At first, Jennifer, working alongside Detective Frank Lynwood, determines that the cause of death was an accidental fall. But when she learns that the victim was trying to call 911, she begins to suspect foul play. Though Lynwood remains convinced the fatality was an accident, Jennifer decides to investigate on her own, questioning key suspects, including Tina Parsons, an art appraiser and close friend of the deceased.

There are 4 new Garage Sale Mystery movies are coming in August 2017
ReplyDeletehttp://suziweinert.com/
Yeah, someone mentioned how there were 4 coming in August and I saw that on Wiki as well. Wonder what's going on?
DeleteMisty
I hope this one is better than the last. I knew who done it way to soon and usually I am surprised.
ReplyDeleteReally hope flower shop mystery comes back really like it. Also hope murder she baked and of course Aurora Teagarden comes back!!!
Yes!!! This one was so much better than the last one.
DeleteYay! Did I see that the author wrote another book? I sure hope so!

Lori Laughlin's just confirmed on her Instagram that four new GSM movies are premiering in August 2017. She posted a video that's a Hallmark commercial for it.

Yes, isn't that interesting! I just posted this news to my new page on Upcoming 2017 New Movies. I'm wondering what this might mean for the future of Garage Sale Mystery and other on-going HMM mystery series! Any ideas? Or clues?
DeleteThey might just be having a GSM themed month. Do you remember how in August 2016 (I think?) they had a new HMM premiere back to back every weekend? Maybe they're doing that again but just with GSM movies.
ReplyDeleteSo true! Yes, they have had a pattern of premiering them in groups on HMM. I remember Kellie Martin hosted the premiere of 3 last October, and there was a mystery run in June, 2016 with 4 new premieres with all the ladies of mystery!
DeleteSo glad to hear about more GSM coming out.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know if any more flower shop mystery movies will be coming out. I really really love FSM. Also if you have any info on Aurora or murder she baked hope they will also be returning to HMM. Never been big on these kind of movies before now I am hooked since the first one aired.
Not sure about the future of Flower Shop Mystery, unfortunately, but there are definitely more "Murder She Baked" & Aurora movies coming! See the new press release for details.
DeleteThank you for commenting, Tabitha... I'm also a big fan of all the mystery movies!
Hi Net, I have a question for you, what's your take on them airing four of GSMysteries in August. What's your take on this, do you think they're wrapping up GSM movies or do you think they're giving us the gift of four of them to tide us over (maybe it's a break time for the movies?) I'm not trying to start any talk, just wondering. Jill
ReplyDeleteI’m still searching for clues on this one, Jill. My take is this… four Garage Sale Mystery movies in one month – is a brilliant, fascinating mystery for all of us mystery fans & sleuths!
DeleteAt this time, I can only guess why they are doing this. Perhaps, the movie stories correlate in some way that makes airing the four together make sense. ("Signed, Sealed, Delivered" aired two movies close together in 2015 that continued a story - "Signed, Sealed, Delivered: Truth Be Told" and "Signed, Sealed, Delivered: The Impossible Dream")
There’s also the possibility that they are ramping up the production on all the mystery movies after this and they will be doing the other mystery movies in the same way – each one taking a month each. Maybe, this is a trial to see how that goes.
As for it possibly being the end… I’ve never seen Hallmark prepare the end of the show. For example: as for "Cedar Cove," no one knew when that last episode aired it would be the last. That news came afterwards. I’m sure as long as the ratings are good and the main actors wish to continue, it will go on.
So… I haven’t solved this, yet, but… any great detective who is trying to solve a mystery - starts with the facts. Here is what we know, thus far. There have been 7 Garage Sale Mystery Movies. Lori Loughlin, of course, has starred in all of them as Jennifer Shannon, antique shop owner, wife, mom, and mystery solver. (Sarah Strange (“A Christmas Detour”) has also starred in all of them, too, as Jennifer’s best friend – and co-shop owner!)
Here are the 7 "Garage Sale Mystery" movie titles:
1. “Garage Sale Mystery”
2. “Garage Sale Mystery : All That Glitters”
3. “Garage Sale Mystery: The Deadly Room”
4. “Garage Sale Mystery : The Wedding Dress”
