Great American Family Adds Bonus Movie to their Christmas Schedule!

UPDATE:
PLEASE SEE UPDATED INFORMATION
AT THE END OF THIS POST!

Along with their 18 new Christmas movies, Great American Family has added a bonus movie to their list titled: "Christmas is Calling." You can see it in the image above. It is set to air on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at 8pm/7c.

As I write this, Great American Family doesn't have this information on their web-site, yet, so I did a basic on-line search and came up with (drumroll not needed) ...nothing. So, I looked at another on-line TV guide, and they have a movie listed in that same time-slot on GAF titled: "Christmas Lovers Anonymous." This movie I was able to find easily; it is from Nicely Entertainment, which is a production company Great American Family often works with; therefore, this must be it - with a different title!

While this movie, "Christmas Lovers Anonymous" (potentially "Christmas is Calling"), is new to me, an Anonymous person left the sweetest review on IMDB and I just had to share an excerpt from it...

"...Go into this movie with a smile on your face and you will leave with an even bigger one. Watching this movie, versus a high-budget A-list Christmas movie is the difference between buying Christmas gifts from the nice grandma at your local antique store versus buying consumerist junk at your country-wide, soulless department store. It may not be what they want, but it's what you want them to have, and they will love it. Just say "yes" to Christmas Lovers Anonymous." ~Anonymous

Hopefully, this movie will be as delightful as that review.

Speaking of bonus movies, we've also been noticing that Great American Family has been adding some more acquired films to their 24/7 schedule. Most of these movies previously aired on UP or ION, but one of these newly acquired movies airing next week, "A Christmas Wish in Hudson," is a new TV premiere. "A Christmas Wish in Hudson" will air at an early time, at 8am/7c. on Thursday, October 27, 2022.

We will definitely have to keep a look out for more movies like this in the Great American Family Christmas schedule.

Stay tuned for future updates and possible additions!

Joyous Blessings! Net

UPDATE: "A Christmas Wish in Hudson" has been removed from the Great American Family schedule this week. Don't know, yet, if this temporary or permanent. I thought the early morning showing was a bit off for it's first time premiering on the network. So, perhaps, they are planning to give it a future primetime airing. We'll see.

And "Christmas is Calling" is now officially titled "Christmas Lovers Anonymous" and will premiere Sunday, October 30th!

  1. Lifetime is notorious for retitling movies. Hallmark is known for rescheduling premiere dates, especially at Christmastide. What annoys me is their coming out with a schedule of repeats, then occasionally changing the repeat schedule midstream. Most of this doesn't bother me much because I can usually adjust my watch schedule.

Most annoying, however, is their dropping the final scheduled repeat altogether when I haven't had an opportunity to watch an earlier repeat (usually due to competition when so many channels are adding to the so-called Christmas movie glut) causing me to miss it altogether. I've seen this happen on Hallmark, UP, and GAF. At least one I've missed will typically come around again in a subsequent year.

  3. Hmmmm..........interesting.

There are 4 reviews giving it scores of 2 tens and 2 eights plus one with no score and yet the overall rating is a low 5.4.

    Makes me suspicious - Florence

  6. I watched A Dogwalker’s Christmas Tale (2015) on GAC/GAFAM is family friendly about spoiled college student name Lucinda “Luce” walks a developer’s dog named Hank & is delighted when she sees the plans to build a salon a nearby dog park. When Luce meets a handsome dog walker named Dean Stanton at the park, she tries to put aside selfish ways to help him to save the park.
