Storyline via Hallmark: As the only daughter of an expert tailor in Philadelphia, Emily Taylor (Lacey Chabert) is a kindhearted young woman proud of her blue-collar background. She is a devoted seamstress at the family business and madly in love with her doting European boyfriend, Leo (Stephen Hagan). But as their first Christmas together approaches, Leo drops a bombshell on his unsuspecting girlfriend: he is actually Prince Leopold, heir to the throne of Cordinia, a small sovereign country. Emily is in shock, but her love for Leo trumps her hesitation about his double life and they quickly fly to Cordinia to announce their engagement and spend the holidays with Leo’s disapproving mother, Queen Isadora (Jane Seymour).
While the news media and many are on Royal Baby Watch... awaiting the arrival of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's (Hallmark's "Dater's Handbook" and "When Sparks Fly") baby, we can delve back into the fictional, enchanting, royal world of Cordinia - where a simple, American girl, Emily Taylor, played by Lacey Chabert, explores a whole new world, in a faraway land, and opens up the hearts of everyone she meets!
TOTALLY BUMMED I didn't know about the last minute decision to show A Small Town Christmas last night. It's one of my favs. Our TV guide channel didn't list it so I didn't think to turn the channel at 9pm. From now on I will do that each Thurs at 9.
ReplyDeleteCurly... I could hardly believe it, myself! Hallmark changed their mind just yesterday about airing Christmas, and they announced it on Facebook around 3pm or so. At that time, I was away from my computer for awhile spending time with my family. Fortunately, later on... I checked my emails and comments, and I received messages from followers here letting me know of this late breaking change. I was completely surprised - by this turn of events... I quickly updated the information on my original post, hoping some of you might also catch the news. This has been a rather frustrating situation for all viewers who are loyal when it comes to watching Christmas, new Premieres, or any of the Hallmark Specials.
DeleteLike your guide, Hallmark stated most of the TV schedules would be wrong, still saying "Psych;" therefore, I'm sure there were many others who missed it, as well, and would have made plans to watch or record, if they only knew.
I do have some good news, however. Hallmark Movies & Mysteries is currently showing on their site - there will be a repeat showing of "A Small Town Christmas" - Sunday June 30 11:00 AM / 10:00c. I know that's a little while to wait, but thankfully, we won't have to wait until Christmastime. And, this time could change too, so... we'll have to keep an eye on it.
Many Hallmark Christmas movies are "currently" scheduled to air the last weekend of June on both networks. It appears to be an early start to Keepsake Christmas on the Hallmark Channel and Gold Crown Christmas on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. Stay tuned for any changes, of course.
Anyway... I am also bummed for you and others who missed "A Small Town Christmas," as well.
Hope you can watch and enjoy the Christmas movie tonight. Blessings on your day! Net
We appreciate what you do, Net. This was irresponsible on Hallmark's part to announce one thing and then reverse that poor decision hours before deciding to air it.
DeleteWithout you, I would have already missed a number of Hallmark movies this year. Thank you for what you do here.
Thank you! Bless you for this very sweet comment. It means the world to me to know what I do is a help to you!
DeleteBlessings! Net
Yeah, Net, the same identical thing happened to me. Usually I check back on your site in the evening to make sure I haven't missed anything but after viewing the lineup and seeing Psych, I didn't bother. I won't do that again! I'm just so glad they're back and sorry I missed "Small Town Christmas"! I'll be tuned in tonight!
ReplyDeleteOh no, Linda! I'm sorry to hear you missed it. I just knew there would be many who would be watching, if they only knew. To be honest, just knowing this, took the joy out of watching it for me. Tonight and next week - we'll all watch joyfully together again!!! :)
DeleteBlessings! Net
...just think of how many viewers got to see "Small Town Christmas" because you caught it in time! You are "the" blessing, Net!!
DeleteSuper excited Hallmark brought Christmas back to HMM! Gonna watch my girl Lacey tonight!
ReplyDeleteEm π π π π π
I'm super excited too, Em! I was just thinking yesterday earlier in the day - no Christmas movie tonight, and when I learned it was back on, I was thrilled, but also disappointed, I didn't have time to alert everyone here.
DeleteThank you for sharing the joy of Christmas! Happy watching tonight!
Blessings! Net
