Charlie Brown is Back! See The Great Pumpkin, Thanksgiving and CHRISTMAS this Year on Network TV! DETAILS HERE:

"ISN'T THERE ANYONE WHO KNOWS
WHAT CHRISTMAS IS ALL ABOUT?"

The Christmas season just isn't the same if I don't hear Charlie Brown say those words when he's frustrated over the fact that noone is taking his direction at their nativity pageant. And then, of course, dear sweet Linus recites the scriptures from Luke 2 from his heart...

Even though ABC sold their television rights to Apple TV+, a deal has been made to televise our beloved, favorite Charlie Brown holiday specials again this year on PBS and PBS Kids, including:

(all times below are Eastern Standard Time)

*It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown - October 24, 2021 at 7:30PM

*A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving - November 21, 2021 at 7:30PM

*A Charlie Brown Christmas - December 19, 2021 at 7:30PM

Thank goodness they weren't blockheads and blocked us out of seeing our favorite Peanuts Gang holiday specials on TV this year! However, if you want to watch the Charlie Brown specials any time, they are available on Apple TV+ (with a paid subsription) or you can purchase the whole set on DVD! (I've done the latter - because you never know IF they might not be available one day!)

I think one of the main reasons we are receiving this special gift on TV this year - is because there is an all new holiday special premiering exclusively on Apple TV+ on Friday, December 10, 2021 titled “For Auld Lang Syne,” which is a new Peanuts Gang celebration to ring in the New Year. I have a feeling there will be some promotion for it during these airings on PBS.

I sure hope the new Charlie Brown cartoon evokes all the same wonder and innocence of the original series. There is just something so pure, wholesome and heartwarming about Charlie Brown, Linus, Snoopy, Sally, even Lucy, and the whole Peanuts Gang - created by late cartoonist Charles M. Schulz. Watching these beloved characters returns us back to our childhood for a few minutes; it's like being wrapped in a warm blanket on cold winter day. (Preferably, one just like the one Linus carries!)

I hope watching Charlie Brown brings to mind wonderful memories for you - and may we all create new, special moments and memories when we watch again this year!

A special thank you to Jim and Anonymous others who shared this news with me! You know me so well - and how much I adore these timeless specials.

Joyous Blessings to You All! Net

  2. Net, so happy to see this. I do have the DVD's but there is something special about knowing others will be able to watch these movies. If possible, I will be watching when these are shown.

  3. A Charlie Brown Christmas has become my favorite over the years. Something about them skating in the beginning with that wonderful "Christmas Time is Here" music playing that causes an emotional eruption in me. As a matter of fact all the music that comes from that show brings me to tears. I actually listen to that music CD throughout the whole year, EXCEPT for January. That is the only month that I can't listen to it because it crushes me.

I also love how they boldly speak scripture about Jesus Christ, in the show. I am shocked that it is still allowed on TV with this new age.

I do love all the Peanuts/Charlie Brown shows. Looking forward to the Great Pumpkin coming on soon. All these shows sweep me back into the past and make me tingle with warm nostalgic feelings. Ahhh, I'm sure no drug can compare to this sweet innocent transcendental feeling.

    1. Aww, Jim, you always put it so beautifully. Your comment fills me up with nostalgic thoughts of the past. Bless you! I love that intro with the ice skating, too - and the music softly in the background and the Peanuts Gang cheerfully singing: "Christmastime is here!" Everything about it is beautiful. I love that Charlie Brown finds redemption in the end and of course, as you said - the true meaning of Christmas, Jesus, is celebrated!!!

Thank you, again, for giving me a tip on this! So happy to share this Christmas news with everyone! :)
