September 22, 2022: I'm delighted to share today that Great American Family will once again be working with actress, Lori Loughlin (Garage Sale Mysteries, Full House, When Calls the Heart, etc...), in an upcoming movie in 2023! It brings my heart so much joy to see Lori making movies again. I'm truly grateful Great American Family has welcomed Lori so warmly to their channel; however, her first starring role on the network will have a chilly theme, since it is set during the Winter season. Last year, you may recall, Lori had a co-starring role on Great American Family in When Hope Calls Christmas as her beloved When Calls the Heart character, Abigail Stanton.

PRESS RELEASE VIA GREAT AMERICAN MEDIA:

LORI LOUGHLIN
SET TO STAR IN
GREAT AMERICAN FAMILY
ORIGINAL MOVIE
FALL INTO WINTER

Romantic Comedy Marks Loughlin’s First for Network

NEW YORK, NY – September 22, 2022 – Great American Family today announced Lori Loughlin (When Hope Calls, When Calls the Heart) is set to star in Fall Into Winter, which premieres in January, 2023 as part of the network’s annual winter programming event. The film, Loughlin’s first romantic comedy for Great American Family, follows her successful reprisal of the role of Abigail Stanton in When Hope Calls Christmas last holiday season. Fall Into Winter begins production October 23.

“Lori is a genre-defining star that I have had the honor to call a close friend and collaborator for more than 15 years,” said Bill Abbott, President and CEO of Great American Media. “We have a shared vision for creating meaningful and memorable movies that resonate with our passionate fans, and I look forward to welcoming her back to Great American Family to anchor our 2023 winter programming slate.”

In Fall Into Winter, Keely (Loughlin) is aghast when her brother sells his half of their family-owned, upscale candy shop to his best friend from high school (and her nemesis, Brooks) forcing a sudden urgency to find connection and common ground. Keely has been hurt before; change is her new nemesis. Brooks’ past is a mirror of Keely’s. He, too, has a fortress around his heart. Fate brings the pair together. Might it also offer new beginnings?

Fall Into Winter is executive produced by Brad Krevoy and Susie Belzberg Krevoy.

David Anselmo produces for HP Into Winter Productions, Inc. Fall Into Winter is written by Cara J. Russell.

  3. I'm over the moon excited for Lori's second chance! I hope she receives high reviews. It probably would happen, but I would love it if they continued Garbage Sale on GA Family. I praise God for this! She has been in my prayers for so long now.

  5. So glad to see her back! "When Calls the Heart" has been a disaster ever since she left. It makes me wonder if she was one of the writers for it, as well as acting in it.

    1. Don't know if she wrote any of them, but I believe she did produce a bunch.

  6. It should be a high caliber movie with the production team.

  7. Like Florence, I truly respect everyone's opinions. That said, I'm not excited for her return. Yes, she paid her dues, that she most certainly did, but I just think back to what she actually did, and having recently gone through the college application process myself, well, I just don't know. I don't have GAC anyway, but I suppose if Martha Stewart made a comeback, Lori shouldn't be denied one either.
