Today, on this Veteran's Day, I want to once again, say thank you to all of our service men and women, past and present. As I've shared with you all before, my daddy is a veteran and I'm so proud of his service in the Army, along with my grandpa, several uncles, and cousins who served in various branches: the Marines, Army, and Navy. Please share in comments below if you have loved ones who have been in any branch of the military. We are incredibly grateful for their service and the freedom we enjoy today.

I pray we shall always remain that way.
Does anyone on this board knows anybody who was in the Military?
ReplyDeleteThank you, Net and Happy Veterans Day to our vets.

Happy Veteran's Day to all! My dad is a retired Navy Chaplain.
ReplyDeleteJennifer R., That is wonderful! What an incredible service to our country and to those who he served with - providing such wonderful guidance of faith. My uncle is also a retired Navy Chaplain, but he still finds way to work with the military in communications. I'm sure you and your family are all quite proud of your father's service. Please thank him - on behalf of myself and my family.
DeleteNet, 4 of my brothers-in-law are veterans. Two of them lost their hearing from bombs exploding. I have nephews in active duty. I was remembering last night, while watching USS Christmas, how emotional one of my brothers-in-law became, over a Veterans Day card I sent him one year. It said "Thank you for your services in Vietnam". He said no one ever thanked him for that.
ReplyDeleteVeterans really appreciate receiving cards. My sisters and sisters-in-law have told me how much these cards have meant to them.
My prayer is for God to return us to one Nation, under God, where our faith is respected, and freedom rings forever. Land of the free and home of the brave. May God bless America again!
Thank you Net for honoring our veterans.
kitkat, Oh my goodness... please, please thank your brother-n-laws for their incredible service. And your nephews, too. I'm so sorry to hear two of your brother-n-laws were injured in the line of duty. I know there are so many like them today. My heart aches to think of all of those men in Vietnam who fought valiantly for their country, but were treated so badly on their arrival home. That is terrible. I am so grateful for their service and our freedom today.
DeleteI'm praying along with you for our country! We need revival across America now - more than ever. God bless America, indeed! :)
