ReplyDeleteChris, Happy Easter week to you!
DeleteNet, I am with you in rooting for Nathan to totally win Elizabeth's heart....I think he already has too and that she just has to trust her heart. But I understand her reluctance with him being a Mountie....I know from experience being married to a Marine and having had a father that was a Marine. I just think she fits more in the lifestyle of a guy in jeans and shirts (with suspenders) than a guy that is always in a suit!
ReplyDeleteJanet, Thank you for sharing you're also on Team Nathan! So glad to know you feel the same way. I can't imagine how hard that would be for someone to lose one love and fall in love with someone else who is also a Mountie. After the whole oil rig explosion and Lucas being involved with that, I thought she might see that he, too, could put his life at risk, sometimes, but that never seemed to be an issue.
DeleteWhat a wonderful service your husband & father did for our country. I'm sure you must be so proud. That's how I feel about my Father; he was in the Army. Thank you to your family and to you - for their service and your sacrifice of time spent apart.
BTW, back to WCTH - I Love your mention of Nathan in the suspenders. He is just too cute when he's wearing those.
Sometimes I feel like if Elizabeth can't decide, she doesn't deserve either of them.
Thank you for your comment, Janet! Blessings to you on this Easter week!
Looking forward to Don't Go Breaking My Heaert - Italia Ricci is a good actress.
ReplyDeleteHappy Palm Sunday weekend Net! Hope your Holy Week is a peaceful one, we are sure hoping for one too. I do reviews for Up TV and began asking weekly for them to please show their Holy Week programming as they had been. For them to take a brave stand, be a light, inspire and bring hope. Boy, are they delivering. I strongly suggest The Chosen, though not all episodes are appropriate for young children. Parents may want to dvr them and preview.
ReplyDeleteAs for Mountie in. Jeans, shirts and suspenders vs suit man, I am as conflicted as Elizabeth on this one!
Happy Easter week to you! I agree... it is wonderful to see how UPtv is bringing the true meaning of the Easter holiday to their viewers this week. I'm so grateful they continue to do this.
DeleteI was hoping UPtv would also play "God's Not Dead 2," with Melissa Joan Hart and Jesse Metcalfe... but they didn't. Maybe someday. I've seen it and it is so good. I've also enjoyed the third movie in the series.
Also, Love your comment on WCTH - that is so cute! Poor Elizabeth has two men fighting over her. What's a girl to do???
Seriously, though... Thank you so much for your comment and for encouraging UPtv to continue their religious programming! Bless you!!!
Happy Palm Sunday and Happy Easter!

Denise, Happy Easter week to you, as well! ✝ π

Three years in the making
I’ve been thinking about Hope Valley needing a regular minister. It seems like it’s mentioned but nothing changes there. I liked your synopsis of the characters. Hope Fiona returns soon!
ReplyDeleteAnna, Thank you! Plus, I'm so glad you feel the same way about the minister. It's been such a long time since anyone has filled that role regularly.
DeleteHappy Easter week to everyone here at It’s a Wonderful Movie!
ReplyDeleteThank you! ✝ Happy Easter to you and all who visit here; I am blessed by everyone who visits.
DeleteMaybe it was just me but I just couldn’t get into Don’t go Breaking My Heart. Anyone else feel the same?
ReplyDeleteI did not watch it. I really liked the last UPtv movie though that was shown a couple of weeks ago.
DeleteWCTH
ReplyDeleteWhat’s a brilliant back and forth conversation in between Nathan & Carson! So well written
Yes, it was outstanding writing! Kudos to the writer(s).
DeleteAgree, Namegirl... it was a fantastic scene with Nathan & Carson! Plus, I enjoyed seeing two characters interact that we don't normally see together.
DeleteNathan & Allie’s conversation while riding horses π
ReplyDeleteAllie: Do you still like Mrs. Thornton
Nathan: Sure, Yeah
Allie: I mean Do you like, like her
Nathan: Alright, why do u ask me about Mrs. Thornton but I Can’t ask you about Robert, huh
Allie: Uncle Nathan, You didn’t answer my question
Nathan: No. I didn’t but you know what. I had an idea we’re not going fishing
Allie: Really, What is it
Nathan: If you gotta catch me to find out
Allie kept asking her Uncle Nathan about Mrs. Thornton
Nathan said We (Elizabeth & himself) like each other
Allie likes, likes Robert
Nathan to Allie: You still care
Net, I know this will make you happy, so here it is...…...I watched the WCTH marathon and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!! I admit I haven't been a faithful watcher of much Hallmark lately or this show, but watching the marathon it drew me in and for some of the reasons you said Net.
ReplyDeleteFirst off, having even the mention of God in much of anything nowadays, I do hope we will have a new pastor in Hope Valley.
