I hope you all find something fun to watch or do this weekend.

In addition to all of the movies, there are plenty of sports options on TV, too, including US Open Golf, Formula 1 Racing (no Nascar this weekend), MLB Baseball, USFL Football, and so on...!

I pray all of the Fathers and Grandfathers who visit here have a very Happy Father's Day!

For those of you who are spending this Father's Day with your Dad or Grandpa, I hope you will truly cherish this special time.

I am so grateful for my Father, who is strong, hard-working, funny, and caring. He's one of those people who can fix almost anything, and he's always there when you need him. I will be spending some special time with my Daddy and all of my wonderful family this weekend - honoring all of the Fathers in our family, past and present, who have and continue to bless our lives.

For those of you whose Fathers or Grandfathers will not be with you, I pray you will recall many precious memories... and those moments bring you peace and joy.

On this Father's Day, we can all give thanks to our Heavenly Father for the incredible gifts He has given us and choose to walk with Him each and every day!

Blessings to You All,
Net

  1. Another great film for Father's Day is Courageous (by the the Kendrick Brothers). A film about fathers leading the family in spiritual growth. Funny, but serious concerning the gospel. One of my family's favorites!

  2. I'm forever grateful to still have my dad in my life. :)

I'll be recording that new UP TV movie. And I find it really sweet that Hallmark is rerunning Season 1 of Chesapeake Shores. -Maria

  3. Appreciate the shoutout in your post Net, to USFL Football. Glad someone else knows the league is relevant and a great professional football league. It's great that we can have football all year round now with spring football, with the XFL starting in February and the USFL starting in April! I'm a Philadelphia Stars fan so excited to see this last week of the regular season, as all 8 teams are in playoff contention for the 4 spots. Happy to see that there are more weddings being featured in Hallmark movies now with the return of June Weddings and not just romance movies.

    1. Peter, Hey there! Hope you were able to enjoy a mix of sports and movies over the weekend. I'm not knowledgeable about USFL football, but I know a lot of guys (and some ladies, too!) are into it these days. Hope your team does well!

By the way, I was also glad to see the return of the June Weddings theme for June! :)

  6. I will be tuning in to both new movies this weekend on Hallmark & Up Tv. I am most excited about the Chesapeake Shores mini marathon though as I will be recording them. As much as I love Hallmark, for some reason I never watched any shows so I would like to begin watching Chesapeake Shores from the beginning. I love all the actors in there from the movies I have seen them in, especially Jesse Metcalfe and Emilie Ullerup so I think I will really enjoy this show. I hope everyone has a great weekend celebrating all of the fathers in our lives, especially our Heavenly Father. Love the scripture you shared Net, no matter the situation any of us are in with the fathers in our life, we all have a Heavenly Father who is always faithful.

  9. The Wedding Contract is family friendly about Rebecca is a teacher & Adam is an Ad Executive are excited to plan their Jewish Wedding. However, their nuptials & future are put in jeopardy when Adam lands a new ad campaign & their Mothers meet. Rebecca & Adam have chuppah for their Jewish Wedding. She & Adam have a lot of common. They’re finally married. Adam broke the glass to step on the chuppah during their wedding ceremony. Kevin is gesturing Adam by saying I’m watching you. Adam picks Rebecca up at school when she’s teaching Kevin at school.

  11. Hi all,

The Wedding Contract was a great movie. :-) The two leads had real chemistry and it did not have a contrived misunderstanding which was refreshing. I enjoyed getting to know some of the Jewish traditions. I highly recommend this sweet movie. :-)

I also taped all of the Mystery 101 movies and will binge watch them with my husband. We never get tired of watching this fantastic mystery series. We are still mad at Hallmark for CANCELLING this series. :-( :-(

    1. Joan,
I so appreciate you sharing your thoughts on The Wedding Contract. So nice to know it's a sweet movie! :)

Also, I totally agree on Mystery 101; Hallmark made a major misstep there. Like you, I still enjoy the encore airings, but the cast and viewers were wronged.

    1. That was just a fake poster made for fun, but I wouldn't be surprised if it sparked someone's creativity and something was made because of it! :)

  15. I watched the Wedding Contract-It is Family Friendly! Very sweet movie, and I didn't know much about the Jewish traditions, so it was pretty neat to see that in a movie. I loved Becca Tobin-She always does such a good job in these movies, and I thought her chemistry with Jake Epstein was really present throughout the whole movie.
