As season 2 of "When Hope Calls," with all of its incredible heartwarming stories, lighthearted humor, and heroic missions, draws to an end this coming Sunday, I wanted to be sure to share with you all some pictures from my "When Hope Calls"-themed birthday party in April and the newest preview of the finale, which will also include a special celebration!
I called my birthday theme "When Hope Springs" to incorporate the show and this beautiful season of renewal and fresh beginnings! The series "When Hope Calls" draws inspiration from the works of one of my favorite authors, Janette Oke, and the title When Hope Springs New is actually among her many delightful books.
My momma, sister, and I had a wonderful time making and decorating the cake and cupcakes you see in the pictures here. It's always enjoyable for us to create birthday and holiday celebrations together. They are both amazingly creative! I was also blessed to have many family members attend my birthday party. Just being together is the greatest joy!
My sweet sister cross-stitched the Happy Birthday, When Hope Springs, and the little house seen on top of the cake. She has such an incredible talent for creating things and designing. I'm always amazed by her!
I just loved the look of the Teacup Cupcake Wrappers. You can find them on Amazon - click here for details!
I was also gifted this lovely book (pictured above): The Wordsearch Book: Hope with Quotes & Scriptures. With the title of the book being Hope, it was such a fitting present, complementing my "When Hope Calls" party theme perfectly. This uplifting book directs hearts to Jesus and instills a sense (as the title suggests) of hope! The Wordsearch Book is available at Amazon - see here.
On top of the Hope book, you can see in the picture above a delicate gold-chain bracelet. Engraved on this bracelet is the word, Sister. This was a special gift from my dear sister, since the origin of the "When Hope Calls" series was, of course, initially about two sisters. The bracelet is also available via Amazon, see here.
In the picture, you might also see the season 12 DVD of "When Calls the Heart," and a "When Calls the Heart" board game! (So fun!) Both are avilable at the Edify online store.
I hope you all enjoyed this little taste of my birthday celebration! Thank you, once again, to all of you dear friends who wrote such sweet messages on my birthday in April... your friendship is such a gift!
As I mentioned above, the preview of the "When Hope Calls" finale teases that the town will have a special celebration.

Gabe's Mom, Thank you, sweetie! It's always so nice to hear from you! :)
DeleteNet, wow...it looks like you had (another) wonderful themed birthday celebration! Your momma, sister and you always put a lot of effort into these parties, and it shows - everything looks fantastic (and those cupcakes look yummy too)! I'm glad you had such a wonderful time with many of your family members! Now, what's in store for next year? ;-)
ReplyDeleteMark 25, Oh, thank you!!! We always have such a wonderful time planning and working together. My momma, of course, did amazing cakes when were little, too, and we love doing them with her now! :)
DeleteThat is so neat Net that you were able to be with your Mom and sister and help each other with the decorating and I love everything that you did!
ReplyDeleteSarah, Thank you for your sweet comment! It is such a blessing to do family parties together. :)
DeleteYour When Hope Calls party is beautiful, Net! Thank you for giving the link for the cupcake teacup wrappers. I just ordered them for Mother’s Day and can’t wait to use them!!!
ReplyDeleteAlso, are the faith, hope, & love words available in the picture with the wreath? I have a shelf that I know they’d look good on.
Everything is beautiful! If only I could order your gorgeous cake too! Christie
Christie, Oh my goodness... I'm so glad you were able to order the teacup wrappers just in time for Mother's Day. They will be so pretty for your celebration!

Oh Net! I had a feeling you had a WCH themed birthday and it’s so cute! But also yummy looking! I love the teacup idea!
ReplyDeleteAbigail, You were absolutely right! I couldn't resist, especially with the premiere of When Hope Calls on my birthday. We must be kindred spirits! :)
DeleteHi Net,
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing! What a lovely theme for a birthday party. Your sister is very talented. :-) Anyway, looks like you had a wonderful day.
Joan, Awww... thank you! It was my joy to share! My sister and I have learned so much from our momma, who has made so many wonderful cakes through the years. And now... the 3 of us love doing these cakes and parties together.
DeleteWow Net! You and your family are very talented. That cake is gorgeous as well as the rest of the decorations! I recognize the lady in the chair on top of the cake. It's Home Interior and I have that piece. I have lots of Home Interior! Lol! Those cupcakes look amazing! I love the book too! I'm going to purchase that for my secret sis at my church on her birthday! So glad you had a fun Birthday Party! Blessings to you my friend! :)
ReplyDeleteJoyce!!! Oh my, Wow!!! That's so great that you have the figurine, too! We must both have similar taste, which doesn't surprise me one bit since we also love many of the same movies! I thought the figurine had such a perfect old-fashioned look to represent the era of "When Hope Calls."
DeleteOh, I love that you are going to get the Hope book for your secret sis at church! I hope she enjoys it very much!
Blessings to you, as well! :)
Net, I am always so amazed at your family and your birthday parties. The love and attention to detail is like none I have ever seen. Although your pictures are so beautiful, most of all, they scream of how much you all LOVE each other. Every beautiful and wonderful detail just expresses and shouts this profoundly deep love that there is in your family. I am in awe of it!
ReplyDeleteJim, Awww... your comment is so touching! You're going to make me cry. We really do love each other deeply. It means a lot that you noticed and took the time to say something so incredibly thoughtful - it really touched my heart. ❤️
