Hope you'll be able to enjoy one of these Christmas movies. My pick from the ones Hallmark is airing this week and weekend is "NEXT STOP, CHRISTMAS." I love all of the 'Back to the Future' references, plus Lyndsy Fonseca is such an expressive, terrific leading actress. I hope to stop whatever I'm doing and watch.
What is your Christmas movie pick? Please share in comments below.
If anyone can explain the ending of Next Stop Christmas please feel free.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great movie but I haven't a clue how they got to the ending! - Florence
I can't explain the ending, but I still love it!
DeleteFlorence, I think she had an out of body experience. If you remember, when she woke up on the commuter train where she began, the other passenger confirmed she had not moved from that spot. She was allowed to go back in time and change the things that needed to be changed.
DeleteIn real life, I do not believe in this, and yet, out of body experiences definitely happen. For example, my husband had open heart surgery. He said he left his body and went to heaven during the operation. He was young at the time, but to this day, he still says he will not be afraid to die. He did not want to come back but he said I would not let him go. He cries when he talks of this. This is very different from the movie.
Florence and Anon... Same here! I love it, as well, even if that time-travel ending baffles me! :)
Deletekitkat, Oh my... that must've been quite an experience for your husband. Eternity is a beautiful promise for those of us who believe. Thank you for sharing that incredible story with us.
DeleteBy coincidence, I watched Next Stop, Christmas last night as my Mark the 25th movie. Although like most time-travel movies it has its holes if you look too closely, I really enjoy it, and it is mostly due to Lyndsy Fonseca's performance. This was one of my favorite Hallmark Christmas movies from last year.
ReplyDeleteMark 25, I totally agree! Lyndsy's performance is what truly makes this movie great with all of her fantastic expressions. Plus, she's constantly in movement; you feel like she's truly in the moment, in this character, and perplexed as to what to do next. I sure hope she has another good one this Christmas! :)
DeleteMaking my way through all the GAC Christmas movies right now. Up next is "Christmas Time is Here".
ReplyDeleteJim, I hope you enjoyed "Christmas Time is Here," I recall it being a sweet movie!
Deletelove Christmas movies!
ReplyDeleteIs there going to be a choosing of our favorite Christmas movies from last year? We don't have GAC and was hoping to get some idea of the good ones. Maybe we could buy them if they come out on dvd.
ReplyDeleteYes, the It's a Wonderful Movie Awards are coming soon! Stay tuned! :)
DeleteWhile I’m watching Next Stop, Christmas when I notice Christmas in July will start on July 1, 2022 with 3 new Christmas movies!!!
ReplyDeleteNext Stop, Christmas is supposed to be Hallmark Hall of Fame.
Bummer, Hallmark hasn’t doing Hallmark Hall of Fame last several years ago in 2020 & 2021. Will they doing Hallmark Hall of Fame this year 2022?
Yes! We will have 3 all new Christmas movies in July! That is really big news! I'm rather surprised they released this information in their new commercial and not in a press release.
DeleteAlso, great question regarding the HHOF movie. No word, yet, on the next installment. They've really scaled back in recent years on doing those.
Wow! What a great feature picture. She's so pretty in that red dress.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed watching these Christmas movies over Memorial Day weekend. I hope this becomes a new tradition!
ReplyDeleteAllie B, Me, too! It was fun to see them again - in double features. I only wish they could have ended it with, at least, one of their patriotic Christmas movies. I think that would've been a nice touch and tribute for our military.
DeleteHopefully, they will still do a patriotic tribute around July 4th, as they usually do.
