Exciting news from GAC Media! Jen Lilley has signed a new deal (via Deadline news) with GAC Family for FOUR all new original premieres over the next TWO years!
Jen Lilley is well known to movie fans for her work on the Hallmark Channel in Eat, Play, Love, Mingle All The Way, Harvest Love, Winter Love Story, USS Christmas and more! She recently starred in GAC Family's Royally Wrapped for Christmas and Hallmark Channel's Where Your Heart Belongs.
Also mentioned at Deadline, is that "Jen Lilley joins other fellow Hallmark Channel veterans Danica McKellar and Trevor Donovan, who have both signed multi-picture deals with GAC Family." Wouldn't it be wonderful if Jen and Trevor worked together again? They had such great chemistry in USS Christmas!
On a personal note, Jen Lilley shared in an Instagram post on October 29th, 2021, that she and her husband, Jason, and their three children, are expecting a new baby into their family. In late November, they announced with a gender reveal, the new addition is going to be a baby girl! The couple currently have two sons and one daughter.
Jen Lilley is going to be extra busy with her family and creating new movies, plus her work with her organization, Christmas Is Not Cancelled, which gives back to those in need, especially children, with Toys for Tots and school supplies. It's obvious that Jen Lilley is a woman of deep faith who has a heart of gold and loves giving to others.
I'm personally delighted to hear this news; I can't wait to see what characters and stories Jen brings to GAC Family, where their tagline is... "stories well told".
Will that mean that Jen Lilley will no longer work for Hallmark?
ReplyDeleteThis is the best news! We love watching Jen Lilley!
ReplyDeleteYay! This is fantastic news! She's my favorite. And it would be great to see her do more films with Trevor Donovan. I just loved USS Christmas (Hope to see a sequel one day)
ReplyDeleteSo happy to hear her blessed news. How sweet a baby girl. I pray it is a easy pregnancy for her and that they will both be healthy.
A lot of actors only do 2 movies a year and if Jen Lilley has other heavy work commitments it's hard to see that she might have the time to also work with Hallmark.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what the legal position would be but I can't see that GAC would stipulate that she could only work with them.
However who knows? - I'm getting the feeling that there is definitely a little bit ofcompetition between GAC and Hallmark.
Jen's movies are very hit and miss - it depends on the roles she's given.
She does seem to have a number of detractors who follow her about giving bad reviews but she also has many admirers too which means that the reviews are always mixed.
However, in the case of Where Your Heart Belongs the sheer weight of poor reviews can't be denied.
I think we all liked USS Christmas and I pesonally rated Snowkissed although I seem to remember many here didn't.
Far and away though for me her best movie ever was Mingle All The Way with Brant Daugherty - it was a laugh from beginning to end and also so romantic and is one of my all-time favourite Christmas movies - Florence
Where Your Heart Belongs was not a favorite of mine. Jen's character was a bit selfish. She played the part well, though. I loved A Royally Wrapped Christmas.
DeleteI definitely feel that there is competition between GAC and Hallmark.
Yes, I heard that too yesterday, and I am so glad...she is such a sweet and kind person, she belongs on GAC. But that picture - does anyone else think that it doesn't even look like her??
ReplyDeleteAww, the picture. She didn't seem herself. Bad makeup job , I guess.
DeleteHM allowed their actors to work ANYWHERE. Once an actor signs with GAC, they are committed for the length of the contract
ReplyDeleteOh dear, I'm disappointed with that news.
DeleteI hope that doesn't have repercussions for the proposed continuation of Mystery 101 with Jill Wagner having her last movie shown on GAC.
With more and more Hallmark "regulars" appearing on GAC this must be why Hallmark is blooding so many new faces - Florence
Ok I like Jen lilley but I. An not sure this woman is her.

ReplyDeleteDon't know if you heard, but Bob Saget, who played the beloved Danny Tanner on the Full House show, sadly passed away 2 days ago in his sleep. He was the heart(& hugger) of the show and he will be missed. My heart goes out to his loved ones and the Full House cast, who were more like family members to him. I pray for comfort for them, that one day they can remember him with smiles.
Candace Cameron Bure posted this:
“Oh, Bob. Why’d you have to leave us so soon? We are all family, but you were the glue. The sticky, messy, squishy, sweet, lovable glue,” she captioned a photo of herself hugging the comedian. “My childhood is wrapped up in you, my formative teenaged years and the rest of adulthood. You taught me to feel deeply at such a young age. You were never afraid or ashamed to share your emotions, to cry, to love, to laugh and say it out loud. We’ve always been so deeply connected since the day we met when I was 10 years old. You weren’t just like a father, but one of my closest friends in life.”
Abigail, Yes, it was unbelievable to hear this very sad news. My heart goes out to his family and various cast members like Candace. I grew up watching "Full House" every Friday night on ABC's TGIF. It was rather shocking to hear this, especially at his age; he was such an active guy. Very, very sad.
DeleteLooking forward to her movies.
ReplyDeleteNet, Do you have a problem on your blog of Jessica & Jesse - starred on Harmony from the Heart page by saying blogger error?
ReplyDeleteI haven't noticed any issue. Do you know the link you were having trouble with?
DeleteYou should be able to see details on the upcoming movie "Harmony From the Heart" here:

Hi Net,
ReplyDeleteI didn't find any other way to ask you something on your website so I'm commenting here. Do you have any advice as to how to find songs played in Hallmark movies? I've tried to put in lyrics and email Hallmark and nothing has worked. You have helped me a few times in the past. Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you :)
I'm always happy to answer your question and help if I can. Finding songs can sometimes be easy or impossible. If the movie is older and available on DVD, you can typically find the song title in the movie credits. Unfortunately, they don't usually show the credits on TV at the end of the movie enough to see this information.
DeleteAs for searching... I do what you do, too. I put lyrics in a search and try to find a song that way.
Another suggestion... Sometimes, an artist will announce their song is in a movie - so if you search the "movie title + (the actual word) song" - sometimes, you can find a particular song from a movie that way.
Hope these ideas are helpful to you! :)
Hi Net,
DeleteI miss those days when they would roll all the credits with the song names at the end! Now they don't even do that! And I can't believe that customer service at Hallmark tells me they don't even know the names of the songs either. Your ideas are very helpful. I will try them! Thank you so much Net for all your help and a really fun and wonderful website!
Was Bob Saget married and did he have children?
ReplyDeleteChris, Bob had three daughters with his first wife, Sherri Chambers. He was currently married to Kelly Rizzo.
DeleteThe same as Danny Tanner in Full House. Danny Tanner had 3 daughters in Full House by the way Danny Tanner was played by Bob Saget.
DeleteYes, and he was very close to his Full House daughters and considered them like his own.
DeleteFor years, Hallmark has been the go-to place to catch some of your favorite television stars in light family-friendly fare, especially when it comes to Christmas movies. The tide seems to be shifting, as more entertainment entities like Netflix and GAC Family have taken on the genre, though, and a few stars have jumped from the channel to those places as a result. The latest Hallmark staple to do so is Jen Lilley, as she recently inked a deal with GAC. While many fans were happy about the news, one former fan had an issue with Lilley’s career move and claimed they wouldn't be watching her any longer. With this, the Days of Our Lives alum took to the web to defend her decision