5. “Garage Sale Mystery : Guilty Until Proven Innocent”
6. “Garage Sale Mystery : The Novel Murders”
7. “Garage Sale Mystery : The Art of Murder”
After the premiere of 4 more in August, 2017 - there will be a total of 11 Garage Sale Mystery movies!
8. “Garage Sale Mystery: Drowned”
9. “Garage Sale Mystery: Texting a Murder”
10. “Garage Sale Mystery: unknown title”
11. “Garage Sale Mystery: unknown title”
(*stay tuned – HERE – for the unknown titles)
More facts we know: This series is based on the books by author Suzi Weinert. I thought there might be a clue there, but there are only 3 books in the series, as of November, 2016. So, the movies have way surpassed the books that have been released. No clue there.
For now, I suppose we will have to wait and see! We may or may not receive any word until the TCA event in January of 2018!
Thank you so much for asking this question, Jill… the investigation continues!!!
Net -- Don't forget that there is a big TCA event in July this year. (And there should also be some sort of Upfront event - possibly taking place in New York?? -- around the end of March or early April, I think. That's another chance for more info to come out.)
DeleteYou might not have to wait until January 2018 to get more info on the GSM movies. The July/Summer TCA event should have a heavy focus on GSM (again), as the 4 back-to-back movies will premiere the very next month!
Also, Lori Loughlin skipped the TCA this past January 14th, so I fully expect her to be at the one in July.
Oh, Yes! I've been following both TCA events for years now. I'm sure Lori Loughlin will do her best to attend the July Summer TCA to promote the August premiere of her FOUR Garage Sale Mystery movies, but as for if there will be more of these movies made following that - we may have to wait until after August for that information. Hallmark will surely base it off ratings, viewer interest, feedback, etc... I sure hope we don't have to wait until then, but you never know. Hallmark is excellent at keeping us guessing!!! :)
DeleteOh, I see what you mean -- you're referring to waiting for ratings and feedback after the August movies premiere (in which case the January 2018 TCA would be the next one in line). That makes sense. When I read your above reply (which only mentioned the January 2018 event), I was confused because it looked as though you had just forgotten about the July TCA (and I know you've been following it, because I've been following your site for years!)! Lol I was thinking, "How is Net forgetting about the Summer TCA?" Lol
DeleteWhile there won't be any GSM August ratings info by the time of the July TCA, obviously, there is always a small possibility they could announce (in July) that GSM will continue in 2018. Most likely they won't, and will focus on something else (like Chesapeake Shores, Fall Harvest and some of the upcoming Christmas movies), but they might at least name one GSM movie for 2018.
Also keep watch for info trickling out of the spring Upfront (it's not a splashy red carpet event like the TCA, but it can sometimes be good for some press releases and small bits of info) and, possibly, another Variety Summit (IF there is another one this year).
Net, thank you so much for your through reply, I really appreciate it, it will be interesting to see what happens in the future, in regards to all of mystery movies.
DeleteI so hope at one of those events preferably the March April event might finally have some information about Flower Shop Mystery. Thought for sure by now I would be watching at least one after Christmas or some kind of sneak Thought for sure would be set for because if not mistaken premiered in January and then two came on in the summer. Then her saying what she did thought for sure no worries about that not coming back on. Sorry keep going on about FSM but I like it as much GSM MSB Gourmet Detective Aurora and new Fixer Upper.
DeleteI want it to come back like the rest are
Jill, You are most welcome! It was a lot of fun developing theories, but as Martin always tells Aurora (in the Aurora Teagarden Mysteries), "We don't need theories, we need Answers!" So true!
DeleteGuess we will find out someday!!!
Tabitha, I feel exactly the same! I was watching a Flower Shop Mystery marathon on HMM just the other day and I thought - these are so good! (Don't tell, but I may even like them a little more than a few other mysteries!)
DeleteHopefully all is well with everyone involved with this project and we will eventually hear some sort of news on either the end of Flower Shop or (hopefully!) more FSM movies!!!
