πŸŽ‚'Cake Boss' Buddy Valastro to Star in Lifetime Christmas Movie!πŸŽ‚

Cake Boss Star, Buddy Valastro,
and his family will be creating new content
and a Christmas movie for Lifetime!

I guess if you can't stand the heat, you get out of the kitchen and make a Christmas movie! (just a little baking humor!)

Here are the details via A+E's press release:

"A+E Networks, the global leader in nonfiction content, has forged a multi-platform creative partnership with TV star and pioneer of the custom cake movement, Buddy Valastro. The pact includes more than 60 hours of original programming, including the development of multiple new series and holiday specials produced by A+E's factual division, Six West Media, in association with Cakehouse Media. Additionally, Valastro and his family will star in an upcoming Lifetime Holiday Movie.

Valastro will serve as an executive producer on all projects, which will be produced for A+E Networks portfolio of brands and distributed worldwide by A+E."

My *Quick* Take:

For many seasons, I watched the Cake Boss series on TLC as Buddy Valastro and his incredibly talented team created the most unique and outlandish cake designs. Time and time again, I was amazed by what they were able to create in their little kitchen at Carlos Bakery in Hoboken, NJ. The sky was the limit, it seemed! I also enjoyed the family element to the show and seeing how close Buddy was to his wife, children, mother (she has since passed away), four sisters, brother-n-laws, etc... They have a big, beautiful Italian famiglia, and I'm looking forward to hearing even more details on their upcoming Lifetime Christmas movie! How 'bout you? Did you ever watch the Cake Boss series? Are you curious about this new Christmas movie? Please share your thoughts in comments below.

Happy Christmas in July! Net

  1. Hey Net, I watched Buddy vs Duff, and was always a big Duff fan. But then I saw a lot of Duff politics, and I started finding myself rooting for Buddy the last few seasons. I used to think Buddy was very cocky, but i started to see he is rooted in family, and long standing traditions of his family bakery and I began to love him. I love Buddy's team and his bakers on the show from his bakery. I will definitely watch this movie.

    1. Sabrina, Oh yes, Buddy is all about his family. I know taking over the bakery after his father's death was a huge deal for him. It basically supports their whole extended family, so I know he felt a great responsibility to make it successful. I watched a lot of the early years of Cake Boss and some of the episodes later on. But, yeah, Buddy has a big heart for the family and the bakery. I sure hope his Christmas movie is a good one! I wonder if they got the idea from the Pioneer Woman doing her Christmas cameo last year?

    1. Abigail, I remember that accident with his hand - that was really scary. I know it's not 100%, but I think he said it's like 95% better now. I'm so glad he was able to go back to doing what he loves... he has such an incredible gift! :)

    2. We bought cannoli and cupcakes. I received a free mug with my purchase. Everything was delicious.

We had gone to Hoboken to see my oldest's college lacrosse team play a school there, the parking garage wasn't too far from the bakery, and we stopped in before coming home.

  5. I love Buddy Valastro---have watched his shows since he first came on. I decorated (used to actually, arthritis doesn't let me stand or get on my knees that long-did several wedding cakes in my time) cakes for many years and I know the detail that is involved. I still was always amazed at his cakes! Am always watching out for any new show that he appears on. As for Duff, I have watched him through the years also and he makes some over the top creations which is amazing. I too have Buddy vs Duff on my regular recordings but I have a fondness more for Buddy. I watched the year that he had a competition and the winner went to work for him in his storefront. He is definitely a family man and you can always see his good heart!
