  1. A woman named Amber (Holly Robinson Peete). She spends the holidays with her Aunt Dora (Patti Labelle) and assists in planning a Christmas concert fundraiser. The event brings Amber and Dora closer together. Plus, it also leads to a possible new romance with a man named Alan (Dion Johnstone).

  2. This movie was just okay, for me. I loved Patti LaBelle, but other than her, I felt this movie was a bit lackluster. I wasn't crazy about the male lead actor, he seemed like he would be better in an onstage Shakespeare production instead of a Hallmark movie, I just didn't buy into his character or the romance. And I really like Holly but I just don't feel like they cast her correctly in this movie; it felt like they were trying to squeeze her into the role of a twenty-or-thirty-something. She and I are both middle-aged, and she's beautiful and such a great representative for how us boomers can look good and juggle work and family and church and kids in college and aging parents, etc. I would love to see her play a vibrant woman her own age who finds love.
