image: Love to the Rescue - Hallmark Crown Media

Nikki DeLoach and Michael Rady, who just recently starred together in the Spring Fever movie, Love to the Rescue, will be starring together, once again, in the upcoming Hallmark Christmas movie, Two Turtle Doves.

The storyline according to ET: "In the upcoming film, named after a lyric from "The 12 Days of Christmas," Dr. Sharon Hayes (DeLoach) searches for a beloved family heirloom in a small Christmas town. When she unexpectedly discovers an adorable little girl and her disheartened father (Rady), she realizes that Christmas miracles really do happen."

Both Nikki Deloach and Michael Rady have each previously starred in three Hallmark Christmas movies.

Nikki Deloach's Hallmark Christmas Movies:
Christmas Land - 2015
A Dream of Christmas - 2016
Reunited at Christmas - 2017

Michael Rady Hallmark Christmas Movies:
Christmas in Homestead - 2016
A Joyous Christmas - 2017
Christmas at Pemberley Manor - 2018

Two Turtle Doves will be both their fourth Hallmark Christmas movie!

  4. I watched Home & Family Roselyn Sanchez talks about a new movie; A Taste of Summer”, with her real life Husband; Eric Winter. She portrayed as Gabby, Sous Chef in A “Taste of Summer”.

Cameron mentioned “A Taste of Summer” will release on August 3, 2019 is part of Summer Nights when I saw “A Taste of Summer” movie poster.

Cameron told Roselyn brings her dog with her Husband; Eric with his dog & talk about their movie; “A Taste of Summer”, could show a clip from the movie.

Roselyn’s first Hallmark movie: A Taste was of Summer

How many Hallmark movies did Eric have?

    1. Yes, I've added "A Taste of Summer” to the Movie list! Should be interesting to see another husband and wife (like Carlos and Alexa PenaVega) play opposites in a Hallmark movie!

Eric Winter has starred in two previous Hallmark movies - "Finding Santa" in 2017 with Jodie Sweetin and "The Magic of Ordinary Days," a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie in 2005, with Keri Russell, Skeet Ulrich, and Mare Winningham.

  5. I love Nikki Deloach. I think she would be an excellent choice to continue the role of Abigail Stanton (WCTH)!

    1. Hi Deborah! I think Nikki is wonderful too! I especially like her in the more serious, heartwarming roles, like Reunited at Christmas or Love Takes Flight.

As for "When Calls the Heart," I wonder if they will replace Lori Loughlin in the role of Abigail Stanton in future seasons, at all. They may just explain her absence and move on. I also wonder if any actress would want to take on that role, as it would be tough shoes to fill, especially with all the scrutiny over everything that happened.

My favorite Nikki Deloach Christmas movie is Christmas Land.

My favorite Michael Rady Christmas is A Joyous Christmas.

I think Terri Polo would be a good replacement for Abigail on WCTH.

Thanks for the update Net! Great news!

    1. Wonderful movie choices, Joyce! I also enjoy Christmas Land. The way the town comes together in the end to help out is so touching!

This new movie Two Turtle Doves, sounds like it just might be one of the heartwarming films we are used to seeing on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries - so I'll be interested to see if it ends up there or on the Hallmark Channel. I'm sure they are still deciding which movies will go where. Last year they moved a few back and forth, including Nikki Deloach's Reunited for Christmas.

Wherever it goes - I know we'll be watching! So glad you enjoyed this news too! :)

  8. This is so exciting! I love both of them and was thrilled to see them paired together for Love to the Rescue. Unfortunately, the movie was not one of my favorites...may have even fallen asleep before it ended, but I did enjoy all the scenes in downtown Savannah. I lived there for 10 years when I was younger so it was exciting to see it in a movie. Anyway, love that these two are paired up again and even better for a Christmas movie this time. I loved Christmas Land and hope to eventually buy it. I own A Dream of Christmas and Christmas in Homestead and watch them both often. Thanks again Net for keeping us up to date on all things Hallmark! - Melissa

    1. I so agree, Melissa! This is definitely exciting news, especially since we already know these two work so well together!

It must be wonderful to see the background of your childhood home in a Hallmark movie! How special! I remember how beautiful the setting was in Love to the Rescue. Hallmark really is great at finding such picturesque places to shoot these films.

I love your movie picks for Nikki and Michael too... I also have those on DVD and watch over & over!!! :)

Thanks so much for sharing - glad you enjoyed this update!
