The picture above features Cameron Mathison and Candace Cameron Bure sitting in a treehouse as they are currently filming a sequel to their Christmas movie, "Home Sweet Christmas," which encores tonight on Great American Family. (see schedule below!)

Candace also posted a video from behind-the-scenes, which showed the treehouse in a studio. Candace's followers were shocked to see the treehouse wasn't actually in the forest, but Candace reassured her followers that the original treehouse is indeed in a forest, but this movie features a movie within a movie, and the second treehouse was built on a soundstage.

Sunday, June 1, 2025:

Duck Dynasty - The Revival

“Duck Dynasty: The Revival” follows Willie and Korie and their growing family of adult children and grandchildren, the next generation of Robertsons living on the family homestead in Louisiana. With their dynasty expanding into more than just ducks, Willie and Korie will bring their signature humor and family fun as they grapple with mapping out the future of Duck Commander, watching the kids navigate marriage, children and businesses of their own, and passing down the family legacy.

The All-New Series
Duck Dynasty: The Revival
Airs Sunday, June 1, 2025
at 9pm/8c on A&E

The success of the original A&E reality show "Duck Dynasty" and its recent revival can be traced back to the patriarch of the Robertson family, Phil Robertson. In 1972, after rededicating his life to the Lord and returning to his family, Phil invented his own duck call, laying the foundation for both a business empire and a cultural phenomenon.

But what the Robertson family is truly known for goes far beyond hunting, beards, and duck calls. Although Phil Robertson passed away recently over Memorial Day weekend on Sunday, May 25, 2025, his mission here on earth continues. His greatest legacy is not in fame or fortune, but in his family's unwavering commitment to their faith and their mission to share the Gospel wherever they go.

Phil Robertson's real-life story can be seen in the movie, "The Blind," which is available on DVD / Blu-ray and streaming through Amazon Prime with Great American Pure Flix.

The film is currently Amazon's #1 Best Seller DVD in Faith & Spirituality.

Whether you're watching the new TV movies, the awards show, or getting hooked on the new reality series, there’s something exciting to watch all weekend long!

Interestingly, the two movies airing this weekend are yet again two films that previously premiered on streaming services. In case you missed it, you can see reviews above for both movies from Maria, who is such a great friend and loyal, trusted reviewer here at It's a Wonderful Movie! Thank you so much, Maria!

In addition to the movies, I'm also looking forward to watching the K-LOVE Fan Awards and seeing so many of my favorite performers, including Anne Wilson, MercyMe, Leanna Crawford, Matthew West, Michael W. Smith with for KING & COUNTRY, and many more! Additionally, I'm looking forward to seeing which movie wins the Film Impact Award!

On Sunday evening... watching the "Duck Dynasty: The Revival" I know will be bittersweet since Phil's recent passing. My family and I have lots of fun memorabilia from the original series: t-shirts, hats, duck calls (of course!), books, DVDs, and my nephew even had a fake beard! Even though each episode had hilarious moments (especially with Uncle Si), my favorite part of the original "Duck Dynasty" series was always at the end when the family all gathered around the table to eat, and Phil would lead them in prayer. I'm looking forward to seeing more of that heartfelt faith in "Duck Dynasty: The Revival" and those lighthearted, genuine moments that make the Robertson family so special.

Have a Wonderful Weekend!

SHINING HIS LIGHT:

"Praise the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens! Praise him for his mighty acts; praise him according to his excellent greatness. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet; praise him with the harp and lyre. Praise him with the cymbals; praise him with the loud-sounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!"

The Wedding Contest

Premiere Date: June 8, 2025

Storyline: When a wealthy couple can’t decide on a wedding theme, they hire two wedding planners, Taylor and Ben, to compete for the job by proposing two very different styles. As they compete for the lucrative gig, Taylor and Ben playfully sabotage each other’s efforts but are growing closer together than either of them realise.

Movie Reviews:

🎬 Reel One's The Wedding Contest is super annoying. (and I believe the best friend is also gay). -Maria

🎬 The Wedding Contest - Taylor and Ben are both vying for the chance to be the wedding planner for a wealthy couple. Their rivalry is over-the-top and often crosses the line into irritating. Ben, played by Giles Panton, who I usually enjoy in most movies, takes on the role of a stuffy, self-absorbed character with an English accent. Around 20–30 minutes into the movie it's revealed that Taylor’s female best friend and co-worker has a romantic interest in another woman who works in the same building. I stopped watching after that. -Net

A Wedding for Belle

Premiere Date: June 22, 2025

Storyline via Nicely Entertainment: A wedding blogger returns to her picturesque hometown to marry her wealthy fiance, only to reconnect with her high school sweetheart and realize she's about to marry the wrong man.

Movie Reviews:

🎬 A Wedding for Belle is a very good movie. –Maria

🎬 A Wedding for Belle – I really enjoyed this sweet romantic comedy from Nicely Entertainment that premiered on UPtv. Yes, it follows the familiar rom-com setup… Annabelle, a city girl, returns to her small country hometown and rekindles a spark with her former boyfriend, Lucas, who she’s known since they were children.

Meanwhile, her fiancé, Matthew, seems nice, but he’s half-hearted about their relationship. In contrast, there’s something genuinely compelling about the deep connection between Annabelle (Belle) and Lucas that instantly pulled me in.

Matthew isn’t just wrong for Belle, his mother, Patricia, is also Belle’s boss at a bridal magazine. Patricia quickly takes over the wedding planning, pushing for an earlier date to help her business and turning into a classic “momzilla.”

A few things to note: Belle’s assistant occasionally drinks wine when stressed (calling it “juice”), and when Belle arrives at her mom’s house, her mom jumps to conclusions—thinking she’s announcing a breakup or baby. Axrually, Belle’s there to plan her hometown wedding. When Matthew (the groom) arrives, he mentions having a hotel room for the two of them, but Belle’s mom insists they shouldn’t stay together before the wedding. Belle initially interjects and says that’s the night before, but nothing more is said and she stays at her mother’s home. Also, later on Matthew drinks beer and lets a few secrets slip.

All in all, despite some familiar storylines and cautions, this was a cozy, feel-good rom-com with small-town charm and a down-home warm feeling. ~Net

Movie Review:

🎬 Technically Yours is clean. –Maria
