It's a weekend of new beginnings with the Fall Harvest previews and endings with the Chesapeake Shores season four finale!

I know many are still disappointed that the Fall movies were reduced this year. I get that. I'm disappointed, too, but Hallmark has always been so good to us, giving us these wholesome, heartwarming movies to watch and enjoy week after week. I'm hoping, in the end, we'll all get to see these movies, eventually (someday!), and we'll enjoy another season of old and new Hallmark movies! Perhaps, more will be revealed in the Preview Announcement Saturday night. We'll see!

And... it's time to say goodbye to the O'Brien's once again this Sunday night. But rest assured, there are plans to bring the O'Brien sisters - Abby (Meghan Ory), Bree (Emilie Ullerup), Jess (Laci Mailey), and hopefully others... back for a Hallmark movie next year! More to be announced, I'm sure, as it's all still in-the-works!

Then Sunday night... it's time for a little more sleuthing with Taylor Cole as Ruby Herring! Can you solve this case before Ruby?

Hope you all have a wonderful last weekend of September! Christmas movies begin next month! Happy watching!

Blessings to YOU ALL! Net

  2. Why were there on only 6 episodes in season 4 of Chesapeake Shores? They usually have 10 episodes. Its rates are good, any reason.

    1. "Chesapeake Shores" has a fairly large all star cast, and most of them are busy starring in other projects, so I believe it was a scheduling decision from the beginning. I think it was easier to get ALL the cast to commit to six weeks, versus 10.

At this point, though, I don't want it to end, yet. I'm wondering how they are going to leave us at the end of this season. I sure hope there aren't too many cliffhangers.

  3. Why have we not seen any full length movies with Meghan Ory on Hallmark Channels?

    1. Hello winningedge24! It could be that we haven't seen Meghan Ory starring in a Hallmark movie lately because she has been expecting the last two seasons in real life on "Chesapeake Shores." They hid her pregnancy on the show.

Perhaps, it was a personal decision for her and her family to not do any other projects. Having a new baby and expecting another has probably kept her pretty busy, but if the new CS spinoff movie goes ahead as planned next year, maybe we'll see more of her! Let's hope! :)

  4. Not sure if this was an accident or intentional, but Hallmark aired Over the Moon in Love this Sunday at 4:30am. I just happened to wake up and catch it about 5 minuets into the movie. Unfortunately, my excitement quickly faded as I realized this movie had nothing to do with Fall. It was a cute movie, but again there was nothing Fall about it so I don’t know why Hallmark would include it in their Fall Harvest lineup. There was no apple picking, no corn maze, no hayride and no pumpkins. None! Several scenes were shot outside and I didn’t even see Fall leaves. Seriously?! Would Hallmark dare to include a movie in their Christmas lineup that didn’t have a Christmas tree or Christmas decorations all over? I think not! To me, this movie felt more like one of their Spring Fling movies. Such a disappointment! I love Fall almost as much as I love Christmas and to see their lineup reduced and now this. Come on, Hallmark! Do better! Did anyone else catch Over the Moon in Love this Sunday? - Melissa

    1. Hello Melissa! I caught that, too! What a surprise! I just happened to wake up at that time, and I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw it on my TV! I knew I wasn't dreaming. I only watched it a few minutes and went back to sleep. It is disappointing that there isn't any representation of fall in the movie. They filmed it in the springtime - so that makes sense that it looks like spring. I personally think this only adds to the disappointment that they removed the other two Fall movies.

Thank you for sharing! Blessings, Net

    2. Hey Melissa, I recorded it cause I wanted to know what "To Be Announced" was on the title on my directv. I was expecting another movie they picked up from Pixl or something, but was shocked it was OTMIL. I haven't watched it yet, but I am sad that you are saying its not really fall. so we literally get 1 fall movie and a good witch extended episode? Did not watch the preview show thing whatever, I have AOMH's on dvd, so I didn't even have that channel on. Fall Harvest is an afterthought this year, it will probably be gone all together next year and Christmas will start Oct 1st. Anyone else notice they keep adding Christmas movies, they are now coming on at like 2 am Oct 25th, cause Hallmark has to have them on before the other networks, so they can say they are the 1st network playing Christmas movies.

