My Christmas Movie Picks for Weekend Watching...

Oh my goodness, it is quite difficult to pick just a few, but if I could ONLY choose THREE for each day, (not including the new movies, of course!) it would be...

for Saturday - "On the Twelfth Day of Christmas," "The Christmas Secret," and "Hearts of Christmas"

for Sunday - "The Christmas Card," "A Wish for Christmas," and "Christmas Cookies"

However, I love so many of the others, too... ("A Christmas Detour," "Christmas List," "A Nutcracker Christmas," and so on and on...) it was nearly impossible to choose!

The New Movies are a definite must see for all Christmas movie fans...  The Christmas Cure and Home for Christmas Day, which are certain to be new favorites! (click on their titles for extra movie pics and storyline details!)

Gold Crown Christmas on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries comes to an end on Sunday evening, but Christmas Keepsake on the Hallmark Channel continues through Sunday, July 23rd! I'll be continuing all throughout this coming week to share the daily schedule and the must see Christmas movies of the day! Christmas in July continues Monday on Home & Family with Hallmark movie guest Andrew Walker (of "A Dream of Christmas").

PLOT:

Storyline via Hallmark: An emergency room doctor returns home for Christmas after many years to find that her father has decided to retire. After reuniting with her high school sweetheart and spending an emotional Christmas with her family, she must decide if she will stay in her hometown and takeover her father’s practice.


Movie Review:

The Christmas Cure is an inspiring, beautiful “home is where the heart is” story!
Welcoming Vanessa back home for Christmas are her loving parents, her fun 18 year old brother, Kyle, and her extra sweet ex-boyfriend, Mitch, who just may still have a piece of her heart.

One of my favorite lines in the movie is when the mother says to her grown up daughter, Vanessa, who is a doctor in the city, “Sometimes you get so caught up in what you’re supposed to do, you miss what you’re meant to do.”

Caught in a quandary, Vanessa is at a major, perplexing decision point in her life… does she take over her father’s medical practice as he retires, or does she get back on a plane and take a higher position at the hospital in the city where she’s been practicing alone for years?

Being home again just may be the cure to mend Vanessa’s broken, longing heart.

Rest assured, this is one of those beautiful Hallmark Happy Endings that we all love!

You may recall, when “The Christmas Card” aired in April on the Hallmark Channel, as the “Meow Madness” bracket winner, launch dates for both Christmas Keepsake Week on the Hallmark Channel and Gold Crown Christmas Week on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries were announced in promo commercials. All devoted Hallmark Christmas movie fans, like myself and most of you here reading this now, were elated and took note!

Since then, however, we have all learned the start dates for Hallmark’s Christmas in July have been changed. (delayed, just a little!) So, in case you haven’t, yet… you will want to update your calendars! Santa gets an extra week on vacation!
