I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I want to wish all of the fathers who visit here a very Happy Father's Day!

For those of you who are spending Father's Day with your father or grandfather, I hope you'll cherish every moment together. The time we share with those we love is truly such a precious gift from God!

I feel incredibly blessed that I'll be spending the day with my father and my wonderful family. My precious Daddy means so much to me. I love his kind heart and hardworking spirit... what a wonderful blessing he is!

For those whose fathers or grandfathers are no longer with them, I pray this Father's Day brings sweet memories to your heart.

And on this special day, may we also first and foremost honor our Heavenly Father and His impact in our lives... His incredible, amazing, steadfast love for us, his children, and may we strive to reflect this unconditional love in all of our own relationships!

Blessings to You All,
Net

  1. Thank you for this extensive list, Net! You definitely took a lot of time pulling it together for us. We will have plenty on our DVR’s to clear before Christmas in July begins! I already started setting those. .I have a feeling sports will trump the shows and movies but I will catch up on them next week. Thank you for your encouragement as well. My Husband is now the Family patriarch on both sides of our family. We started celebrating him yesterday! Blessings on you and yours.

  5. Happy Fathers Day to all the fathers here! I did not have my father in my life, but I always had my Heavenly Father and I am so thankful for that! I am also so thankful for my husband, who I met when we were just 17 years old & he is the best father to our children, always doing his best to provide and lead our family. For those of you that are missing your fathers during this time, or maybe not on the best terms, praying God will be your comfort.

  6. Review: The Love Heist -
    Family-friendly? Yes -
    Recommend? Uh-uh -

I agree with Maria 100% that this movie is totally ridiculous. Where I don't agree is where it is a bit of fun. I could not get into this movie. Now maybe it's because I don't understand a lot about this industry, but I found the plot (and many of the fashion scenes) boring. Also, it seems it was trying to be part comedy (but the "funny" scenes were more eye-rolling that anything), part mystery (but I really didn't care who the thief was), and part romance (but neither character seemed believable). And did anyone else notice how the scene at the bar - the audio did not match at all the mouth movements? It's like they substituted different words!) A one-time watch only for me.

  7. Hi,

I agree with both Maria and Mark 25 on "The Love Heist" on it being ridiculous. I even tried to watch it twice since I only got through the first fifteen minutes the first time I viewed the movie. The second time was not any better unfortunately and I gave up after twenty minutes. This was the first film, where Lyndsy was the lead, that I did not enjoy. I normally really like her. But, this movie was not fun. The two leads had zero chemistry which is an important and vital aspect for a romantic movie to work.

  8. Awww I agree with everyone here, the movie was cute but not really believable, plus I guessed the culprit right away, it was kind of obvious to me… and then the other thief, I was like huh? No explanation of the ring reason, unless I missed it… Lyndsy’s dress was beautiful at the end, she looked like a cupcake, but that was all that caught my eye in regards to fashion. I did like the supporting characters though, the aunts I think, and the lady who owned the vintage shop. Anyways, one time watch for me as well.

  9. The Love Heist - I have to admit, I’m with many of the other reviewers on this one - this movie never quite swept me away. It had lots of the key things I usually love- romance, mystery, fashion, mistaken assumptions, but somehow the story felt a bit scattered. It just never fully drew me in, it often felt a bit chaotic.

That said, I did enjoy the mystery surrounding the stolen dress, even if I suspected the culprit fairly early on. And the chemistry between Lyndsy Fonseca and Peter Porte had its charming moments.

Now, speaking as someone who loves both fashion and costume design… Lyndsy’s wardrobe absolutely fit her quirky, eccentric, artistic personality, and I appreciated that, but the designs she created for others left me underwhelmed.

The pink gown at the end was pretty; however, I think it would have been even more elegant in a fuller silhouette or a ballet-length hem, but it was definitely the most memorable of all the fashions.

I also thought it was ironic that this movie also used the concept of using someone else’s identity to get into a party – just like Lyndsy’s Christmas movie, Holiday Crashers.

For me, The Love Heist is a one-time watch, but others who enjoy light mysteries and quirky characters may love it more than I did. ~ Net

  10. So, my husband and I finally got around to viewing "A Perfect Match" and it was a sweet and cute movie. Seriously, Emily is all kinds of adorable in it as was her business partner and close friend. I thought Chad and Emily had a nice rapport. Not smoldering chemistry but they definitely had chemistry. The movie itself was light and airy and pure fluff but it was a fun was to spend an evening.