The development of many characters on this show has been nothing short of amazing. Clara and Jessie, really love to see a young love that grows and then turns to marriage and we all know love and people are not perfect, and its how they will rediscover trust with each other again, and I love the message Joseph gave to Jessie.
Rosie and Lee are so wonderful. I could talk for days about them.
They have invested so much into the other characters in this show and I love that. And it does not in any way take away from the main characters of Elizabeth, Lucas, Nathan, Rosie and Lee, and Bill. It adds to it.
I absolutely adore Fiona and have to go watch all of WHC to see her.
Love seeing Florence and Molly getting storylines.
Have to say, I love seeing Abigails on the sign and talk of her. I feel like Lori is not perfect and she has paid for her decisions and wonder if they could bring her back one day.
And lastly, this may not be popular, but I like Lucas and Elizabeth together. When Elizabeth first came to Hope Valley she was different, and she loves living in Hope Valley and the simple things, but she does like the finer things too, and not that that is all love is, what things a person can give someone, but they are similar in that way. Elizabeth fell in love with Jack and he was not what her family saw for her, but that's who she loved. I kind of think the Mountie Nathan is too much of what Jack was and not that it is a risk, it would be something so close to what Jack was. And I still wonder if Nathan did know Jack, or knows more on that subject. And if they are going with a Nathan/Elizabeth pairing, that would give them drama and something to overcome to become the great love story.
Now this is what I hope for the choosing of Lucas, but what seems like is happening on screen, Elizabeth has never said she doesn't LOVE Nathan, just that she cant be with him. you can clearly see she may love him. I think she will try with Lucas and really like him, maybe love, but not the same as her love for Nathan.
Was that Henry Gowen's son????
And what to do with Carson, I mean being a surgeon is important to him, maybe he and Faith could go to Maryland and then come back? But like she said they aren't married, and to me, they haven't been developed enough to get married. I don't know. They are both so driven, and very supportive of each other, and sometimes that is supporting the other no matter where that takes them.
Cant wait for next week. I am happy to come back to the Hearties.
YAY, SABRINA!!! I am so HAPPY you've come back to HOPE VALLEY!!! Welcome home! I re-watched a lot of the marathon, too, from the afternoon on, plus the new episode. There is so much to love!
DeleteI did see, as I watching more intently, why many would be intrigued by Lucas with Elizabeth since they have such a strong connection when it comes to books and writing. For me, I think it's Lucas' occupation as the saloon owner that throws me off. For that time period, especially, it seems odd, scandalous really, for the local school teacher to be dating him. Course, they take a lot of liberties when it comes to historical accuracies. However, the comfort of knowing the show is going to be wholesome and family friendly more then makes up for that.
I'm still thinking Nathan is endgame when it comes to winning Elizabeth's heart, but I wish they would give us a few deeper conversations between the two. It seems like they are always passing each other and having brief chats.
That scene with Joseph and Jesse making the swing and talking about marriage was a favorite for me, too. We definitely need more messages about faith. I'm very curious about Joseph's back story.
So much to ponder and look forward to. The previews were so intriguing with Ned and Florence. I sure hope this medical trouble he's having will turn out good in the end and convince Carson his doctor skills are much needed in Hope Valley.
I love what you said about Rosemary and Lee... "I could talk for days about them." That is exactly how I feel. Sounds so much like Rosemary! A couple seasons back Lee promised to build Rosemary a stage or theater. Perhaps, they are planning to do something like. That's my hope!
And, yeah Christopher, what an interesting character he is! He looks like he walked straight out of an old photograph from that era, hat and all. He and Rachel are cute together, but he looks like trouble. Poor Lee.
So glad to hear how much you love it, too! Sure hope we get some sneak peeks this week!
I watched The Passion Of The Christ and I can not help but wonder how anyone could willfully sin, knowing what Jesus did for us. Also watched The Chosen. Thank you UP TV for these movies! This morning, I truly feel it is Holy Week.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter to all of you! May God's blessings be yours!
kitkat, I know just how you feel. The Passion of The Christ is such a powerful representation of the crucifixion. I remember seeing in the theater for the first time. I was in tears. It's heartbreaking what Jesus how to endure for our forgiveness, when He was blameless. I have it on DVD now, and I still feel the same way each time I watch... Grateful, beyond words.
DeleteHappy Easter week to you, my friend, and God bless!!!
Me too,Net
DeleteI loved Allie's reaction to watching Elizabeth watch her Uncle when they came in the store for 2nd times, it was hilarious. She knows her teacher; Mrs. Thornton is in love with her Uncle Nathan. I was LOL just watching Allie react to them.
