PLOT:

Storyline via Hallmark: Nicole has plans to expand her family’s Northern California olive oil business until childhood crush Jake Brandini, heir apparent to the neighboring ranch and her biggest competitor, discovers the land where Nicole wants to build on may belong to his family, stemming from a decades-long feud since their grandfathers ended their partnership. When a local judge decides to resolve the dispute by awarding it to the winner of the upcoming olive oil competition, the flames are further fanned between the families, but Nicole and Jake begin to find common ground and a romance develops as the big competition looms.

Movie Review:

Although the main story-line is sweet, I cannot endorse this movie because of the relationship that was shown between two of Nicole's male friends.

See or Skip:

I must recommend skipping this movie for those who believe in traditional marriage as I do.

    1. Yes, isn't it wonderful to see Benjamin Hollingsworth on Hallmark again?!?! I just loved him in the first "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" movie and "The Birthday Wish!"

Plus, Benjamin will be starring alongside Cindy Busby and Kathie Lee Gifford in the all new Godwinks movie: "A Godwink Christmas: Meant for Love" this Holiday Season!

  4. These two look cute together. You know, I almost didn't recognize Tori from Return to Christmas Creek, but I just knew I had seen her somewhere before so I looked up her name. I hope see becomes a Hallmark regular.

  5. Rescuing Madison (2014) airs on Hallmark Channel

Sparks fly between a singer (Alona Tal) & a handsome firefighter (Ethan Peck) who saved her life.

A famous singer is rescued by a firefighter, which looks like it maybe the start of a budding romance until thwarted by her publicity manager.

I don’t think this a good movie after all

    1. I haven't seen Rescuing Madison, yet. I did, however, record it earlier, and I plan to watch it sometime this week. Maybe! It was originally a PixL movie, but I believe this is the first time it's been on the Hallmark Channel. It may have been on Hallmark Drama before I had that channel. Not sure.

    2. "Rescuing Madison" is a new favorite of mine!! Love it! I recorded it when it aired in July on Hallmark but I just now got around to watching it. I watched it 3 times in 1 week. There is just something about it that charms me. The love story is so sweet and adorable. Alona Tal is perfect in her role as Madison. And it was great to see Ted McGilen as John's (the male lead) dad. The family love and unity of John's family was beautiful. And they made Madison feel like part of their family. I don't usually like the non-Hallmark movies as much but this Pixl/Larry Levinson was a hit for me. The relationships are sweet and innocent. It is clean and wholesome with no language. The only questionable thing is that her manager creates a scandal that implies (falsely) an immoral behavior. The movie is rated PG. I personally recommended this movie. :)

  9. Hi Net, I've noticed that Lover Under the Olive Tree, and Country At Heart have been taken off the Fall Harvest 2019 Schedule. And that Over The Moon In Love was moved from September 21st to October 5th. I was wondering if perhaps you had an idea of what happened? I'm a little sad that they've been removed as I love the actors in both films and always look forward to weekends with new Hallmark movies to curl up with. Any info you might be able to share or any help would be greatly appreciated. Love the site and always look forward to new posts on here about upcoming Hallmark movies. :)

    1. Hello... Thank you for commenting. Unfortunately, Hallmark's sudden decision to remove Lover Under the Olive Tree and Country At Heart from their lineup has yet to be fully explained from Hallmark. At this time, we believe there is word that they may be played next year or end up on Hallmark Movies Now (Hallmark's on-line streaming service).

Many of us devoted Hallmark viewers are disappointed on this decision to remove these two films, as we were very much looking forward to watching them both.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this. I'm so glad to know you enjoy your visits here.

      Blessings to you! Net

    1. I share your disappointment. Even though it wasn't the main part of the story, it was still there and it ruined the entire movie for me.

  12. Unfortunately this seems to be a direction Hallmark is going in more often.

  13. I had a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach watching this movie. I could tell pretty early on where the movie was headed with the two guys. Their relationship was much more obvious and pervasive than in any other Hallmark movie to date. Grr.

    1. Amy G., I know just how you feel. I felt the exact same way. Everyone talks about being inclusive, but they don't consider they are excluding those of us of faith, or those who simply have different beliefs, and don't feel as they do.

Nearly every station on TV offers what the world is seeking. Hallmark used to be a safe place for family friendly content. Sadly, they are becoming gradually like everyone else. And, if viewers lose their trust completely in the Hallmark network and don't feel comfortable watching, they will turn the station more and more.

I appreciate those who came here to share the content in this movie and that is what we are going to continue to do here. We must continue to speak out for our beliefs. Our thoughts, feelings, and opinions matter, too - and we have the right to speak out, too, in love!

      Thank you for sharing, Amy!

  14. I was quite disappointed that despite being set during the fall, there were very few autumnal elements to the film. I understand that they aired it during the summer, so perhaps they removed all references to the fall. Not a favourite.

  15. I actually quite liked the Movie.

I was disappointed at the gay relationship, yes but I don't think it was "in your face".

I wonder if Hallmark was debating whether it should show this which explained the long delay before airing this?

I do think you need to have a certain amount of tension between the characters and this has been lacking more often in recent Hallmark Movies but I enjoyed the sparring between Nicole and Jake.

  16. I WANT TO KNOW the song, that instrumental music was playing while they both dancing on the festival that night as shown on the photo above. PLEASE CAN SOMEONE TELL. I have been looking everywhere but simply cannot find it.

  17. I am disappointed in Hallmark. They are supposed to be family friendly. In the last couple movies they have made they have been pushing the lgtbq agenda. In love under the olive tree they portray Adam and Billy as a gay couple. It is very subtil. It upsets me greatly that they are trying to sneak it in.

  18. I see that Return to Christmas Creek is on tonight. I love that movie and am hoping that Hallmark releases it on dvd. It's my favorite movie from 2018. Looking forward to more movies coming to dvd. Maybe Farewell Mr. Kringle, Window Wonderland, Thanksgiving House, 12 Gifts of Christmas, Twelfth Day of Christmas, Love Always Santa, Mingle All the Way, Christmas Land and Christmas Cottage. Hope to see Bobby Campo in a Christmas movie. Sharing Christmas on dvd would be nice also.