PS. Lifetime is playing Christmas movies today, and also next Monday too, I think starting in the afternoon, they are playing Flight before Christmas today too.

PSS--Somehow Hallmark decided to play at 8pm and 10 pm all week Fall movies, so enjoy Under the autumn moon and Love Of Course tonight.

    3. Sabrina - Thank YOU so much for sharing this news on Lifetime playing Christmas movies on Monday!!! I quickly pulled up the guide and I see they are playing Christmas movies from 6pm to 4am EST. Wow! That's a lot of Christmas! I can't wait to watch tonight!!! :)

    4. Hey Sabrina, I will say that even though OTMIL isn’t really a fall movie, it was cute. I’d probably watch it again. Looking forward to Love, Fall and Order as that one does look very Fall-ish. I just wish there were more Fall Harvest movies to enjoy. Oh well!
I too noticed the airing of past Fall Harvest favorites during the evenings all this week so I’m planning on watching those to get in the Harvest spirit. πŸƒπŸ - Melissa

  5. "Over the Moon in Love" played at 4:30am CT this morning! Does anyone know what happened here? I had a recording going that picked up the first 5 minutes of "Over the Moon in Love" at 2:30am my time. From what I saw, it started off really good! I assume it playing was just a major mix-up. They had the Chesapeake Shores finale countdown in the left hand corner, premiering tomorrow. I wish I had recorded the whole movie, not just the first 5 minutes!

    1. Hey LB! I'm glad you caught that, too! I just happened to see it, as well. I was majorly surprised they did that. My guess is - since it was originally supposed to premiere on Sept 21st (the night they played "When Hope Calls") this was probably an encore airing they meant to remove from the schedule and (oops!) forgot! I wish they would do the same with Love Under the Olive Tree and Country at Heart too! :)

Glad you liked the first five minutes! Hope you enjoy the rest this upcoming Saturday night!

  6. *Regarding my earlier comment regarding the mistaken playing of "Over the Moon in Love...." I was totally wrong on the time...it would have been 12:30am Easter/1:30am Central NOT the 4:30am CT that I said! Did my conversion from my time wrong! :)

    1. Yeah, LB... it's hard to figure different time zones. I believe it was 4:30am for the Eastern Standard Time and 3:30am for the Central Time Zone.

Not exactly sure how it works on the west coast. It may differ depending on cable providers.

  9. John Wesley Shipp is set to appear in approximately a dozen more Hallmark Movies & Mysteries films over the next four years, which should put him on the invitation list to the Hallmark Channel’s press tour galas, which are star-studded!

    1. Yeah, I knew from the TCA event he was going to be in "Ruby Herring," but I am still rather surprised that they replaced Shawn Christian in that role, who used to be Taylor Cole's step-father in real life.

    2. It would be awesome if John Wesley Ship could star in a movie with Mary Margaret Humes, Dawson Creek reunion anyone????

      Delete
    3. I kept thinking of "Dawson's Creek," too, Sabrina, while I was watching! That would be great to see Dawson's parents John Wesley Ship and Mary Margaret Humes together again! They could easily play parents in a Hallmark movie, like the "Family Ties" mom and dad did in "Naughty or Nice!"

  10. Not sure if anyone else caught this, but in the early hours of sunday AM, 4:30 to be exact, Hallmark played Over the Moon in Love. I happened to record it, cause it said "To Be Announced" Just extremely weird. It originally said For Better or Worse, then no information, then back to For Better or Worse, then to To be announced and it said it was pay per view.

I am just not understanding hallmark right now. I don't really know why they announced the Christmas movies the day after labor day if they were going to be changed this much. The entire week of thanksgiving has been changed so much I don't even know what is on anymore. I know they typically announce the movies, then do a few changes, but this amount of changes is just ridiculous. It is making them look really bad.

