Exciting news has been released for THE BRIDGE - especially for those of you who do not have the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel. Author Karen Kingsbury shared via her newsletter that her book THE BRIDGE will be a movie on the Hallmark Channel this Christmas!
Karen shared, "On the movie front, I had a wonderful time in Victoria, BC., watching the filming of my book The Bridge, which will be a Hallmark movie this Christmas. More information about exact dates and times coming soon!"
Then, Karen Kingsbury shared this image...
Kingsbury's The Bridge is the sweeping tale of Molly Callens (Findlay) and Ryan Kelly (Nash), two young students who share a profound friendship their first semester in college, a time that becomes the defining moment of their lives. At their favorite bookstore and coffee shop, The Bridge, they spend countless hours studying and inspiring the other to dream their 10-year goal. They bond with the owners of The Bridge, Charlie (McGinley) and Donna Barton (Ford), a couple who designed the bookstore as a place where people can connect and be part of an extended family. Can Molly and Ryan's unspoken love and future dreams survive the expectations of others as to what their lives should ultimately be?
"Karen Kingsbury's story of second chances has touched millions of people, illustrating the power of love, forgiveness and grace," said Michelle Vicary, Executive Vice President, Programming and Publicity, Crown Media Family Networks. "The characters of 'The Bridge' are confronted with the same hard choices many people face daily, and they overcome the obstacles with empathy and love, an inspiring message this holiday season."

Oh, I pre-ordered "Charming Christmas" last week and I see three others I'm going to order...Thanks, Net!! <><
ReplyDeleteOh wow, you're welcome! I was thrilled to find and share this news for THE BRIDGE. Enjoy your Christmas reading!!! :)
DeleteI really think it will end up on Movies & Mysteries. It may debut on the regular Hallmark Channel, but it will move to HMM at some point down the road, just as The Christmas Shepherd" did last year.
ReplyDeleteI think that a lot of actors, writers and people involved in making the movies don't actually realize that the movies will end up on one channel instead of the other. They kind of just lump all things Hallmark together.
Somewhere in the comments/replies on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Facebook page I noticed that Hallmark said they were going to have 4 new movies this holiday season. We know of 3 of them, and only 3 have been announced. The 4th one is probably going to have to be "The Bridge" (even if it debuts on the Hallmark Channel) or "The Ultimate Gift." Or, maybe it will be "Dashing Through the Snow," since that one was originally slated for HMM, but is premiering on the regular Hallmark Channel.
So excited about this movie. I love all Karen Kingsbury's books!

You're
ReplyDeletekidding me - part one 2015, part 2 2016. who's going to remember or care by next year. bad decision. this isn't a sequel it's PART 2
Had I known it was only part One, I wouldn't have started watching it to begin with. Was so disappointed,
DeleteI'm so disappointed that I have to wait a full year before seeing The Bridge Part 2. I'll forget about it or won't be around to see it. Life is short! :)
ReplyDeleteI think its terrible to have to wait a wole year to see part 2 , of The Bridge.
ReplyDeletethere should be a Part3 to the bridge. would love to see Ryan and molly's in a marriage eventually. Also to see Molly's father as a father-in- law. ending with part 2 still leaves a lot of questions unanswered.
ReplyDeleteJust watched Karen Kingsbury The Bridge and loved it. Does anyone know where the bedding in Molly's room can be purchased?
