I hope you all have a truly wonderful weekend - and perhaps, you'll catch the new movie or one of the shows!

When Calls the Heart promises to be an exciting episode, as many are on the hunt for the missing gold, while Allie and Oliver have mysteriously vanished! Along the way, Rosemary will finally uncover Ava's hidden truths. This is bound to be a nail-biting experience for everyone in Hope Valley and all of us viewers, too!

I did see the new episode of County Rescue on Great American Pure Flix and enjoyed it. I love how each episode begins with an encouraging scripture. Be sure to look for that at the very beginning! County Rescue is such an excellent series, if only the episodes were just a little longer, though, I feel I could really get to know each character better. In this episode, Dani is sitting by her father's side as he heals, and she also finds time to reconnect with an old friend. Could it be more than friendship? Andy gives Tim some solid relationship advice that may change Tim's outlook on love; meanwhile, Marcos embarks on a new creative adventure with the help of his co-worker, Liz. The married couple, Ashley and Andy, are dealing with new developments that may change their lives forever. Be sure to tune in Sunday night at 8pm/7c. on Great American Family!

Please note: I haven't pre-screened the new movie listed above. If you'd like to post a review on whether this film is family-friendly, please share in the comments.

If you're excited about the classic Christmas movies airing on Friday night, don't forget to check out the Christmas Schedule! (I'll be keeping this page updated all throughout the year!!!)

Blessings on your weekend,

SHARING GOD'S LOVE:

Rather than seeing anyone lost, God's desire is that everyone will have the opportunity to turn away from their wrongdoings, repent, and find eternal salvation through Him...

"The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness,
but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish,
but that all should reach repentance."

to forgive us our sins
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

  1. I'll try to watch The Royal We, but I am just too occupied with many other shows at the moment to care much about another 90 minute movie these days.

Also looking forward to County Rescue. -Maria

    1. Maria, I understand... there's a lot to keep up with these days. If you get a chance to watch the movie, I'd be curious to know what you think of it.

"County Rescue" is great, so I hope you enjoy it. Just wish it could be longer to get more in-depth on each of the characters.

      Have a wonderful weekend!!! :)

    1. Abigail, Me, too! I think Allie & Oliver are going to be in a little danger this week. I'm curious to find out how they'll get out of it. I don't expect Allie to be a damsel in distress by any means, but I'm hoping Oliver's Mountie skills will be an integral part of them getting out of their trouble.

  5. Over the last few episodes, we’ve seen a tiny double-coin investigation spiral into something connecting multiple figures to the Great Train Robbery of 1907. Even Little House on the Prairie alum Melissa Gilbert got involved, coming on board as a forensic specialist looking to get information out of a guy called Sonny Garrison

The Garrison gang are now the pivotal villain an
& they haven’t even properly been introduced yet. We’ve learned a man called Toddy Davis has been dealing in their stolen coins, while Edie’s late uncle Ernie also has some kind of connection.

In this week’s episode, When Calls the Heart is taking things up a notch, and in the process is putting the lives of two Hope Valley residents at risk.

Allie & Oliver unknowingly cross paths with one of Sonny Garrison’s cronies, putting them in grave danger.

previously saw him watch the pair discuss the Cattlemens Association meeting at the saloon, pouring over the map in Episode 8 to try and find a new solution.
“You two seem to know a lot about the woods in these parts,” the man tells Allie & Oliver in the new clip, with them offering to show him about Hope Valley in return. When Elizabeth comes looking for Allie, Molly tells her she saw Allie & Oliver talking to one of Mike’s customers.

Later in the preview, our mystery man takes the kids to a secluded part of the woods, where they’re approached by Sonny. “Sonny Garrison, that’s your face on the wanted posters,” Oliver says when he recognizes him, with the criminal responding “Ain’t you smart.” Elizabeth, Nathan, Billy, and more Hope Valley residents rush to find them, with Bill finding Allie’s bow hanging in a branch.

Remember, Sonny has a bounty of $100 on his head, which is major money in 1921. Chances are Allie and Oliver are being used as bait so other members of the gang can get their hands on it.

They’re not the only townsfolk who are likely to be at risk. Bill and Nathan will be leading the manhunt for them, meaning any immediate danger has to go through them first.
We’re still not sure how it’s going to play out now the Garrison gang has made tracks to Hope Valley, but we do know new storylines are set to “shatter” the town in the second half of the season. Endangering children is a new tactic for the TV show… so let’s just say any drama when the kids might not last for too long.

  6. What are your thoughts of the Little House reboot?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Abigail, I heard the reboot was happening, but I haven't seen any details beyond that, yet. I'm afraid what they might do our beloved "Little House." For me, it's one of those things that just can't be done again. The original will surely always be the best.