The Over the Moon in love on sunday AM, really makes them look bad.

    1. Hi Sabrina! I am amazed at how many people caught this mix-up at 4:30AM EST.! I'm so glad you caught it ahead of time, though, to record it. Great catch!

I thought maybe it was encore airing they meant to remove or something, but that is weird it was originally supposed to be "For Better or Worse." Now I am even more perplexed on why they played it.

At this point, their scheduling completely puzzles me! :)

  11. I watched part of the 1st Ruby Herring and I just didn't like it, but what I did notice from the previews for this Ruby Herring, Ruby no longer has the fake looking orange/red hair. Ruby is more like Taylor Cole's regular hair color now, which looks so much better and is beautiful. do people in real life change their hair color as much as they do on these movies? I am always wondering how much time in real life goes on for Aurora Teagarden between each movie, her hair looks different in every movie. you think they could be consistent in the costume/makeup/hair dept. The movies that were all filmed around the one when Roe finds a baby she has burgundy hair, this latest installments it was orange, and very inconsistent lengths.

    1. Why isn’t Taylor Cole wore auburn wig than her regular hair color on Ruby Herring Mysteries franchise

    2. I split this movie up, too, Sabrina... watching it Sunday and Monday, which is typically not something I do with mysteries. Usually, I just have to keep watching and know who did it. This time around, I felt less invested in the story.

I like Taylor Cole as Ruby and Stephen Huszar was excellent, but the supporting cast didn't work for me. It seemed like a lot of new characters we didn't know. And why is Derek her friend now? He worked at the hotel in the first movie where Ruby's sister had her destination wedding. He was one of Ruby's main suspects and now they act like they are great friends. Didn't make sense.

I enjoyed seeing both Andrew Fancis and Karen Holness, but their roles were just way too small for as great of actors as they both are.

Plus, I guessed who did right away - and capturing that person was way too easy... No chase. No fight. Nothing.

I won't say any more - don't want to give away anything for those who haven't watched, yet, but that was my takeaway.

Oh, but on a positive note, I did like Taylor's hair much better in this one, too! :)

  12. John is a former well-known crime reporter who has clearly passed on his skills and “Herring Hunch” to his daughter. He’ll offer advice and support to Ruby throughout the new Hallmark Movies & Mysteries film.

Can't believe no one has commented on the surprise ending of Chesapeake Shores. It was great, but I hope they will not let us down & let Abby & Trace still go their separate ways! It certainly didn't look that way in the ending scene....they were definitely into that kiss!!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I know, Joyce... Right??? Wasn't that something! Did we expect it or anticipate it? Part of me, yes, but I don't know, like you said, if the kiss will last and truly bring them back together. I'm sure they'll have conflicting emotions and Abby will have to tell her Sisters - over ice cream, of course!

All I know is, there is something still quite powerful there - pulling them together. Whenever the series ends - these two must be together! And the parents, Mick and Megan, too!

Weren't Jess and David just adorable? I loved when she found the ring and kept anticipating his proposal. That was all so cute!

Plus, it was great to see the addition of Peter Benson (Arthur, from "Aurora Teagarden")! I hadn't thought of him with Bree, but he is such a fun guy usually in all of his roles, I think he would be great for her, since she's typically so serious. He could definitely bring out her fun side!

Glad you enjoyed the season finale, Joyce... Sure hope the movie works out, and I hope they announce Season 5!!! :)

    2. I was surprised to see Peter Benson too. Like you I had never thought about him for Bree. I'm thinking his role might not last because he is so involved in the Aurora series. But you never know what surprises are in store.

And yes, Jess and David were so cute! When he finally proposed I shed a tear or two...very sweet.

But that ending was just WOW!! I also thought that all the endings were somewhat like the end...in case it's not renewed...not so many loose ends???