ReplyDeleteYes, that was such a sweet moment with Nathan and Allie. The dynamic between these two characters is always natural, you can just sense their comfort and ease with one another, especially when they are teasing each other.
DeleteOh my heart!!❤❤
ReplyDeleteElizabeth: "Haven't you ever lost someone so close to your heart that it tears you apart?"
Nathan: "Not yet..."
Such a heart grabbing scene!!
“Not yet” Two simple words. Two simple words from both Nathan and Elizabeth that show they’re on the same page and getting closer to being in the same paragraph.
Nathan & Elizabeth are something in common & they’re perfect match
Hi Net, I just wanted to wish you and your family a most holy and blessed Triduum (that is, the evening of Holy Thursday through the evening of Easter Sunday). May we all remember Jesus' ultimate sacrifice for our salvation!
ReplyDeleteEvery Easter I make of point of watching the old silent version of King of Kings. If any of you haven't seen it, and you can get a hold of it (I haven't seen it listed in my cable guide), I highly recommend it. I discovered this some years ago and am so glad I did! It is very reverential.
Many blessings to everyone this weekend!
Mark 25
Mark, Thank you for sharing that information with us. That sounds like a very interesting version. I noticed there aren't quite as many religious programs airing this year on TV, as typical, which is quite sad to see. So many things have probably gone to streaming sources.
DeleteAgain, thank you for sharing with us. I so appreciate you doing so.
Blessings to you and yours this Easter, as well. He is Risen!!!
Jesse Metcalfe Exits Hallmark Channel’s ‘Chesapeake Shores’ Series
ReplyDelete“A new season of Hallmark Channel’s highly popular scripted series, Chesapeake Shores, is returning this summer. Jesse Metcalfe, who plays Trace Riley, has decided to leave the show. His character’s storyline will wrap up early in Season Five,” Hallmark Channel said in a statement to Deadline. “Jesse is a valued member of the Crown Media family; we look forward to continuing to work with him on projects, including original movies on Hallmark Channel, as well as his Hallmark Movies & Mysteries’ movie series, Martha’s Vineyard Mysteries, the next installment of which premieres on May 16. In addition, we are currently in development on another movie in the series.”
Metcalfe is currently in Canada and set to film Trace’s final scenes as the series, also starring Meghan Ory, is heading back to production.
The upcoming fifth season, which was ordered last summer, consists of 10 episodes and is expected to mark the series’ return to its regular Sunday night time period.
Chesapeake Shores revolves around the O’Brien family and centers on the eldest daughter Abby O’Brien (Ory), a high-powered career woman and divorced mother of two who returns home and rekindles her relationship with her high school sweetheart, successful singer-songwriter Trace Riley (Metcalfe). In the Season 4 finale, which aired in September 2019, Abby and Trace seemingly got back together after spending the season apart and entertaining new love interests.
Based on the Sherryl Woods novels, Chesapeake Shores also stars Treat Williams, Barbara Niven, Laci J. Mailey, Emilie Ullerup, Brendan Penny and Andrew Francis.
It was really shocking to see this article from Deadline regarding Jess Metcalfe's exit from the series.
DeleteSince they state in the article, "His character’s storyline will wrap up early in Season Five," it makes one wonder what will happen with #Trabby - AKA Traca and Abby. It was clear, so I thought, from the start that Abby came back to Chesapeake Shores so she could be with family and get back together with Trace. I figured all of this back and forth was just part of the show, to keep viewers interested and watching. For me personally, their love story dragged in the last season. Would they? Won't they? And then - there was the kiss at the end. What did it mean? I guess it means he's leaving. There's no indication that Meghan Ory is leaving the show early, too - so I guess that's the end of their relationship. I don't think CS fans are going to be too thrilled with this, but that's just my feeling.
Net, I think Jesse Metcalfe was the reason many people watched, including me. For the first two seasons, I enjoyed it. Dropped it after that. Happy he is continuing his mystery series.
DeleteI agree..this show will not be the same without Trace. Jesse Metcalfe was the big draw. Like Kitkat, I too lost interest in the last two seasons. Watched just enough to know what was going on. Glad Jesse is staying at Hallmark and will continue to film Martha's Vineyard. Love that series!
DeleteI didn't watch Don't Go Breaking My Heart. The storyline just didn't interest me. I could care less if her boot camp worked or not.
ReplyDeleteMisty
Misty, That's such a good point. I like the actors, but the promo really didn't really draw me in either, and now that we know it contained non-family-friendly content, I'm even more less interested.

Net, I must have missed something. Where was it talked about it having non-family friendly content in the movie? I haven't watched it yet and was looking forward to it. :(
DeleteGrace, Unfortunately, yes there is some content to beware of with this one. Jane shared a review with us and I posted it here ->