I mean, hopefully, they will make something nice and wholesome, but I'm having a hard time trusting Netflix since they said it was going to be a "reimagining" of Laura Ingalls Wilder's books of "Little House on the Prairie."

Have you heard any more details???

      Delete
    2. I’m not sure. The original is so special. I know it can’t compare. But Melissa Gilbert is backing it up and so is Dean Butler. Melissa said in an interview on Heart to Hearties that it would be more like the books, unlike the original series. But when I just searched it I got what you said “reimagined.” I’ve never been a fan of the content that comes developed from Netflix. They did that show Anne with an E. and it had woke. I would be sad and not surprised if this was the same.

I can’t help but be curious, but I don’t have a good feeling for it.

    3. Melissa is backing it for leftist political reasons, that IMO is not a good sign at all. (look up what she said to Megyn Kelly on the issue, it's really awful). -Maria

    4. Netflix is reimagining Little House on the Prairie as a series based on Laura Ingalls Wilder's book series. The reboot will be a family drama, survival tale, and origin story of the American West.

      Key details
Rebecca Sonnenshine will serve as showrunner and executive producer.

Susanna Fogel, Danna Fox, and Trip Friendly will also executive produce.

CBS Studios & Anonymous Content will produce.
The reboot will not feature the original actors from the NBC series.

      Fan response
Some fans are skeptical of the reboot, and have expressed concerns that it will be "wokeified".

Former Fox News host Megyn Kelly has been outspoken in her criticism of the reboot.

Melissa Gilbert has defended the reboot, saying that it will address issues that were not easily addressed in the 1970s.

      Background
Reboot plans for the original NBC series began in 2012.

The Little House on the Prairie book series has sold more than 73 million copies since it was first published in the 1930s.

  10. The Royal We Review:

This was the best royal film I have seen in a long time, probably topping to #1. I wasn’t expecting to enjoy it that much, but I did!! And I thought before, they were engaged in the beginning, but we do see them fall for each other before a wedding. There was a burst of chemistry with these two that really pulled you in and they were like friends, leaning towards something special and always kind to each other. How can you not fall in love with that prince! He’s so nice!! It was family friendly and for Parent Trap fans… this movie had Martin the Butler in it!! If I could describe it in one word…Charming!!

Just a couple scenes I would change. I was uncomfortable with Bea in her pajamas in the prince’s bedroom, also in his PJs, alone together. Nothing happened, they kept it innocent, no seductive feeling. But as a Christian, I would have liked it better if she didn’t enter and he came out dressed.
The same with the star gazing scene, she was fully dressed and he had his PJs and robe. I would have been totally fine with is. They were having a special moment and it was so sweet, but unfortunately we see the time turn into morning and they fell asleep snugly together. This was a big no no for me and I couldn’t help but think, if this was set back in time her reputation would be ruined and he would have to to the honorable thing and marry her. I wish our world hasn’t changed from that, but unfortunately we had.

Those were 2 very short scenes and the rest is so fantastic, I have to give it a great review. It is worth watching and they give you hints about the next 2 royal movies coming out. I believe they are all connected just like the Wedding Veil movies.

And I agree with Maria, the best friend really over played her role and was really cheesy. But she was nice.

    1. Abigail, Thank you for sharing this wonderful detailed review for The Royal We. I, too, never like those sorts of scenes that you described. Glad they ended up being innocent and all, but still that's never a good idea from a moral standpoint.

Also, I had no idea that these upcoming Royal movies might be connected... that is interesting news! (Is that by any chance the surprise Maria was mentioning???)

Thank you, Abigail, for this lovely review! :)

  11. Another wonderful, fantastic episode of WCTH!! How smart of Allie to remove her ribbon right at a separation of directions! Poor Oliver, he made a mistake trusting Woody, but he is in training and he learned something very important, but earned even more of Nathan’s trust in the end. And thank goodness for Molly’s curiousness! Her reaction when Woody rudely bumped her was so great!

Angela and her blind school! A flashback to Mary and her school! So cool to see! What a great place for her, all the kind welcoming students who are thriving. I wonder if some of them were blind in real life? If not they did a good job acting.

The truth comes out about Ava. It was so funny to see Rosemary pull Elizabeth around like she’s on the end of a string on her snooping. Funny to see Lee telling her to be quiet and firm with her as well.

Poor Hickams! They were over their heads in the cafΓ©. But at least they had a couple who was happy with the meal they presented.

Interesting to see the direction Lucas is heading into, glad to see Henry is helped out. He always has great advice. I can’t wait to see more!
