*Christmas in July* is the perfect time to find out this Christmas movie news! Looks like Hallmark is getting into the Christmas spirit - on the very same day they premiered Christmas last year, October 22nd! Only last year, October 22nd was a Friday, and this year it will land on a Saturday!
According to the poster (seen above), shared by the John Parkinson Agency, "Jolly Good Christmas," starring Will Kemp ("Christmas Waltz") and Reshma Shetty ("Royal Pains") will most likely be the Hallmark Channel's first Christmas movie premiere for their Countdown to Christmas 2022! It's still pretty early, though, so programming plans could easily change. Be sure to stay tuned for updates!
Here's what we know about "Jolly Good Christmas," via Hallmark's earlier press release:
"David (Will Kemp) is an American architect who recently moved to London for a prime opportunity in a prestigious firm. With just three days before Christmas, he has yet to purchase a gift for his girlfriend, who also happens to be the boss' daughter. While out shopping, David crosses paths with Anji (Reshma Shetty), a professional shopper, who raises an eyebrow over his choice of a gift card. When David and Anji end up crossing paths again, he decides to hire her in the hopes of finding just the right gift. Thanks to a series of unexpected events, David finds himself on a wild adventure across Jolly Old London as Anji helps him search for the perfect present."
As I've mentioned before... thus far, I've enjoyed all of Will Kemp's previous Hallmark movies, and I'm hoping this new film is also a good one! Also, I like the artwork of this poster for "Jolly Good Christmas;" it's colorful and festive, and it gives a great deal of detail about London, with the sketch of the cityscape and legendary Big Ben in the background and the obvious red telephone booth in the foreground of the image decked out with a Christmas wreath and red bow. Do you like the new poster, too? Please share your take on this movie in comments below...

Despite the majorly disappointing ending I can't see Will Kemp ever being able to match Christmas Waltz - Florence
ReplyDeleteI adore Will Kemp so will definitely be watching. Hoping there is some dancing in it as he is such a wonderful dancer too!
ReplyDeleteI missed watching this one during its first run, but saw it last night. It is NOT family friendly as it prominently features two homosexual men who openly celebrate their twelve years of marital bliss and give Will's character relationship advice based on their courtship experience. Good grief.
