you;
He will never leave you nor forsake you.
Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."
~Deuteronomy 31:8

  1. Love Stephen Huszar but not sure how the pairing with Ashleigh Newbrough will work out.

Yet more misery from UPtv - another movie with a previously married single mom.

At least that's only one new one to watch and we can hopefully catch up further with the outstanding Christmas movies - Florence

    1. What's wrong with movies with single parents? I don't mind them, plus some of them are pretty sweet. 1 of my absolute favorite ones is The Color of Rain. -Maria

    2. Maria, Yes! The Color of Rain is such a heartwarming story. Sad, too, of course, but it's also beautiful how these two grieving individuals are brought together.

    3. Thanks. :) Sometimes in life, spouses die too early or leave. Something I've long accepted and don't mind seeing reflected from time to time. -Maria

    4. Don't mind them where both parties have been married before.

But I believe there is only one true love for everyone so where someone has benn happily married before then the "second" love is always going to be second best - Florence

  2. Definitely checking out Fall into Winter!

That new Hallmark movie looks pretty good, so I'll also check that out.

  3. Net- Thanks for update on Winter themed movies. I am looking forward to Fall into Winter with Lori Loughlin. Bible verse says it all on the subject in respect to her.

The When Hope Calls Christmas was a favorite in our home. Let us know if GAC Family picks up the series. It is a wonderful show.

With the cold weather heading our way, I am on my way to fix chili and enjoy a weekend with family.
    Everyone stay warm.

  5. What Winter theme movies that you are looking forward seeing this weekend?

  6. FYI: If you have at least one Hallmark network through your provider, and for some reason, you miss the marathon from Hallmark Drama noted above, check the blue Hallmark TV app (free app and available for Roku, etc.) and see if you can watch those three movies on-demand. They are currently on there. Unfortunately, the movies from the mystery marathons are not.

  7. Decided to skip Love at Glacier Park. I'm hearing that IVF was included in a discussion along with supporting global warming. I prefer to not hear those topics in what are supposed to be 'clean' movies from this channel. -Maria

    1. Maria, you really didn’t miss much. Predictable story line. Did have great scenery but really didn’t like the lack of closure on the sisters attempt to get pregnant. Stated it was last attempt with her husband through intro I think, but from what I saw it just left it hanging after a pregnancy test showed negative. Just my observation.

    2. Maria-I'm confused as to your comment about IVF. Maybe I misunderstood, but what is wrong with that?

      Delete
    3. Maria, I did the same thing. I thought I'd try it, but within the first five minutes, there was IVF talk, and I think at least two times global warming was mentioned, I turned it right off. Plus, I found the female lead abrasive especially in the way she told the hotel manager and her sister that she was "happily" single. And, again, that was in the first five minutes.

    4. Yikes! It's a real shame that stuff like this is fastly becoming the norm with hallmark. What's wrong with just having a clean, normal movie without throwing in uncomfortable stuff or throwing a bon to liberal ideals? -Maria

    5. No kidding! I barely watch HM any more, but I do like Stephen Huszar, but I didn't even see him in it! Although my cable providers carries GAC, they want to charge an extra $25 a month for it, so that's off the table for now.

  8. No idea what's going on with The Way Home, but last night, I saw a Tweet from Chyler Leigh (she's 1 of the producers) that kind of confirms my main suspicion about the show since it was 1st announced: She said that she'll continue to advocate for the alphabet community and that Hallmark's The Way Home is 'listening'. I think we know what this means. (sigh). -Maria

Heather is with her Sister named Riley to meet Eric. Chris has a Daughter named Samantha. Chris asks Heather to stay at Glacier National Park with Chris will have her own office space.

  11. Fall into Winter

“I think viewers will love the love story,” Loughlin said in a behind-the-scenes video (via YouTube) from the movie’s set. “It’s a feel-good film. I think it’s nice to be able to sit back and watch something with the entire family that puts a smile on your face.”

“When two people who have always been looking for something in their life find it in each other, that’s something very romantic,” Tupper said.

  14. I've enjoyed Fall Into Winter so much! It was such a lovely, heartwarming, cosy movie with lots of chocolate:) And to see Lori Loughlin again ... what a present. She is such a talanted actress. Hope to see her more on GAF. And her co-star James Tupper was just a perfect match, they were great together. I'm so happy I've got a chance to watch this really great movie.

  15. I did not feel like Glacier Park is family friendly, maybe for different reasons than others though. I have known Christian couples who struggled with infertility and pursued IVF and I do not want to judge that. However, there were several scenes (I only made it half-way) that were NOT anything I would want my kids to see, nor myself. Way too much "inuendo" and massage scenes...just not wholesome in my opinion.

  16. Sorry I'm not commenting on a movie, I'm just Wondering when "when calls the heart " will be coming back, If it is? Thank you.

    1. When Calls the Heart is coming back! I can assure you of that. Season 10 has already been filmed by the cast.

I think most Hearties are anticipating for WCTH to return sometime this spring; that is the assumption at this point since Hallmark has not released an official start date.

I'm thinking we might hear news this month - stay tuned! :)

    2. When Calls the Heart: Season 10 will air in April 2023 when The Way Home: Season 1 is done

I’m not so sure about The Ride is after WCTH or before WCTH

      Delete
    3. I think many of us were thinking this Spring, but Hallmark announced today that WCTH will premiere this Summer, late July.

  17. LOVE AT GLACIER PARK
This was very mediocre very predictable movie. I was not a fan of Stephen Huszar's character who was really antagonizing the main female character's occupation. I get that he had a history, but it was quite disrespectful to her that he wouldn't hear her out at all in the beginnig. I couldn't believe the romance storyline. I'm not convinced that a romance could happen when you disrespect someone's occupation. I am not sure why the IVF storyline was frowned upon by many reviewers here. I  personally don't have issues with it, but it was odd that the storyline was brought up so many times yet lacked resolution in the end. If you haven't watched this, I would just miss it and not waste your time.

    FALL INTO WINTER
This was enjoyable and quite a delight from GAC. Of course it is family friendly. Lori Loughlin was wonderful. I'm looking forward to see more of her!
