*I'm not as familiar with these movies as I am other mysteries on Hallmark. I remember watching some of them years ago, but I'm not sure I've seen all of them. Like all mysteries, due to violence they may not be suitable for young viewers.
*Besides Lea Thompson (of "Back to the Future") who stars in the series as Jane Doe, also look for Jessy Schram ("Harvest Moon"), who plays her daughter!

Storyline via Hallmark: Author Jessica Bender is forced to work with her former boyfriend and editor Mike Pryce. During this association, the two ex begin to realize that the spark of their love is not yet completely extinguished.
Please Note: I decided not to share any movie picks for the Hallmark Channel this weekend because the Hallmark Channel will be repeating "Wedding Every Weekend" (twice), "Love Under the Olive Tree" and "Matching Hearts" over Saturday & Sunday- and all three movies include same sex couples. This is something I do not support - according to my faith in God's Word and personal beliefs. Please be aware of this as you are watching TV this weekend.
I know many of you who visit here may not be watching the Hallmark Channel at all right now and please know, I fully understand. I haven't been comfortable watching it lately, myself, even for Christmas. I did record and watch the first two Summer Nights movies - "Romance in the Air" and "Love on Harbor Island" and they were both sweet and family-friendly. Going forth, I've decided I will do like I do with any other channel, I will cautiously choose what I watch, and I will carefully pick and choose. I typically watch the programs I like on other various networks, then I turn anything I don't like or of course, anything objectionable. So... that's what I'll do now with the Hallmark Channel. It's like every other secular network. I no longer feel safe to just leave my TV turned there, and my family and I will have to watch with caution - IF we choose to turn there.
I hope you all have a nice weekend. We've had some pleasant temps this week here in the Midwest, but it's supposed to get really hot again this weekend - with high humidity! ☀ How's the weather where you live?
Thank you for letting us know what movies NOT to watch. Same sex is against my belief also and do NOT want to see those movies. I appreciate hearing from you on the movies. thank you. Marianne Rudisel
ReplyDeleteGrandma M, You're welcome! Thank YOU for sharing your values with us. I'll do my best to share any information I find on the upcoming movies.
DeleteGod bless you! Net
Hallmark has always been my go-to place for family friendly movies..They changed that last week with a movie rated "G", but at 42 minutes into the movie in included soft core porn. I had to edit out 4 minutes of the movie before allowing my family to watch it. How do you get a "G" rating on something that non family friendly? I say goodbye to Hallmark and their sponsors.
ReplyDeleteI understand how you feel. The station is no longer 100% family friendly. Actually, almost no channel is - anymore. So sad. We always have to be on guard - because they (THE WORLD) are trying to invade everything we watch and everything children watch too. When they have to include indoctrination into cartoons - that really is so sad.
DeleteI appreciate you sharing. Thank you and God bless!
Me and my sister tuned in to Hallmark channel a while back after a long absence for no other reason than our lives being busy. Anyway, Love Under the Olive Tree was on that night and it being one that we had not yet seen, decided to watch it. We were barely into the movie, we didn’t watch form the beginning, when we noticed the coffee shop scene. Without even speaking a word, me and my sister both turned to each other indicating the words, did I just see what I think I just saw. I very quickly changed the channel and began to research if it was indeed Hallmark’s attempt at “inclusivity.” How disappointed I was to discover that it was true and not the end of such. It was very clear that Wedding Every Weekend was also not a movie to be watched, based on the commercial, but I was unaware of a similar theme in Matching Hearts. Thanks for the warning, I will not be viewing any of these movies now or in the future!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment! Glad I could be of help and inform you about this content. I feel they are going to include even more of it in the future and like, "Love Under the Olive Tree" it will be difficult to know from movie previews alone. I feel for you and your sister - who just wanted to sit down and watch a simple rom-com together that didn't go against your morals and values. My family and I deeply feel the same way. It's hard to know what is safe anymore. I think we will always be on guard now - whatever we watch, even with commercials.

Happy Monday Net! I have DVR recording Do I Say I Do? Over the weekend, I watched another Pixl movie that I had recorded from UP TV called Vision Of Love starring Brant Daughtry. Really enjoyed this. I notice that a lot of these older movies are produced by Larry Livingston. He used to produce a lot of Hallmark movies. Wonder why they let him go? I love most of his movies. Happy to say I live in the South but not the hot weather. We are having lots of rain now. Looking forward to Fall.
ReplyDeletekitkat, I recorded "Do I Say I Do," too, yesterday morning. Haven't had the chance to watch it, quite yet.
DeleteI have seen "Vision of Love." It is quite a funny movie. At first, I was concerned that the manicurist was labeled in the storyline as a physic, but she obviously wasn't. It was more of a joke, I think. Anyway, the movie is cute and Brant Daugherty was adorable, as always!
Oh, and please send a little rain our way - up north... Stay cool - and dry! :)
Net, I watched Do I Say I Do Monday night. I really enjoyed it! Becca Tobin is a good actress. Thanks for giving us info.
DeleteThank you Net for providing this information. I do think Hallmark will begin to see pushback from their audiences! We still continue to pray and highlight family films! Blessings!
ReplyDeleteBT615, I appreciate your comment so much. I am praying along with you. If Hallmark doesn't change, I pray another network will come along and provide movies with only wholesome content - with more of a message, like the "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" films.
DeleteGod's Blessings to you! :)
I missed “Do I Say I Do”, I fall asleep
ReplyDeleteAre there repeating “Do I Say I Do”?
Yes! Currently the Hallmark Channel has these encore times listed for “Do I Say I Do”...
DeleteTuesday September 22 6:00 PM
Wednesday September 30 4:00 PM
(Please note: Times are in Eastern Standard Time.)
Hope that helps and you can catch a repeat showing!
I haven't been watching. I noticed that you posted a movie on Prime Video called Home Sweet Home! Thanks for posting about it. Wish Hallmark focused on that type of movie, instead of where they are going.
